A collection of video clips from the many and varied activities I have been involved in over the years, ranging from survival camps with students to sea kayaking and bush walking trips mainly in Tasmania.
Some people say my videos are too long, well, I like telling stories and that takes time. I am not out to sell you something or give you a "quick flick" about a something. I leave that to advertising people. So I hope you stay tuned till the end of story and get the full benefit of the experience. If you want more information on specific trips visit my web site at jeffjennings.riscy.biz/

Lulworth Volcanic Landscape
zhlédnutí 210Před 4 hodinami
A revisit to an interesting and largely unknown volcanic feature located just west of Lulworth. I found this some years ago on a sea kayaking trip from Lulworth out to Twenty Day Island. At high tide you can negotiate a long narrow tunnel that runs through one of the headlands. Well worth a visit by quadcopter to get a new perspective on the area.
Cradle Sunrise

No prizes for guessing where I have been. Very early morning wake up.
Night Lapse 4a
zhlédnutí 60Před 21 dnem
Yet another experiment. Couldn't believe how much activity there was at the Old Pier last night.
Nightlapse
zhlédnutí 80Před 21 dnem
An experimental night lapse video. Although I had a power bank attached it failed to keep the camera working, hence the short duration. More to follow.
Bridport Snap Shots

A few more special moments in Bridport. Life is always interesting if you go looking for it.
Bridport Sunrise, 1st April, 2024
zhlédnutí 104Před měsícem
Not a foolish sunrise at Bridport this morning.
Bridport Lions Club Easter Egg drop.
zhlédnutí 245Před měsícem
Thanks to the generosity of the Bayles family and Bridport Lions Club, there was excitement and fun at Bridport on Easter Friday 2024. Maybe a bit of chocolate overload in some cases.

Tree lopping in the Bridport Caravan Park, 28th March, 2024. These guys certainly know their stuff.
South West Cape
zhlédnutí 1,5KPřed měsícem
A flashback to 1997 when Laurie Ford, Grant Hyland and I did a two week trip from Cockle Creek to Maatsuyker Island, Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour. One of the most challenging and interesting part of that trip was the rounding of South West Cape. This rocky spine represents a significant challenge to sea kayakers pointing deep into the Southern Ocean and home of incessant winds and huge waves...

Beautiful 😍 I had the privilege of living and working at Cradle Mountain in 2006 to 2008 I would often be found sitting on Marions lookout as the sun came up by guests that would a couple of hours later find me serving breakfast at the lodge. I had the pleasure of being there and enjoying all seasons..a beautiful place indeed. The depth of winter was the highlight of my time there.. frozen, beautiful, and silent. Thanks for sharing 👍 a beautiful time in my life remembered.
Nice one Jeff, that must have been a chilly wait up there. I hope your training for another hike.
Brilliant
The Creator gives us wonders to see.
hi Jeff, what camera and settings are you using? Thats beautiful
Just a GOPro Hero 10 Black. Quite a bit of post processing in Da Vinci Resolve and Edius 11. Probably get better results using my Canon/Sony mirrorless cameras but GOPro makes it easy to do.
@@jeffdjtube Oh yep. Thanks jeff
A wonder to behold, hidden from us city slickers.
Very peaceful to watch
Is that a GoPro night lapse or done using a DSLR 😮
GoPro but will try the mirrorless camera.
@@jeffdjtube the GoPro’s do an amazing job 👍
One of the best videos I have seen of Devonport Jeff, an outstanding piece of art. Do you have to have a CASA Licence to apply for a permit to fly here ? Thanks...
No you don’t need a casa licence but you do need to complete a DJI fly authorisation as it is in an aerodrome approach zone. If you fly an acutely drone this doesn’t apply.
@@jeffdjtube Thanks, where do I find the form to apply ? I fly a Mini 3 Pro - 250g - so do I still need to apply ? Thanks
@@zstanley86 Have a look at this support.dji.com/help/content?customId=en-us03400006732&spaceId=34&re=US&lang=en&documentType=artical&paperDocType=paper and yes you need to get permission even under 250gm.
Nice work Jeff ❤
Best part of the day😀
You forgot to mention that the name of one jetty is the Craske Jetty
I did name Craskes Jetty when showing a photo of it and the storage shed built on the jetty.
Great stuff. Thanks.
Shark city there.
Beautiful place and great production . Can you recommend any walks along it? Are there any bird hides?
Unfortunately it is on private property, I don’t think there are any bird hides. You can access parts of the cut along the beach.
Beautiful video footage. Is Adam’s Cut part of the Forester River?
Yes the Adams family diverted the Great Forester River in 1923 to stop flooding of their Barnbougle property.
@@jeffdjtube wow thank you, I never knew that.
Jeff you may like a book: South Sea Vagabonds by J.W.Wray. A New Zealanders in the 1930's who build and sailed his yacht around the South Pacific from Auckland. Interesting because the islands are unspoiled prior to the Second World War. Enjoy.
Death wish.
Maybe get Bridport to build the attic submarines!? They are pretty efficient at ship building.
It is wonderful to know not many people are interested
You could not go wrong presenting this. Thank you
Wow! You guys went deep! Thanks for sharing
Thankyou Really enjoyed these videos on the dam. Excellent work on the camera
Old days on the south coast when fires were allowed
Really enjoyable video Jeff, thankyou
Such a treasure, thank you so much for this beautiful intimate footage of these wonderful animals
Very beautiful
why is the kayak tip going underwater? too much weight?
Están muy locos
One day I will walk around this track, and think of how you showed it to me, greatfully.
This is the best Video you have ever done, thanks for your efforts.
Thank you Cob, it was a bit of a labour of love.
May I ask though; where is Part 1 of this duo?
Part 1 was published in the Dorset Tasmania History Society Facebook page a year ago. I will post it on my CZcams channel as well shortly.
Ahhh Jeff, your insights & filming is just brilliant! Thank you.
Thank you Kate, glad you enjoyed, it was a bit of a marathon effort collecting all the info/vide/photos from many years.
Interesting
very nice cars, great drone footage 👍
beatiful, ❤
Why is there so much emphasis on this road to Scottsdale when Golconda Road has more to offer and interesting? Lone Star Cafe Station at Lebrina and making Denison Gorge a recreational camp picnic hub?
Very nice camera angles!
You know Jeff, you do more for helping the tourism economy than 'Visit North Tasmania' who appear to sit on their hands and drink coffee all day. well done again.
Great video Jeff, how much of the tunnel is blocked. I have walked the other tunnel, it would be good to open up that tunnel for us normal tourists
We calculated that there is about 50m of the tunnel blocked at the southern end.
Thanks again for showing St Helens off, I ended up having a look onlline at the houses, interesting place, looks like a nice place to live.
Thanks, I did want to show more of St Helen’s town but I had the wrong quadcopter. Next time I will use a different machine.
Love your videos Jeff! Great work!

I can't think of a word that would be good enough to do that film justice! Enthralling. Thank you so much for sharing. Made my day to see beautiful Bridport like that.
Thank you Kate, I’ve lived in Bridport for over 50 years and it never fails to surprise me at times.
Over the summer holidays how many people approximately would stay in Bridport?
Probably 2 - 3000 people
He wanted to know if you cared about him.
That's just beautiful, liked and subbed
🥵
Happy new year!
