    I own one of these and a J45, HD28, and a 000-15M. I play the 0-18 more than all of them combined. So small and comfortable but so much good sound.

      @Eric Reid ; I was late at the party. Only played electric guitars for almost 35 years when I finally bought my first acoustic.
      It started with a Gibson J-45 Standard. Last year I bought a Martin D-28 and a Martin 00-15m. And now I can't sleep because I immediately fell in love with the 0-18 when I played one in october 2021 and today I found out that there's a good chance that I can get my hands on a 2nd hand 0-18 in a trade with my G-45 Studio (I never play that thing) and my beautiful Gibson Les Paul Standard Lite DC. I'm not sure if it will happen, but I have a good feeling about this.
      I never thought I'd own a 0-18, but I think it will happen!!!
      Did you purchase yours already? 😃

    Totally agree on the mahogany points, Quinton! I've grown to love its organic, woody sound over rosewood. I used to always want that dark rosewood Martin ever since I was a kid, but once I played a 2019 D-18, I was blown away. It's still my favorite guitar Martin makes and thankfully I own it.

    Love this guitar. I use my 0-18 for classical, bluegrass, fingerstyle, picking and strumming. The timbre colours and flavors and sustain rings out beautifully. More I play this Martin 0-18 the better the sound gets.

    Quinton And Matt from Eddie's guitars out of St. Louis, MO are my two favorite demo guitar players. They play in such a way that each instrument gets shown it's strengths and true potential to the buyer or listener. They also explain what the guitar sounds like.

    This with an Adirondack spruce top and siris body and neck with tons of very plain creamy inlays around the body, neck, headstock, and rosette, with light wood and dark wood purfling all around. Throw in the best hidden pickup system and bam. Perfect guitar.

    Great video! Great guitar! Thank you guys! Quinton, what is your opinion about this guitar if you compare it with your CEO-7? Probably the proper comparison should be done between CEO-7 and 00-18, because they are of the same size. But anyway, just interesting to know your opinion based on your almost one year experience with ceo-7. Thanks!

    I've also gone from rosewood to mahogany in a big way. And Martin Guitars (it only took me 40 years to find ones I liked). Now I have a collection of them. I fear the mahogany is an age related thing... Add the love of Crocs or Sketchers and then the only reason for dropping the roof of a convertible Mini is to put my walker on the back seat!!! I'm old! 😂🤣😉

    I thought about purchasing the 0-18. Went for the 00-15 instead. For me the 1 11/16 neck on the 00-15 was more comfortable. But the 0-18 is very nice.

    • @mariodriessen9740
      @mariodriessen9740 Před 2 lety

      I got interested in the smaller sized Martins last year, when I played an old 0-18 in a recording studio. That thing got me obsessed. I had just bought a Martin D-28. Now..., I'm not a wealthy man by any stretch of the imagination, but as I was looking for my options I fell in love with the 00-15m. Small, relatively affordable and (imo) a very nice sound.
      Given the fact that the 00-15m is a bit larger than the 0-18 and taken in consideration the fact that the 00-15m has a larger scale lenght, why do you find it more comfortable to play? Is it merely the nut width?
      I'm excited, because my 00-15 will arrive on friday, the day after tomorrow. 😎
