But if I get a b it doesn't mean I'm not ambitious and enthusiastic about my subject?

They want people who are the best and most ambitious in their subject

Charlotte Mason you obviously have to be good at the subject on top of the enthusiasm.

on the supplementary answer questionnaire we are supposed to give AS UMS marks, but for alot of new, reformed, exams they no longer have UMS. For example, in physics i got 86% which is "low" by cambridge standards with the average UMS being ~90%, but i was nearly 30 marks over the A boundary and the exam was only /140 with an A being 87 (62%). I think it would be very unfair if we were to only give raw marks as there is no comparison to be made between without UMS marks between an easy exam and a hard one. What does this mean for applicants applying for entry in 2018?

greg kudzin Since many schools don't sit AS in the same way anymore as it is linear It would be unfair to judge by the AS score but look holistically at GCSE personal statement admissions test and if you get to that stage interview, look at the range of UMS vs. Average. Also AS ums aren't looked at as the course is no longer modular, the only ones thay ask for are maths and further maths 0
