Using Tracker Trucks and Ronin cast trucks as cast examples is doing the industry a disservice. Tracker, Sabre, Ronin are no longer producing cast trucks. We are talking over 10 years ago those brands stopped making trucks!!! The three major longboard truck cast manufacturers are Caliber, Paris, and Bear. The quality of these trucks are insane compared to when the industry started. All the problems you stated are old issues, resolved years ago. The fact that Pantheon has built an amazing LDP board (Supersonic) using standard Paris V3 or Bear Grizzlies shows how good cast trucks are. If you are going to compare Cast with Precision, at least use current trucks.

there are some differences in strength regarding casted vs machined aluminum too. but with today's quality of castings I find hard to justify the premium price of machined parts.

Good Point, Casting reduces strength. At the extremes this might be a problem. But tbh. no longboard truck ever broke in half for me. I think its more important on Skateboards that take a lot of abuse... But they are not using Precision parts either :D

@@skate-horizons as far as i know the cast metal is tougher than machined. But if it is cast already in shape there might not be that much of a difference

@@LaggerSVK Hey, due to the grain structure of the material, it seems that forged trucks are the strongest, while machined and cast trucks are not ideal.
But im not sure how practical that info is for regular use!

Using precision trucks 100% worth it. just a fact . 100%

"Precision" trucks are a rip of for incompetents that like blaming equipment. When your more reliant on bushings made of plastic, wheels, the surface, your body the difference between "precision" and "cast" is only COST !

Yeah I would 100% agree that for 98% of riders precisions are ov erkill. Me included.

Hey there, I totally agree. The Quality of the main Brand Cast trucks is very good!
But most longboards sold on the Market are still using rather bad cast trucks. See my old cast truck I show in the video.
Buying a landyachtz complete or a Loaded complete is way too expensive for the average buyer, depending on the country ofc too.
I see why you don't like the use of tracker and ronin. But I still like my tracker fasttrack and my ronins, and if you agree that modern cast trucks are even better, then longboard has made of lot of progress over the years ;)
