    Good video. Worth pointing out that if you short S Cinetone, the second base ISO is lower on the ZVE1 and thus ‘normal’ low light.
    I shoot a lot at 120fps, and ZVE1 really shines there.

      Thank you. I think the problem is if we want to put the s-log3 footage and s-cinetone footage in the same video, matching the color is a bit troublesome; otherwise s-cinetone is a good option for ISO2000.

    I have not used camera body for over 4 years. on a praticle note, when making video on a7c mark 2, do u use viewfinder or LCD screen in most cases? I wear glasses now, and i thought maybe i dont need to wear one if i use view finder.. But do we even use view finder while shooting video?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I only use viewfinder when the sunlight is too bright, 90% of the time I use the LCD screen. I think it's just about personal habit. Some people claim that seeing through the view finder, the color and lighting will be more real, but I prefer using the LCD screen

    When using the zve1, open the dynamic active steadyshot. How about the video quality? Will it drop or not?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 2 měsíci

      It really depends on whether you take videos or photos more. A7cii is no problem for both, but if videos is your main focus, zve1 is more powerful.

      I can assure you, at least in APS-C crop mode, rolling shutter will not be a practical issue. Just returned home from my very first video shoot at a race track with my a7cii and there's only a single clip where the rolling shutter is barely noticable (and only if you actively look for it)

    Hello Taïwan from France. So are you happy with your a7c2? I think I will take it finally.
    CAN you tell me if the 4k 60 with crop has much more noise than 4k 24? Is it at rhe same level than a6700?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 4 měsíci +2

      @ninay7685 I'm happy with the a7c2, but 4k60p does have more noise than 4k 24p because it's in apsc mode. If you need great low light capacity in 4k60p and no crop, I believe zve1 is better.

    I think the footage comes out from that 12mp sensor is something beautiful. You don't need the 4k. Here's a video that I shot with the Sony Zve1 and the apsc kit lens 16-50 powerzoom. The most compact and versatile combo ever czcams.com/video/g5-KVAWBtbg/video.htmlsi=5LSooI6vJpdMn809

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thanks for sharing, it's beautiful! I wonder since you're using apsc lens, why not use 4k with dynamic activesteady shot, but instead use 1080? I understand you don't need 4k to get good result, but it's still good to have it if it's available.

      @@ConstantineSPhotography Thanks 🙂 anyway the main reason is to not have big files. Even if I got an Imac with M1 with 4k file is not smooth in the edit. And when I see for the first time the quality of the hd file for me it's enough..it gives me a more natural look in my opinion 👐🏻

    How is the dynamic range of the A7Cii sensor vs the ZV-E1?

    • @ConstantineSPhotography
      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 4 měsíci +1

      According to the official website they both have 15+ stops of dynamic range. I can't really tell which is better by just looking at the images.

  • @Digitalfiendscom
    @Digitalfiendscom Před 4 měsíci +1

    Thank you for this review. This is my exactly dilemma right now. I currently have a Nikon D600 with some good glass but want to upgrade so that I can do some video work as well. The ZV-E1 is incredibly appealing given all of its features but the low megapixel sensor for photos is a bit off putting as I do tend to require the ability to crop in on photos of race day events, etc. So that led me to the A7Cii which seems like an amazing camera and probably sufficient in the video department, except for the rolling shutter and lack of 4K120. The sensor seems quite good and I like the fact that you can use APS-C glass and still get true 4K video, unlike the ZV-E1 which has to use clear-zoom (which admittedly still looks good but not as good as true 4K). I've already got a gimbal too so the Dynamic stabilization of the ZV-E1 isn't a huge bonus. I do like the extreme low-light performance of the ZV-E1, but as you showed, the A7Cii holds up extremely well (if not a bit better) at more "normal" high ISOs. The heat management seems better on the A7Cii as well.
    I'm really leaning towards the A7Cii as I think it would allow me to sell my D600+Nikon lenses and get an all-round camera instead of the video focused ZV-E1. This video has definitely helped steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

      @ConstantineSPhotography  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thank you for sharing, many of your concerns align with mine. I'm very satisfied with the a7cii, and I don't have to worry about photo quality and using apsc lenses on it. But I really do hope it has uncropped 4k60p and 4k120p like zve1 does.
