#A7CR #A7CII #Sony - Zábava
Love the idea of the R but can’t live below ISO 5,000. Everything I’ve read and seen the R has significantly more noise than the A7Cii starting as low as ISO 3200. The 33MP sensor is an amazing sensor and enough for me. LOVE the size of the A7Cii. It’s so much fun.
Omg, A7CII ! I'm waiting for this !!! #HypedUp!
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it.
Love your videos. Thanks so much
On point, love it.
Great video again Mark thanks!!😎👏👏👏
Thank you Mark, first review on the internet
Great work 🎉
Mark, I think you made this video expressly for me. I am going to preorder this in the morning. Thanks for reading my mind. Denny
Espectacular amigo 👏
It's a great video and a great channel. Learned a lot from your zv-e10 tutorial and since purchased the zv-e10 I still watch every video you uploaded.
Still gonna watch every videos you put out, casue it's great and informative.
Best type of person!!
Thanks for the shoutout to my LUTs as always! Sony REALLY needs to come up with a better naming system... there's far too many letters and numbers these days. They feel like parody names!!
Definitely interested in a direct comparison vs a6700. The 7 stop IBIS is only rated with specific lenses I think so not sure what the apples to apples is.
Would love to just see a picture of the 3 bodies side-by-side as well. Are they basically the exact same size as the a6700
This!
Finally 🔥🔥
Looking forward to a comparison A7c 2 vs the a6700. I’ve been leaning towards but I might try and swing the extra monies towards a7c 2 if the features are worth it. I’d like the best bang for my buck with some long term ownership. Keep the good videos coming! I appreciate them!
Love my little A7c. Cracking camera. Think the R model would be for me as I mainly shoot stills. Love the idea of all that extra resolution but can’t justify The R5 price. Thanks for the great review
Like always great review.. I was wondering if you are going to compare the Video specs between A7cii with ZV-E1 (4K @60p) that would be great!
Both looked great…pretty much agreed with all your points from what you showed. Are the new models any larger than the A7C? Small and light would be a definite win. Maybe next time we can see some run and gun type video too? Will the rolling shutter be an issue do you think? Understand about not taking those cameras out in the deserts in Ontario 😊. Well done video Mark!
Love the idea of a more compact A7IV with the upgraded AF, but I need those custom buttons!
Opted for the a6700 for that 4K 120!! I already have the a7IV. I’m pretty happy with that combo thus far.
Thanks for such a great video. You saved me a lot of time and $$$. I was going to upgrade to the a7r but it sounds like the a7c ii is good enough for me.
This is a very good, exclusive and innovative low light camera review video, only on Mark Bennett's Camera Crisis. Looking forward to making a comparison video about a7cii vs zve1. Thank you for this videos.
Great video, Mark! Quick question: does the a7C II have the option for you to leave the shutter down when you turn the camera off? I know the a7CR has this, but I haven’t seen anything to confirm this for the a7C II… thanks!
Hi Mark, great video as always. Just wanted to know how the colour science is on these 2. What Sony do you think has the best colours? Also, what do you think of the IBIS compared to an OM-1 or a Lumix GH6? What would you choose, EV-1, A7Cii, or A7CR for primarily video and some stills-Camera Conspiracies is booing me
Excelente 👌
Thank Mark, outstanding review as always. I don't believe either of these platforms are on my "gotta have" list, soooo...... yeah, I'm just here for the handsome factor. LOL... Seriously though, thanks again for sharing your thoughts, experiences, humor AND (of course) the handsome stuff. Well done, good Sir!
Thanks for making this mark! I’ve been waiting on this camera before buying my 3rd camera. I’m definitely not letting my A7iv go anywhere I believe that camera will go down in history as a all time great but looking at a B cam that can match it. I think I will be looking the a7cii
Just like the a6700 raised the bar very, very high, these two FF bodies are going to make those larger bodied cameras take a back seat. It's amazing how much more fun it is to shoot with the a6700 vs the A7IV or A7R3. It's unreal. Also, that Tamron 18-300mm aps-c zoom changes everything. Let's see how some of those FF zooms will make the A7C/2/R the ultimate travel camera, or just being the jack of all trades camera.
Thanks for the excellent comparison. Do you know if the A7CR’s sensor lacks the AA filter? I hope that’s the case.
Hi Mark, you are doing an excellent job! I would like to see a comparison between the Sony A7C II and the Sony A6700. I am going to upgrade from Sony ZV-E10 🙂
What's the difference between down sampling and pixel binning?
Mark , the 11mm F1.8 will work fine with the A7CII or is better to buy the A6700?
At 35apc mode they will perform both cameras the same or there are any benefits for the A7CII ( of course better in low light , but what about the field of view , image quality etc etc? )
Thx.
Really hope to see soon from you some comparition A6700 vs A7CII with some Apc lens
I just wish they were priced lower. Thanks for the video Mark.
Great review! I have an A7RIV and a A6400 for travel. I think I will combine the two for a single A7CR and take advantage of my APSC glass!
Likewise,
great sharing ❤❤
OMG HYPE! Haven't watched the video yet and won't get the A7Cii anyways, but I just love the idea of the compact FF so I'm very excited about these releases!
update now watched it:
Surprised that default stabailsiation nowadays is still so bad. I mean, back then I used a Canon G7X. which came out 2014, which I used to vlog our family trips. The stabilisation there was superior and it even had build in ND.
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Do you know if this has a full mechanical shutter? or is it still EFCS only?
A7C2 vs ZV-E1 🙏🏼 please !
All I need in this world of sin is me and my Dougie

Tus fotos son las mejores
I was very excited when I read about the cool features of the a6700. As an APS-C photographer it seemed to be the perfect upgrade of my a6500. But now I tend to buy the a7CR instead. It is twice the price but you get two cameras in one body. I can shoot FF and still have the opportunity to use lightweight APS-C gear when mountain-hiking. 26MP in APS-C mode are exactly what you get with the a6700. The pixel density on both sensors seem to be the same, the a7RC sensor is just bigger. So if money is not a great issue, the a7RC is the best option, as it offers maximum flexibility. If you are not interrested in FF, the a6700 is your camera. Vice versa, if you are not interrested in APS-C and do not need extra high resolution, the a7CII might be the best value for money.
You are right, only the 7Cii is better in low light, better then 6700 and 7CR. i still thinking 6700 or……? what you think
Any focus blacketing function on both cameras?
Do both cameras do focus bracketing? Only one?
yoo is there any successor for zv e10
I have a ZV-E10 and since some time I've been thinking getting also a full frame camera to have the best possible quality in some low light situations. But all the options I had seen were way out of my budget, and now I'm thinking maybe during the same months I'd keep an eye on the original A7C in case I find some "last units sale" or something. I don't need any of the new features (streaming and so on), just a good autofocus and the best image quality I can get. So in terms of only image quality, would you think that could be a good option?
The ZVE10 is super capable.
Every time I consider “upgrading”, I see examples of what the ZVE10 can do.
I realize it’s just GAS.
Good luck, but I think you’re good with the ZVE10.
I'm wonder why sony did't put the best dynamic active stabilization from zv-e1 to those new cameras 🤔 also it's a shame that a7cR don't have this great a7Rv screen movement :(
I miss the opengate from both.
Niiiiice!
Oh! I see you are now at Jared, Many and Mckinnon side of YT :)
A7CR might be the camera I’ll grind to get.
I have the ZV-E10 and use it mostly for photos.
Sony has not released another APS-C that produces better photo results than the ZV-E10. I would love to have that 61 megapixels.
@@bondgabebond4907woah this comment makes me want to buy the a6700
Well, the A7CII is my choice. Don't need the 61mp sensor, have the A7R3 with its 42mp, and it is more than good enough. I just want the CII in black with that handle extender for my pinky. Plus, the cost is more palatable.
Can you compare the A7CII to the A6700?! Is the upcharge of $800 worth it? I know everybody's use case will likely drive what is best for them, but this comparo would be amazing!
a7cR dont have the full articulating screen as well as the a7rV, so disapointing :(
Is the grip on A7C II as nice as A6700? Some say it’s identical. I like the silver topped one. Thinking of getting the old A7C. Just wasn’t a small body for street photography.
Yes - I would say it's a very similar grip
Any thoughts on the color/skintone differences between the two cameras and auto white balance? Sony seems to make tweaks on each new gen and I read somewhere that the A7RV was the best performer yet for nailing white balance. Have you noticed any differences? Did you find one camera's skintones looked better straight out of camera? And how does the ZV-E1 compare in this regard?
The A7CII and R looked the same to me. The ZV-E1 is very close - overall my favourite right now is the ZV-E1
Hi Mark, Currently I'm using your favorite Sony ZV E10 with Sigma lenses 16 and 30mm. You think is it worth upgrading to A7CII for photo and video shoots?
yes, the a7c ii with a nice lens like the Sony 35 1.8, 50 f1.8 or the 24 GM (or many viltrox 24mm) will be a step up and worthwhile if you have the budget for it.
I'm really thinking about this A7c2 I want something compact for video with the AI focus tracking, auto focus and stabilization, I was thinking about the Ez-1 but I live in a hot country and worry about the over heating. You think the 7C is gonna be great for making some films?
I think the a7c should be good in warm conditions,
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis a lot of people are saying the Zv-E1 is still the best for video, I'm just so worried about that overheating, Does it really struggle? Is it that much better as a video camera?
when you want to do vlogging, like walking around in the street and film yourself and describe something. Or take a selfie with one or two more person. Is the Sony 24mm F2.8 on the Alpha 7CII wide enough for this purpose? Thanks in advance
You'll want the 20mm f1.8 G lens for that,. The 24 will be a little too tight
Hi!, I think that all potential buyers of new cameras in 2023 are concerned about the topic of overheating. If possible, make a separate video on this topic. Including at 1080 resolution of 25/30 frames.
for still photo , lower light performance A7cr has equal & better ,while its true A7c2 better in video only .
How the 4k 60p in crop factor mode on the a7cII compare to 4k 60p on a FX30/a6700 when regarding low light? are they virtually the same or a FF sensor is still better even in crop mode?
Ok so, since the subject hasn't come up in the video, I'll venture a wild guess that neither of these cameras have addressed the annoying issue of the screen not being fully tactile with complete menu capability ? A shame, really...
I’m itching to get one of these but I’m having trouble dealing with the fact that they don’t have a full mechanical shutter. Wonder if anyone has actually found this to be a limitation when using the cameras or if it’s just my ocd making me overthink this!
I asked the Sony engineers when they came out and they told me that having electronic first curtain shutter only is nothing but a benefit. You will only see so cutting of bokeh highlights in very slow reading sensors when using e front curtain shutter. The A7CR and A7CII have fast sensor readout speeds and you will not have any issues 👍
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you!! 🙏
Alright. Good comparison as always. However, I'm starting to take these Overheat test with a big grain of salt. Not just yours but the entire YT Camera community. The a6700 has a pretty big overheating issue when using the HDMI port. Did a couple of live stream test, and it lasted 30 minutes. That's crazy....the a6600 would go forever. USB streaming is better, but you have to have USB 3.2 port on your PC if you want to stream higher than 720p. You also gotta consider people using an external monitor as well...my testing shows it will last about an hour before cutting off in my 22 degree, air-conditioned room. For me, that's fine since I usually don't record longer than 30-45 minutes, but still disappointing.
I tested these ones connected to HDMI monitors because I have noticed this to be an issue as well with the a6700 - but luckily these cameras did great and the warning light didn't come on at all.
Thanks. A6700 seems like a better value.
it is
Will you compare it to the SONY ZVE1 & SONY ZVE10 (the legend)
I’ll do the e1 m, but likely not the zv-e10 🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis okie 😆
👍👍👍👍
Good information
does that grip extension fit the a6700 ??? 🤔
Just the A7Cii and the a7cR
Mark, the age old issue has come up where some say the A7CII has an anti-aliasing or lowpass filter sand the A7CR does not. Sony has been very silent on the A7C II, do you have any real information on this to share. if you do can you site your source to understand the validity of this. Thank you.
I don't have any further info - but the A7IV does not have an AA filter so I can't imagine why they'd put it on the a7cII. Plus, zooming in 250% on my images, I see no signs of it - just razor sharp
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I also have an A7IV and really did not think or notice that it had one as well. The A7C II should be a fine replacement for me since I have the A7RV and other cameras if the C II has any issues.
there's no mechanical shutter on the A7C and A&C II cameras! @16:58
There are mechanical shutters on those cameras. You do have the option of using electric too
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis electronic first curtain is not full mechanical
Do you have an affiliate link to B&H?
sure thing bhpho.to/3EBJLDf
Doesn’t the ZV-E1 only have 12 megapixels? Am I missing something here?
It does have 12 mp yes. But a lot of people are going to be choosing between it and the the A7CII
What do you recommend for a beginner videographer for content creation? ZVE10? ZVE1? A7C-II? A6700??
zv-e10 or a6700 if you have a bigger budget
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you so much. Your videos are amazing. The info is like others, but yours, I can understand LOL 😆
Trying to choose between A7r5 and a7cr.
R5 of course, with much better evf, better ibis, fully articulated screen! faster burst, 8K shooting. If you’re professional, choose the professional camera R5. If you’re not professional, the a7c2 is plenty enough.
3:30 why do I think that a7cii has much more detail than a7cr
Excelente
I was considering waiting for the A7CII to come out before i chose between this and the 6700, but glad i went with the 6700 now. Price difference is too much for me to swallow as a beginner, and i think if i ever needed to move to a 'professional' style full frame, the single SD slot is a dealbreaker.
Makes sense to me
O unico ponto ruin é o slot unico fora isso ta tudo tranquilo
actually A7RV pricing are coming down in Hong Kong and same price as the New A7CR, even cheaper a few coins...
wow - then get that A7RV!!
The Sony full frame choice list is not getting easier to tackle.
So they both can do 10 but right?
Its cheaper than a7iv but everything is better except viewfinder? 4K full 60 fps?
Nope, same 1.5x crop
@@dzheyd9609 ufff was already thinking to sell my a7iv
Hermosos
Another camera? Sheesh
A7Cr vs a7riv please
on the way
nice cameras but i'm going to keep using my sony a6700 😄
Lindas camaras fotografícas
Interesting to see that Sony is advertising the A7CR as a hybrid camera on their website. The video results presented here look pretty similar, maybe the color science on the A7Cii was better (preferred by me). I did view the video in 4K on a calibrated monitor
Definitely a good hybrid camera for those who want video and high megapixels
The APS-C 6700 can do HD 240FPS, yet these two full frame cameras only do 120 FPS. Why does Sony pull this kind thing?
Not sure why decisions are made. Some are tech limitations, but they’re not - I can’t figure out why some have stuff and some don’t 🤷♂️
want A7C ii vs ZV E1
on the way
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisyes please!
In my city, A7CII is more expensive than A7IV, and A7CR is almost the same price as A7RV.
Same price as the zv-e1 I think the a7cii is the clear Winner
depends what you need, for me the zv-e1 dynamic active stab and 60(no crop)/120p is a deal breaker
@@jedrulakw well I left sony to get the lumix S5IIX but I had a sony A7C before and loved it but the 8 bit was a limitation for me
@@jedrulakwisn’t the dynamic stabilization just more crop to the frame for better stabilization? (like 1.5x crop) I think you can get the same result with a7c2 with some editing afterwards.
@@pinocchio7490 yes, it is, and more like x1.4 crop but it's much easier/faster when you see what you film
Which color looks better? Silver or Black? 👊
I personally like the black. But everyone else I talked to likes the silver more.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I'm with you on the black choice. It's my preference too, thanks to its professional look, discreet nature, durability, timeless appeal, focus on photography. On the flip side, silver can draw attention, reflect light, follow fashion trends, show wear easily, might not fit formal settings, but it does carry a sense of nostalgia and can appeal to those embracing a hipster aesthetic.
Do they have PZ rocker like the ZV's? Does touch focus works in the app? Does the focus magnification works when the drive mode is on ?
Great camara!
WOW good thing i didnt buy that 6700
cant believe they still cant do 4k 60 with no crop in 2023 😒 camera technology moves so slow
thanks for testing rolling shutter! weirdly impressive that the A7CR is better in full frame lol
My wife won't let me spend any more. Please send over ASAP.
I'd just put the extra money and get the A7 iv, same as getting the FX30 over the A6700.
I prefer my a7iv overall - but it's be nice to have that ai chip and 4K 30 streaming!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yeah, it would, I don't even know why they would even include 4k streaming if it's capped at 15fps, that makes no sense to me.
Comparison video with a6700😂
On the way
Wow, another remake, this time from the A7IV the 45th camera remake of the same camera this year ... you would think Sony would have evolved a little. Another reason why I switched to Nikon. :)
