If you ever wanna do a Pro Climber vs IT Guy video...let me know
Poor pro climber 😔
@@runtervomgasknilch9661 He's gonna hate regression tests
It guy against it guy?
Not gonna lie, I would do also anything to have 1 climbing session with Magnus. I would soak up so much like a sponge.
Magnus Midtbø versus Linus Torvalds. That would be epic!
Girlfriend to Magnus: "We need to talk."
Magnus: "Yes. We need to chalk."
I wrote a personal reflective essay called we need to chalk about this lmao....
Are they still dating?
@@TheRooster1337 I was wondering this too
I had a crimper board hidden behind my hallway doorway/across from the tv. People would only see the chalk bag nailed to the door jam and be like wtf is this?! I remember watching entire shows and not touchin the ground, so these challenges always seemed laughable. I'm glad you guys proved this true. up is still up.
Thanks for this guys.

Magnus taking off t-shirts in 0.5 seconds is Rungne's whole marketing strategy 😂
😂😂
😂
Fr 😂😂
Are you saying that I should buy a rungne t-shirt for my girlfriend if it comes off so easy?
@@LednacekZ that's a great idea! Although some flowers and a new pair of shoes might just do the trick as well 😄
This is totally unrelated, but watching you over the past few months has genuinely encouraged me to lose weight and get fit. I’m a 5’9 male and in the 300s. It’s bad. Life is awful, and watching you climb so elegantly is so beautiful. The way I’m living now, I have zero chance at even attempting to climb. My end goal is being able to climb, and to climb well. To be able to do fun things like this, without worrying about seriously hurting myself. To LIVE. I’ve lost 20 lbs already and go to the gym at least 4 days a week, preferably 5 or 6 on good weeks (: You’re amazing man, thank you for doin what you do (:
Good stuff, bro.
Keep at it.
You’re amazing dude, own that progress. Keep it going. Pick up 20 pounds and see how much weight you’ve lost from your own actions. Climbing is really fun and challenging so I hope you can reach your goal of being able to try it - and sail right past that to some new goals.
hey if u ever want to climb hit me up, i'd love to see you get up your first wall
Nice one buddy, keep it going, keep strong!
....hey man...all you need is 15 minutes on a treadmill EVERYDAY. Put some headphones and listen to 4 songs...it will go fasttt. Trust me! No need to do any other crazy cardio stuff.
"Try these at home if you want" - Me, sitting here with my Icecream, that´s not gonna happen xD
I ate half of a large pizza while watching this video xD
@@shawnupole9316 same drinking ice cold larger after a long hot walk then try walking again, bad idea.
@@dave_h_8742 Yeah Double dehydration.
@@shawnupole9316 I don't have that problem as cannot run (and don't smoke) but cold drink on hot stomach leads to cramping and vomiting.
Me thinking if im having a pizza for lunch!
That headstand needed chalk. Chalk the head = stability & strength
Love how respectful you are with each other! Neither of you is trying to shade the other or show off, which I really enjoyed.
Its called being Norwegian. We live by something called janteloven. 😂 Google it.
A breath of fresh air compared to some athletic folk who are unapproachable.
Really? I thought the first guy was really showing off
@@r.r.r9746 Yeah I agree, he was pretty annoying.
You guys killed it 💪🏻🔥 great video as always Magnus 🙌🏻
i love your vids bro you inspire me a lot keep it king 👑👑👑
Bro love u , i get so motivated by u
yo every time you do a worrkout you inspire me a lot keep it up king
Let’s do 10x10x10 under a minute?!🤘🤪🤪🤪
Would love to see that!
If anyone can do it, you guys can.
and backflip between each set for you Anton
Anton is a mad man but I want to see this!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
And get the WideBoyz involved as well. Lol.
I really enjoy you guys showing how Oden fails once and then does it correctly. It's really cool to see how he still looks professional and controlled when something goes wring.
One of the first thing you learn as a gymnast is how to fall or bail properly to not injure yourself.
Gedday Steve, I'm going to assume that the last word in your post was a tongue in cheek case in pont...
You got me interested in climbing and now it's my favorite hobby! Hoping to open a climbing gym someday even, thank you for sharing your passion with us Magnus!
you can HEAR magnus stretching LOL
That's like my knees too 😂
Been trying to stretch my thighs by sitting on my heels. I started a foot above as so bad, Now I'm just at my heels to bum but hamstrings are still horrendously tight (cannot even sit on the floor to reach forwsrds and touch knees)
7:05 Odin out here with the shameless plug assist, but Magnus doesn't reaaally catch on haha! Odin should become head of marketing and promotion for rungne ;)
10:00 lol that how they both put their arms on their hips at the same time
That's how you know they're BROS
@@ayuminor damn been a year lmao
Challenger:"Put on a t-shirt in L-sit"
Magnus:"Impossible!"
Challenger:"You can then take it of again"
Magnus:"Done!"
I love this recent colaberation!
You mentioned talking to Guinness about getting some records, but I would just not bother with them to be honest. They charge insane fees to get an official judge out to watch you do something.
You'd be much better off doing regular collabs like this, or just making some "Breaking a record" videos like you've been doing. Guinness is on the downturn anyway, and in certain fields (such as gaming), they're already seen as an entity who is just trying to make money off of making other people's work "official".
A video is as official as it gets these days. Being Guinness official adds absolutely nothing of value, and just costs you money.
Yeah I agree. Although they might do it for free as a sponsored video, however honestly I personally wouldn't really want that. I just don't agree with their policy and how they work. Not that I wouldn't watch the video, because I probably will (lol), but I agree that just making collabs or "breaking a record" videos would be best.
Agreed
@in ter Nah, it's pretty well known that the business model of guiness world record revolve around people wanting to have a "guinness record".
So, the guy choose a silly record, pay up guinness (huge amount), who sends a guy watching the other guy doing silly things, and award him with the record.
Karl Jobst did a piece about that:
czcams.com/video/HIbeF0bf1Gk/video.html
Guiness is a joke nowadays, Magnus should stay away from them.
@in ter They charge $10k per day for the official adjudicator plus expenses including 4 star hotel stay and airfare. It's a ridiculous cost, but for the most part it's aimed at businesses that can write it off as a business marketing expense, not private individuals. As a pleb you can submit your record attempt online for free (3 month waiting time), or pay $800 for expedited review. No official man with a clipboard for that though.
You just crushed the sould of Turkmenistani officials throughout Ashgabat.
Odin's story of the press up reminds me of the time I did a 7:30 min plank I was feeling so good until I found out the record was 8 hours
Sausage dogs mock your plank
I am a massage therapist and often heel issues stem from problems in the the lower calf muscles. Please tell Fredrick to have those areas checked out, if he hasn’t already.
Good work guys. Impressive and entertaining.
My ballerina tibial tendons say hello, Missy Bushong😜
This is like watching National Geographic. Something like, "World's Strongest Animals". I mean, I feel like there is no way we are the same species.
Magnus crushed the one arm, one leg. His were clean, with only his hand making contact with the ground. Insanely impressive!
The crazy kind of body control he uses in his climbing translates to other exercises. I really wasn't surprised, but very impressed :)
Great vid I love watching accomplished athletes with real skills fooling around like ttuis. I used to do those supermans on my fingertips, I never even though about one arm one leg, I am 70 years old but I think I will try it. Both of you had great stability and elevation
I love true competition like this. They are kind of gently pushing each other for the experience. But you can tell they care about the result. Very satisfying to watch.
Love from France Magnus! Your content is simple and so pleasant at the same time!
I love these videos. its really cool to see how climbers and gymnasts have different skill sets.
Lmao Odin is so competitive, he’s great. Magnus has a huge advantage in these tasks, climbing for so long has given him a very very solid base.
I love watching Brandon's challenges, cool to see you guys doing it!
Just two buddies with elite physiques. You guys nailed it!
Dang, those gymnast pushups are super impressive!
"How do we make these challenges that are impossible for normal people hard enough to challenge us?"
Love your videos, keep up the good work Magnus!
These collabs with Odin are great!
The most skillful people are always the most humble. Great vid on fitness and attitude.
I never had an interest for climbing but I can’t stop watching this mans videos! And found some other great youtubers from them as well !
I want to see Magnus throw tennisball's into a rather small opening from a resonable distance.. 🙈🙈😁😁 (just kidding, your are awsome MagnusMeatball).
I'm sure he would have won if it wasn't for those tennis balls! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻
Looks like having terrible throwing arms, is something both climbers and gymnasts have in common. Must be their unwillingness to loosen their grip after latching on to something xD
he started with overarm throws which isnt very accurate
Ow. Talk about putting salt into a wound! If it hadn't been for those tennis balls, he would have made it to the final 2. In the other challenges in that round his performances were amazing.
Magnus should do that challenge again, but this time against Espen Jansen. I think their strengths are similar and their weaknesses, too.
Ok... those lalanne push ups at the end... I went like : what the f???. I could not believe my eyes... Awesome! Killed it.
Magnus’s look-back at 13:37 like: “Am I holding it long enough for you???” 😂
Haha, the last challenge looked so funny, you're both very charismatic. Also always love the simplicity and honesty of your videos. Keep it up, greetings to your sister, Hannah, Markus and Marte.
I want to see Magnus learn to do a handstand so well that he can "walk" across a room.
Amazing. Thank you.
I love these video with Odin. Love you getting into gymnastics!!! MORE MORE MORE 😂 Much love from New Jersey, USA
you guys are so cool talking about injuries and stuff
it's like soldiers comparing war wounds
The physical fitness of some people is just mind blowing. And most of us forget the hard work and dedication they put in just because we watch a few of their videos.
No idea why the algorithm sent me here, but this was super cool and I watched the whole thing...
These guys have such chemistry!
Fredrik seems like a real cool guy! :)
Agreed he's a total dude
Awesome video! Really got me in the training vibes.
Oh btw, in case some of you guys are curious about the gymnast injuries, a friend of mine was researching both in paper and in the field about them. She said it was mainly due to overextending articulations, which most of olympic gymnastics exercises use.
I can relate as an ex-gymnast my two shoulders are kind of destroyed, but its ok
xD
massive Respect 👏 to both of you..
Thank you Magnus for making these awesome videos
I knew you were strong, but damn that last army push up was no joke
I truly love this, the variety of athleticism and displaying the strengths and weaknesses of different athletes. My own background definitely biases my opinion, but I still think it would be fun: get a wrestler of similar height/weight and well-accomplished and have him try your idea of hard, and then you try his.
Martine Dugrenier was a gymnast before she won three world championships as a wrestler.
You guys are beasts. Great job! 👍🏼
Very Insperational! Thanks for posting.
One arm one leg plank lift!? You guys are nuts! Great job
Loved this :-) Thankyou :-)
I was just admiring myself in the full length mirror after lockdown and feel I have done pretty well - and then you two pop up!! Bah!
I’m so impressed with these gentlemen. Plus, they seem such nice men as well.
Great video, thank you for sharing.
My first time here, enjoyed watching everything.
I'm especially glad I hung around to see this:
13:30 ... that was pretty insane!
it was funny that you didn't give him a high five because of corona, but you guys lay on the ground several times half naked at the exact same spot :D
Oh man I want to be so strong like them and I want to have a good mobility. Just have to train harder!💪🏻 nice Video!
Magnus editing skills are getting better and better. Top notch here!
Good advice about ramping up with training again. I'll defo be going through that soon.
This challenge was amazing!
Just out of curiosity: am I the only one thinking that the slapping sound (when they hit the mat after the various army pushups) is extremely satisfying?😂😂
I was wondering if anyone else noticed, it sounded like slapping a big steak on a cutting board
@@brienelwoodwashburn2839 exactly!!!
“I mean, I’m better at putting my shirt on” lol
Dudes are monsters!
Please go skiing! I can’t wait for you to do that! Could you go ski touring or something? That would be fantastic to watch!
Super sick challenges, Magnus!!
It is a relief too see there are things Magnus can't do. Dude is a beast i envy him a lot.
Outstanding!🤙💪
looks like an extremely useful skill in an actual combat situation, especially in volatile weather conditions
the last one!!!! MONSTER!!! really cool
Magnus, you are a beast good sir. And I watched a video of you with Juji where you stated that at first you were not that good and everyone said to give up. But your faith in yourself proved them wrong and for that you have my respect.
I love de Rugne publicity!
3:10 "I'm gonna do it in a bar" ...yea, I'll start there too! But, should it be one beer or two? Five?
I only did gymnastics for four years in highschool and in that time I got a stress fracture in my lower back from tumbling and then I had to hang it up after suffering high ankle sprains in both ankles from the same tumbling accident. I still tumble with ankle braces, I don't regret a thing 😁.
14:14 if you see Magnus using that face, it's mean the difficulty IS OVER 9000!
Look at the gymnasts lockout on that one arm hang, absolute beast!
Wow! Incredible muscle control...
Bruh that's badass, this is what I understand under "being Fit"
Gymnast versus climber?! Ha! I was both. We were among the first to start dynoing in bouldering, top ropes and then routes. I do think dinoing was 1st happening simultaneously around the world in the climbing communities. But we brought it to the Boulder Colorado area 1st. And put up a lot of fluid dynamic gymnastic routine like moves. Even doing roots and bouldering traverses like Dino and gymnastic routines.
I actually stopped being a gymnast when I was no longer in school, I made the transition to rock climbing easily. Situational body awareness and strength to body weight ratio with flexibility, gymnastics and rock climbing are a match made in heaven. I was lucky to be part of it early on in the 1980s.
Great post guys! I found it really interesting although 30 decades too late. 😅😊
-Dinoing Don
Sooo true. I' d kill to see a climber attempting MAG horizontal bar and WAG uneven bars🤩
@@sebumpostmortem Exactly. A gymnast could become a good rock climber quite quickly. But a rock climber can't become a gymnast without years of work that started young.
its always funny to see how disproportionately big gymnasts biceps are lol good video :)
I appreciate the advice on stretching; that was freeing: gentle stretching can be done without warmup … Cool!
How’s your stretching going Magnus? 😉
I'm betting he includes it as part of his warm up.

What is AP?
@@jamesporter628 Advanced Placement
I saw first time several new ways of doing such types of challenges. 👍
I love your videos! :D
When your muscle fibers extend (when you stretch) they send a signal to your spinal cord which sends a signal back causing them to contract (fight the stretch), this automatic reaction does not involve the brain but can be reduced by frequent stretching, therefore allowing your muscles to expand beyond their usual length without fighting it (trying to contract) much at all. That's how stretching makes you more flexible
Well done lads! I am inspired!
Love this content 👍💙
I’m exhausted just watching this!
so awsome
Magnus is back on the CZcams grinde
Wow those gymnastics movements require so much core strength, wow !!!
The ease with which you did the T-shirt thing makes that Instagram video look like nothing.
Magnus would make a great hulk meme 😂😂
