Fun video - great rundown of ALL the gear!
Despite working 200+ shows a year for decades one of my highlights was simply hanging in monitor world for a 2500 person conference centre style flat floor gig with the Destroyers. It was a night off for me but I was nearby and just wanted to here the (new-ish) PA the local company had just got. A (really) young lad had just taken over mixing - wonder if it was Jeff?
I was a bit lost back stage pre-show and was staying out of sight near monitor world when the monitor guy passed me a wireless 58 and said "give it to HIM!" and pointed behind me. George! Right there, quietly asking me for the mic! He turned and from backstage he intro'd the opener in his HUGE voice.
" HEY OTTAWA! I'm George Thorogood and I want you to give a warm welcome to "
he handed the mic back and disappeared until show time.
I sat on the beer cooler in mon world and watched these wizards work the room into a frenzy.
I'll never forget when an extended guitar break came up and all of sudden ALL of the Destroyers joined us in the tiny SL mon world - handing drinks out to them was a real treat.
    Thanks George!
    Livin' the dream!

"The obvious trajectory for a drum corps is monitors." Lol can confirm. Marched DCI, ran sound for a few DCI groups, and wrapped up my first tour as a monitor engineer a couple of months back.

How refreshing, a rock n roll band that don't need tracks.......bad to the bone!

This was an awesome tech tour for a new FOH guy with a year in corporate and moving into music.

Very interesting approach! This is what mixing to reduced minimum looks like 👌🏼

Great video! Wasn't a whole lot of talk about bass or keys, though. Are they just going direct? And I assume the sax is mic'd, too, right?

I am curious about what solid state amps they are using to drive the Mesa cabinets for guitar.

48:02 "my guitar tech"? Your the monitor guy not the artist. The FOH guy is way more humble than you are.

I don't think he meant that the way you think he meant that.
