If you would plan to connect 4x Radeon VII I would recommend 1600W power supply. For system I use SATA SSDs. Exact names of components I mentioned in my video so if you will choose different components make sure it will fit, especially when choosing GPUs - they may vary in depth.

Ok, I just did 😁😁 let’s see what the response will be.

@@MorgonautHackintosh How much time did this take to build? Any kernel panics so far? I am looking at the amd-osx project but they don't fully support the 3970x and I don't really want to settle for the 3950x :D
it took insane amount of time to find out how to set all up, but now I can replicate it on as many builds I want in about 3-4 hours
Congrats Teresa! You make me want to change my computer again!!!
Holy crap! Awesome!
I'm in love with your videos Teresa. You deserve much more views. Sharing with all my friends here in Brazil haha they don't do hackintosh but they love to see my reports about installing in my poor acer aspire e15. Congrats, please keep doing this great work of yours.
thank you Ricardo for your very nice comment, I aprecciate it. Take care

Always amazing content!!! Can’t wait for next video
thank you Rafael
Great video, I'll hope to see what motherboard, memories and others hardware components are present inside that monster build. Greetings.
@Stephen Fritz - I SAID CLEARLY LOT OF TIMES I WILL MAKE VIDEO WITH INFO HOW IT'S BUILT IN SEPARATE VIDEO. I HAD TO CREATE FIRST 5 VIDEOS ABOUT HOW IT RUNS, THE LAST ONE WILL BE HOW IT'S MADE. YOU ARE NOT MY PRODUCTIoN MANAGER SO DON'T TALK TO WHAT I DO AND HOW I DO IT!
Ok.. so I was thinking of the mac pro.. now a hack pro sounds good again. Can't wait to see what you have done
You are amazing! What a beast of a machine!
Congratulations! Looking forward to how you set it up. My guess is that is running on Proxmox and ZFS RAID.
Subscribed!!! I'm planning to build my first hackintosh this year. 3900x + rx 5700t is the combination I'm gearing toward to. I'm so excited. Thank you, Morgonaut!

I hate you for leaving us out in there hahaha I want the next episode ;)
Could you give us a full guide on how to achieve the 3970x threadripper hackintosh? AMD-OSX doesn't seem to support it, so I am very confused. What installer did you make/use, I couldn't find it at all on your website!
Good job bro! Congratulations
Thanks
Nice video, really wondering how you got that 3970x (I think?) working with macos. VM? Looking forward for your upcoming video. Stay safe and good work.
this is insane... soon will get in touch with u regards to my build... thanx a lot

Nice!!! I admit I am not into Hackintosh or anything Apple but I like watching your videos.
thank you Stephen, keep watching and share my videos so it can help to more people
Hi, I liked the performance of your hackintosh, and I liked a lot more your own performance in doing so. My greetings and regards with my best wishes.
thanks Saad for your nice comment
wait for next video .. Awesome video .. thanks
you're welcome
Amazing Morgonaut! Will you also publish configuration files via your patreon after the next video ? Any chance we will see it this week already? I absolutely love your channel thanks for sharing with the world :)
this build involves more than just some configuration files and I will of course let people know how, or on what principle is it done
Wow!!! just awsome :D
yeah, it is :)
I'll be there with the open core team for some time. Keep up the amazing work.
Oh my god , my love !!!!! The monster hackintosh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well this is interesting! Looking forward to seeing what the hardware is!
Great video, as always! Anyways. One year ago I got my first Hackintosh, purchased from a local Hackintosh Hero (he knew it all) while I knew nothing, except me knowing the Macs available then/there were a bit weak (desktop versions non existent) and as my old dog, the dear 2012 Mac Mini i7 with 16 GB Ram and a 256 internal SSD, which had been a good machine and fellow for many things for a long time, got more and more tired, this Hackintosh idea seemed to be the only road, and then we went in that direction.
One year has now passed and things have gone well most of the times. I have liked it when (many of the times) it has booted and worked okay. For some times I/it got into deep trouble (with my low Hackintosh knowledge) as the machine didn’t start at all etc… but was finally lucky and got help from a dear friend and by reading on the internet got it up running again, after a few weeks of disaster/downtime.
I have learned a lot during this year, even if I still don’t know enough about the environment called Hackintosh, that’s why this interesting topic comes up.
Hardware info:
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-A II (BIOS 0801- 04/24/2019)
CPU: Intel i7 8700K
GPU: 1 or 2 x Radeon RX 570 Strix PCI
RAM: 4 x Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB/3200 Mhz
HDD: Some SSDs
PCI expansion card 1: Wifi: TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 Dual Band Wireless PCI Express Adapter
Bluetooth: ASUS USB stick, don’t know the model name (works well most of the times/as we all know about bluetooth, it’s not always rock solid, not even on a “real” mac)
PCI expansion card 2: 1 x Asus Thunderbolt EX 3 (Thunderbolt 3 PCI card, to make it possible for 2012 Apple Thunderbolt display/routed via an external wire from mainboard TB to this PCI card, to convert TB3 to TB 2 for the Apple TB display.)
PCI expansion card 3: ASUS M.2 X16 CARD V2 (currently equipped with 2 x Samsung 1TB 970 EVO Plus)
As mentioned above, this machine has been working well most of the time, first with Mojave (10.14.0 to 10.14.6) & later also (after a lot of work without really knowing how I got it up running) tested with Catalina (10.15.0 to 10.15.3) - but now the most important thing of all: ALL THE WAY with the Apple Thunderbolt 27" display (still quite a good display some of us may say). Me myself do like this display a lot, and as I don’t play any windows games and this monitor is what I’m used to, the colour and contrast and design, then why not go on with it? I also got 2 more of this model as “spare monitors”; and yes I also tested, for the sake of it/bought a brand new DELL 27” monitor (don’t remember the model name) which was told to be “the same hardware as the Apple TB display” but it went out like a bad joke when comparing it with the Apple TB display.
The main hardware to get this display working in this setup (which the cool dude who sold this machine fixed easy) is as listed above: the “ASUS Prime Z370-A II motherboard (now BIOS 0801- 04/24/2019)”, with the RX570 GPU output wired/patched into the MiniDisplayPort to an “Asus Thunderbolt EX 3" PCI card, which on the Thunderbolt 3 output has a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter where the Apple Thunderbolt 27” display is connected (and has most of the times worked well, all the way from boot into OSX), to me a mystery how it works, but it does.
Question: Is this kind of odd/strange/old fashioned setup possible - to be able to use the Apple Thunderbolt 27” display more simple - straight out from a Thunderbolt 3 port on any existing Hackintoshable motherboard of today, why not for example the Gigabyte Designare Z390 (via TB3 to TB2 adapter of course as the Apple Thunderbolt display is old and only has Thunderbolt 2)? If so, with the Designare Motherboard, one more PCI slot would be free and also we will get one free Thunderbolt 3 port out from the Designare Motherboard - why not to be used for a modern, good Thunderbolt Audio Interface, like Universal Audio many good options? Do anyone here know if this could be possible to fix, without having a Super-Einstein-Hackintosh-brain/not too complex settings/coding? Is it even possible or is Mac Pro 2019 the one and only way if an expandable desktop computer is needed, for this old but quite lovely display? Does it even work on a Mac Pro 2019?
Why this question comes up here in this thread/video, I don’t know, or why not? Just thinking Teresa with friends are the best ones to answer important questions like this. So let’s go…
Any idea anyone?
Sure you're so proud of it. Changing the subject: Do you have some tutorial about the new OPEN CORE Bootloader? Thxs and congratulations!
Hey Morgonaut......I'm facing some problem with the hackintosh installer.....may you please tell me how can I fix this issue......
The error message shows :
"In memory panic stackshock succeeded bytes traced ......"
I've googled it but no help....
Great!..
I look forward to the next video for a list of system components. Greetings from Turkey 👋

Excellent 👍 I am speechless 😍 Are you using clover bootloader or open core? Which one is better?
Super cool machine, well done Teresa!! 💪💪💪💪 Just curios, Is it running native OS or under VM? Also, what's the GPU Geekbench Metal reading?
Thanks and i am waiting next video
I was looking forward to that video about different GPUs on the Mac Pro.
AMAZING!
Hello Morgonaut :) i love your Work. Meybe in future you make mac mini hackintosh killer? :)
as you can see I rather build "Mac Maxi" builds instead of Mac Mini :)
Morgonaut i know but maybe you will build budget mini hackintosh in future :) i think many People will love that :) mac mini 2018 is great but it is too expensive, not value that much money for that poor power.
I agree a mac mini build would be awesome
You make it so simple, I’m gonna try it, just hope to have bought the right hardware .
Would LOVE to see a build guide!! I am currently running the 3970x on the MSI Creator MB, 256GB of RAM, dual Radeon vII's, M.2's all over the place.. I would LOVE to see MacOS vs Windows, but no matter what I have tried in the past, I cannot get it installed. Please help :)
Incredible performance! Congratulations!
I'm currently on building my own hackintosh with the following specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte z390 Designare
CPU: i9 9900K
GPU: XFX RX580
RAM: 3200mhz Adata 16GB
And now I'm looking to buy an m.2 ssd, a case and a cpu cooler. Some guys recommended me the Arctic eSports 34 DUO for this build, I hope it can handle the CPU's TDP. I read some pretty good reviews about it.
@Cypher Music thank you for your recommendations! Regarding the cpu cooler I was looking into Scythe Ninja 5, what do you think about it?
i have the same CPU, i'm using Dark Rock Pro 4, it's good
Is this build compatible with Thunderbolt 3, or do you need an additional part? My audio interfaces are Thunderbolt 3.
@Morgonaut, does Bluetooth & iMessage work on this build for you? Any issues you've run into? Thank you.
Wow Awesome. I am so excite. I wanna build one too 🥰
Is this a threadripper build?
Hi Teress thank you for the video amazing as always!
where can I find all the components to see if I can build it
right now it's complicated buying with all problem about the virus (please!! stay safe)
Great job! I'd be interested to see how well MacOS scales with that many cores (for example, Windows does pretty poorly, but Linux handles it just fine)
Look at the reviews from professionals about the MacPro. The result is disappointing and forshadows that the new macPro will be as much as disaster as the trashcan macPro. Oh yeah and nobody seem to love the $6000 monitor too.
Windows does fine. Why the hate? Windows 10 scheduler is currently top notch, be sure to update.
Nice, can't wait to see the build! Can you give us a little treat until the new video go's online, like what Mainboard you use? :-)
no, as I said, all details I will reveal in next video
Curious if you're still using Clover or made the switch to OpenCore?
AMAZING!!! I have to buy one when I'll sell my old 2013 black trashcan....
Awesome!
Hi @Margonaut : Do you think this Ryzen configuration is most powerfull than dual Xeon ?
Wow, nice build! Theresa, which 5700 XT are you using, is this the Sapphire 11293-03-40G? Thanks a lot!
I made several videos about this card :( for example czcams.com/video/tIGhklCVq2s/video.html
I just say one thing: WOW!
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
I just went through trying to set it up under HyperV, to no avail. Looking forward to the how-to!
of course you failed :)

Great job. I’m not sure what kind of Hackentosh I want to build. It’s still great see what kind of machine you can build!
I can build anything I want, much more than others can only dream of as you can see
Morgonaut certainly be following you, and will look up your basic but upgradable Hackentosh. I
What are all the components used in this build? I can not find them in the description or anywhere else
because you don't listen to what I say in this video about it or didnt watch whole video = watch whole video to the end, not just few minutes, then you will have answer
Well done Teresa,as always.Regards
thank you Lucjan
