- This is our Ambassador Ambition Review. We were invited to board Ambassador Ambition for a 2 night, Taste of Ambasador cruise, that went from Bristol to Tilbury. We have put together this video in the hopes of it giving you a clear indication of the amenities Ambassador Ambition has to offer. Although invited onboard our opinions are our own.

Ambassador is Britains newest cruise line and we took the opportunity to sail with them in April 2023.Ambassador market themselves as Britain’s premium value no-fly cruise line who sail from 8 regional UK ports. Ambassador Ambience sailed around the British Isles and we were onboard for 11 nights. Ambassador Cruise Line currently has two ships in operation Ambience and Ambition.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

Thanks guys for mentioning the bingo that's the first time I've ever heard anyone talk about bingo on these cruises and I've always played bingo on every cruise and I usually win at least one game. I was on this ship in the summertime and there were theatre productions pays written for the staff. There was even a little workshop where a couple of the actors talk about acting on a cruise ship and the procedure is it was fascinating. It sounds like you didn't get the opportunity to see one of their plays.

my first time on Ambition in 2 weeks...such a bargain too...Ambassador seem really inexpensive at the moment i hope it doesn't detract from the experience
We loved our Ambassador cruise. The ships aren’t new but we felt a very warm welcome. We judged them by how they presented themselves and that’s as Premium Value. Hope you have a great time. Our friends Sisters On The Seas will be on that cruise

Sailed on this ship in July to Iceland from Liverpool. Stopped off at Faroes. It was a fine day & the locals decided to go on a grind. This is a whale hunt. 78 whales & dolphins were rounded up and slaughtered in full view of the ship. It was absolutely horrific. I was physically ill. Ambassador put out a statement about the incident yet they're still calling at Torshavn. So...anyone deciding to sail to Iceland via Faroes in the summer could be faced with another horrific experience. Btw - it's an average ship and I didn't hear anyone describe the food as 'excellent'. Several cruises pre-COVID, every ship I sailed on had a member of staff with sanitiser at the entrance to the buffet & restaurants. This ship just had sanitiser on a stand with 98% of passengers ignoring them. No surprise many people had stomach upsets. Also many had problems with the bathroom, specifically blocked toilets. Ambassador - I will not be back.
Thank you for watching. We can completely understand your frustrations. The events in the Faroe Islands must have been horrific. It also sounds like the experience certainly didn’t meet expectations. We were only on 2 nights so had a limited experience.
@@TomandDomTravel I'm not going to post a media link - the images are horrific & the ship can be clearly seen proximate to the site. This incident was reported in Daily Mail UK, Washington Post, New York Post & other international media. Ambassador obvs couldn't have known it was going to happen & put out a statement condemning it but they're still visiting Torshavn in the whaling season, potentially exposing other passengers to this awful sight.
Good look around the ship. I'm on it in a couple of weeks for a 3 night cruise to Antwerp. I'm not one for shows but with an overnight in port that shouldn't be an issue. I'm sailing alone so I'll probably have dinner in the buffet as the MDR looks a bit too formal, and I don't want to have to dress up
You will be fine smart/casual most evenings apart from Ambassador night. The buffet is a good option although having a shared table in the Buckingham restaurant may make it easier to meet other passengers on the first night. Have a fantastic cruise and let us know how you get on
You won't have to get too dress-ied up & if you're travelling alone, you'll be at a table with other singles. I have to disagree with the assessment of the buffet food - it's not that good. The dining room food was way better & they also serve lunch which, again, is a better standard than the buffet.
@@pamrobinson4350 that’s great to hear. We were only on the ship 2 nights so a small sample was on offer. A longer cruise may alter our thinking
@@pamrobinson4350 I agree buffet food is not great and very hard to find a seat, especially breakfast. MDR food was very good, better than P&O for example, however they still have the old school dining at two set times and set table, so for that reason we are unlikely to go again on anything except a short cruise
Hi guys, thanks for your informative ,enjoyable Ambassador series. With the top drinks package, 15 alcoholic drinks are allowed a day , is that right please? Can we have speciality coffees and soft drinks on top of that? (Not that I think we'll manage 15 cocktails every day!)
Hi thanks for asking. It’s only alcoholic drinks that have the limit. All other drinks such as specialty coffees and sodas are unlimited.

Guys, not to be picky, but the ship was not launched in 2023, it was launched in 1999, bought by Ambassador in 2022, refitted and started sailing for Ambassador in 2023.

Think we prefer Ambience but we spent more time on her. We spotted shuffleboard marked out on the promenade

We had a great time with so much more to do than bingo

Yes - that's pretty much a description of cruising these days - bingo on a boat; germ factories for gluttons. Done several cruises since 1998 & the overall standard's declined so decided after my experience on this ship it'll be my last cruise. Had another booked on Cunard Queen Victoria for next year. Cancelled when I got back & lost my deposit but cool with that.
