"I gave up my tongue but totally worth it", if that isn't the best recommendation ever! Great recipes as always from Aaron and great comments from Claire
🤣🤣🤣
Poor girl! Needs a glass of water when taste testing ! Lol!
This channel has reignited my passion for cooking Asian cuisine... Absolutely my favorite channel on CZcams ❤️ Much love from the US Aaron and Claire
Let's cook together!😎
As a Italian I absolutely love the Ravioli Alfredo hack. That looked incredible.😋
it's so clever to use the dumpling filling for broth! I always forget that you make the recipes easier because they all look and taste so amazing, I've made a few and all taste super high quality and delicious!!
As an Italian: he's right, dumplings, ravioli? Same same! My... my life just changed
See also: calzone = pasty. :D
Same bro.
I love y’all’s relationship! Both have a great sense of humor and positivity, and I love how y’all get a shot of Claire pitching in with the clean up after. Y’all are a team and that’s precious!
The brass or bronze serving bowl with the Mandu Guk really put it over the top on appearance! Gotta pick one up for when I want my dumplings (or cereal) to look extra fancy!
You had me at “Dumplings”!!! My favorite! Here lately I take a pack of clear oriental ramen seasoning and add 2 cups of water, a little black vinegar, a little fish sauce, a little bit of minced garlic, a little cooking wine and bring up to a simmer, add my frozen dumplings and any veggies I have on hand. When the dumplings are done I add the rice noodles to the pot as they cook in just minutes. I start ladling the dumplings and broth into a bowl and then add the remaining soup. Yes it’s pretty to sprinkle green onions on top. Sometimes I like the dumplings fried and eat with a sauce. With this cold weather, it’s been a pot of soup lately!! I will try that pretty topping of the sliced egg! I love you two and so appreciate your videos 👍😍
I'm so happy that you didn't forget the green onions!😍😍
Betty, you have renewed my faith in people from Arkansas 👍 Keep cooking adventurously ❤️
That sounds so easy yet delicious. Almost reminds me of pho!
You don’t have to say oriental ramen
Hello Aaron, for the first dish, you said to add "some green onions"... Is it okay to add "more green onions" to make it more delicious!? 😊🍻
I have nothing to teach you👍
@@AaronandClaire Big Onion conspiracy confirmed. ;)
Not just saying this but Korean Mandu are far superior to any other Gyoza or "potsticker" out there! The difference is truly there! I was actually mad at myself back when I had first discovered them, then tried them because I had been missing out on them for so long!
Tell me about it!😍
Bibigo dumplings are a blessing. Easily one of the best frozen dumpling brands out there, maybe that's why you feel this way!!
If I was so blessed like Claire with all these dishes /meals, I would be so fat.
Good job as always Aaron.
🤣🤣
I'm pretty sure she doesn't devour the whole dish. Especially if there are several in a day. They all look so good! Except for the really spicy ones...
I am in awe of Claire's metabolism. I'm much older than either of you, but were I eat that much food I am not sure that I would be able to fit through any random door.
The reasoning that you give at the outset, why to try the recipe and the confidence that you instill in your viewers is why I watch. Rock on, Aaron (&Claire)
ooh great ideas. my so will love them., she even eats the dumplings like claire
So glad to hear that!😍
I love watching Claire taste test. She has so much enthusiasm for the food ☺️
How’d you know that I have a Costco bag of dumplings? 😅
Cooking the gangjeong dumplings now!!! Edit: delicious!!!! I quartered the sauce recipe, and it was enough to sauce 12 dumplings (for me). I also threw in some chopped cabbage just before putting in the sauce. 👍🏼👍🏼
Weird, all my dumpling are from H-Mart 😉
My dumplings are
From Sam’s and local Asian market!
Eating it now. Delicious. To anyone who makes this, guywithsocks is right. Either half or quarter this recipe because this makes a lot of sauce. Way too much for the 13 I made.
@@bjclassic1950 Sam's is a great place and K's is too (I recommend them too)! Going to pick up rice cakes tomorrow! 😁
Where did you get the korean chili paste?
Palama Supermarket just put mandoo on sale! I'm going to get two bags so I can try all of these recipes. The technique for the soup base with the mandoo filling is brilliant! Clair, as usual, is the best food reviewer on all the CZcamss! Happy New Year, you guys!
I love how easy and quick your recipes are, almost as much as I love watching Claire's reactions! The noises of contentment she makes and the bubbly descriptions she gives always makes me smile. You both make a great team! Love this channel!!!!!!
Thank you so much! 🧡🧡🧡
I love your recipes!
They’re so easy and delicious!!!!
I’m def gonna try these recipes bc we always have dumplings and never know what to do with them!
Thank you 💜
Thank you Nicole😍
Wow, this makes me want to buy all the frozen dumplings!
It’s like you guys read my mind! I’ve had frozen dumplings just sitting in the freezer and been wondering what to do with them
😍😍
I love your videos! I've tried so many of your recipes and they've all come out just as you said and it's been a huge introduction to Korean food. My husband and I always say "don't worry about it" to each other like you
So happy to hear that Megan!! 😍😍 And please say hi to your husband!🤣
Claire is such a good taste tester! So professional lol!
please never stop making videos! They're sooooo good and helpful
Don't worry about it my friend!😎
ever since this video came out i've been watching it so many times
i'm now super hungry 😭
OMG. The Mandu Gangjeong dumplings are no joke the best I've ever had. Unreal recipe.
Been working my way through your book as well, but that dumpling recipe is unreal
I just made the first recipe with vegetable dumplings. Oh My Goodness!!!! These were delicious, Aaron!
Although I started to say, “Claire” after I completed the dish 😂
So I had the rest of the dumplings for lunch today. That sauce is solid gold. Rich, sweet, spicy, sticky --sooooo good!
The hot pot is perfect for the winter cold weather. I know what I'm making sunday
I went to an Hmart for the first time last year and fell in LOVE with the dumplings we got there. Definitely trying these soon! Especially the KFC dumplings 😋 😍 🤤
You're gonna love it so much!!😍
what is Hmart
@@sephoraplays7591 H-Mart is a giant, massive, Korean grocery store in America. They're all over the country in major cities.
@@markphillips7538 Thank you
It’s miserable here. So cold. Claire’s “excited food face” warmed me right up. Some great ideas as usual.
I do not get tired of always having my frozen dumplings the same way.
But I like trying new stuff so I am happy to try all of these.
Aaron you need a cook book of recipes that are remixed seriously I love the twist you put on food.
This channel is so relaxing! Anytime i watch your videos I always feel much better afterwards, such a genuine and positive energy from you both! Thank you for sharing
The soup base out of dumpling filling is genius!
Claire is always such an enthusiastic taste tester! 😂 You guys make a great team. Don’t blame me and don’t worry about it make me smile every time you say it. Thank you for the great cooking lessons.
Thank you so much for enjoying our videos! 🥰
@@AaronandClaire of course. You’re amazing!!!
I would like to see a Q&A w/ you and Claire! You both are so amusing. Here's to getting you over a Million Subs in 2022! 🐯
how about an episode of opposites? Claire make some favorite dishes and have Aaron try/react to the dish? compilation video of Aaron going mmm, mmm!! mmmm? mmmm
Are you trying to kill me?🤣
LOL She admits that Aaron is the better cook. Isn't that why she is always willing to do the washing up? As long as no one feels they are not getting the raw end of the deal, it's all good.
I have been making the Mandu Gangjeong for 2 years. Honestly, amazing recipe which I find quick and simple to make once i already have the sauce done. Plus, it taste really good. Highly recommend!
At 1:40 is where they start making the sauce
I just made dumpling with fried chicken sauce and OMG it’s the best thing ever. I’ve never had dumplings so delicious
Love when you do dumpling recipes💛 dumplings are one of my favorite foods =D
Thanks!😍
Perfect timing !! The thumbnail looks delicious !! Thank you for your amazing content !!
Thank you for saying that!🙏
Greetings all the way from Southern California (think Hollywood, Disneyland, Los Angeles, etc) . Your videos totally remind me of when & where I grew up (Coyote Hills, Fullerton California) with many Korean neighbors and lots of Korean friends. Best neighbors you can find! Your culture = beautiful and it really comes out well in these presentations. Very genuine & highly entertaining. Super funny as well as informative.
Thank you for posting! I will keep watching.
Thanks for the great alternative ways to cook mandu as I usually fry, steam, or make mandu guk. 😊
You're right!! I always have mandu in my freezer which I buy from our local Korean supermarket.
(I always buy 4 pounds of homemade mandu from a local Korean vendor at the Korean supermarket I go to.)
Those are really great ideas. I'm gonna try it with frozen perogies. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Canada!
Finally got all the ingredients together to make these dumplings in the first recipe with the red sauce. My Walmart even just started carrying the exact same Mandu dumplings. Just finished a plate of them and I have to say, these are absolutely life changing. Nearly brought a tear to my eye, they were SO good.
Wow. Great options. No dumplings in my freezer now. Will have to get some!
I love Korean dumplings. Thank you for these creative recipes. I will save this video!
A while back I made the first recipe and my Korean boyfriend absolutely loved it!
Awesome timing, bought today a bunch of frozen dumplings
I KNEW IT!!!!!!🤣😍
The video was so good, I watched it twice in a row, by myself, and then with one of my kids, as he's a huge fan of these dumplings too. I'm betting we make all 4 recipes in the next 2 weeks
With Aaron's cooking skills and Claire's true love and emotion for food this channel is very good! 🙌🏾♥️ I appreciate the balance and the flip of usually the wife being the cook for her husband. Plus, the recipes look delectable and Claire's reactions (even when she has some critiques on how she would like it or would rather have it) makes it wholesome. Thank you 💕
the production value of this video is 10/10
Wow those dumpling dishes look amazing it's 3:13 am here in South Africa and you just made me very hungry
Sorry about that my friend!🤣
I was just wondering yesterday how I would finish off my holiday dumplings. What timing
This is Fantastic! I’m impressed with your presentation. Your recipe looks delicious and easy to follow. I’m gonna try to make this. Your a very talented creator. I make you tube cooking videos too and I love to learn from others like you. I wish you much success in 2022! I look forward to watching future videos!
I love it, Thankyou sooo much I can make my daughter her favorite food! Hello from Miami Florida GOD Blessed 🙏🙏🙏
All of these look so GOOD! I never thought to try korean dumplings in a cream sauce, but I have a pack of pork and mushroom dumplings that will probably be DELICIOUS!
Thank you @Aron and Claire for the lovely recipes and it save time to make Korean as easy as possible. Especially as college student this helps also I made your dumplings with the flour and water spring onions totally worth making. Can't wait to try this recipe since have order Korean Chili paste and Korean Chili Flakes. Thank you so much and I do recommend anyone trying this amazing recipes they are quick easy and too delicious. ☺️💕🥟
You are going to get 1 million subscribers in no time. What would you do without Claire she is such a good taster.
These are fantastic! I'm pretty sure I actually DO have frozen dumplings from Costco in my freezer!
Made the first recipe in this video!! My daughter and I LOVED them!!!
You guessed right, I have so many mini wontons left and tried your first recipe, with a few substitutions, and it's so tasty
i just ate some mandu and i’m sO MAD i didn’t see this first because that gangjeong flavor sounds so good 🤤
Yum! Happy New Year Aaron and Claire!
Happy New Year Christie!😍
I always bought bibigo dumplings from Walmart because I thought they tasted the best. I had no idea they are a company actually from Korea
Thanks for the tutorial! I tried the first recipe today, it was so good with white rice. Can’t wait to try the rest.
Excellent recipes! Claire's enthusiasm is so cute! Great video!
Yep, only subtle differences between ravioli and dumplings. Same with pierogis. Many cultures have some variant of "little doughy packets of food item". Some are boiled, some are fried. Some contain meat, some contain veg, some contain cheese. Bottom line, if you think something is tasty, cut it up into bite-sized pieces, wrap it in a dough, and cook as desired. Boom! That's the template for a dumpling.
Omg I need mushrooms. I want to make the very last recipe. That looks awesome!
That was so great!😍
Thank you. Tried similar to the first recipe. It was a hit! Can't wait to try the rest.
I made the gangjeong for dinner, OMG that was so good... My family all in loved with it 🤤🤤 . thankyou for the recipe!!
Your videos are literally some of the only videos where I can cook them because I have the ingredients for them lol
Claire is the best taste tester
The dumpling "ravioli" is a brilliant idea! Why not?
I will try the dumplings with cream sauce easy to make looks delicious
Those are my favorite dumplings. I love using them to make dumpling soup and fried dumplings. Now I can enjoy even ways to cook dumplings.
The way Claire sprinkles in occasional English warms my cold dead American heart 😂🥟😸
A European tip for the ravioli style dumplings, if you add bacon first into at cold pan and then fry it more of the bacon fat will render out and the bacon will become more crispy and you should have enough bacon fat to fry the onions and mushroom 😉
Awesome vid as always! 😋
thanks dumpling is versatile food; as wel grilled, in soup, as pasta or even in salad/sandwich...
I even forgot I have frozen dumplings in the freezer omg!! thank you thank you!! i needed this video!
I am eating the first one right now (with the Korean fried chicken sauce) and its delicious! I did add some lime juice to cut the sweetness, ground szechuan pepper, and a little more soy sauce to cut the sweetness. It's fantastic! Thank you for this recipe!
I'm single and live alone but the 4 pound costco bag of dumplings haunted me until I bought it last week and I haven't had a moment of regret. But..... it is a LOT of dumplings haha. Thank you for the ideas!
This Italian is just letting you know that in Italy (well, in Rome, at any rate) 'ravioli' IS what we call dumplings from East Asian cuisines, as well. If you look on the menu of, for example, a Chinese restaurant in Rome, it will say 'ravioli cinesi' (Chinese ravioli/dumplings). When I left Italy in 2010, I don't think there was a Korean restaurant in Rome yet, only Chinese and Japanese and MAYBE Thai, though I can't remember for sure. That may have changed, but I've not been back for quite a while, so I couldn't say.
Oh my gosh I love dumplings and that second recipe with the cream and bacon had me drooling 🤤😋 they all look amazing though, I love your channel. Thank you Aaron and Claire
Thanks for the video and the reciepes !
I tried the third with pork & kimchi mandus (i have the same brand as yours here in France) and i added a carrot and few shitake mushrooms (all chopped into small dices) and it was heaven ! Awesome reciepe for the cold days :).
Cheers from France to both of you !
WELCOME back and Happy New Year to you all !
I actually love standard frozen dumplings, one of the fastest satisfying meals a working parent could ask for, but Aaron you've helped me up my game!
Claire, I have burnt my tongue many times on delicious foods too, so worth it.
I made recipe #4 last night. It was delicious. Next time I will need way more mandu, I only had 1 beef gyoza pack so I used that. My family was digging around for more mandu at the end 🥺
I am never here for the reasons you suggest. My reasons are simpler, to watch you make delicious looking food in great focus and to watch Claire eat it and say mmmmm, Mmmmmm, MMMMMMMMMM! Lol!
I was out of town when this aired, and now that I'm back home, this was the perfect thing to come back to. I've got weekend plans for cooking to make! Thanks, Aaron!
The lonely packet of dumplings in my freezer says thank you. Guess what we’re having for dinner tonight? :)
KFC Dumplings?🤣
We need a part 2 with more recipes!!❤
Aaron has good cooking skills !!!
Masterchef Aaron 🧑🍳!
Made the fried dumplings with the sauce today and my wife liked it so much she sounded like Claire! I think she even started speaking Korean! 🤪
I’m not big into cooking chicken wings. It’s too much of a hassle. The first recipe looks amazing tho! I would love to see multiple ways of seasoning and cooking dumplings to substitute for chicken wings. Such a great idea! Never thought of that before!
Just made the Mandu Gangjeong and holy moly was that was so good! It was a hit at dinner tonight. It didn't get as sticky as Aaron's so maybe he didn't use the entire sauce? But the taste was phenomenal; sweet, salty, spicy. Truth be told, I didn't make enough
What frozen dumplings do you guys recommend? Personally I like bibigo kimchi and vegetable dumplings.
perfect i had some gyoza in the freezer but no idea what to do with them
