I'm a retired nurse, and any time I've lost a patient (I worked in ICU) I would go over and over the CPR in my mind, trying to remember if there was anything else that could have been done to save the person. I'm not saying I was haunted by the memories, but maybe this guy is. He's just an ordinary civilian, and should never have to witness a thing like that.
