    So if I get all my proper qualifications for welding at high school will this course be required or can I just jump straight into it?

      Chris Tetsuwari you still gotta go through Ait but your training would make classes a piece of cake

    Hi,I’m from Texas and would love to become a welder in the military. But is it true that they will send you to far away places like the Middle East

      Mark flores Any time you join the military you have to accept the fact that you will deploy and get sent to far away places, but overall you will find that it is an experience like no other and can be very rewarding

      Deployment was the best time of my military career. Seriously, don't sweat it. It's part of being in the Army and by the time you get there you will be ready for it. Eager for it really to get away from the garrison BS.

    Hello all pfc swift here, for all those who already have training you are able to challenge the annexes to expedite your schooling. They dont make it easy to do so but always bring it up.
    And for those looking to enlist i highly recommend this mos as most don't give certifications or train you in 2 separate fields.
    If you would like further information from my small experience in this mos hit me up.

      Jeffrey Swift Jr. Is this mos hard and or challenging? Does it get very boring and whats your average day like? And do you do more machining or more welding?

    • @Jeffrey-gl2mb
      @Jeffrey-gl2mb Před 6 lety

      Jedi Luke it's anything but boring. And some jobs are more difficult than others especially enclosed spaces. At my current duty station we machine and weld equally imo while I am primarily on the weld side unless I'm needed to run the cnc lathe. There are always work order coming in ranging from simple patch jobs to complete replacement of pipeline or structures.
      I highly recommend this mos over many others and I may be biased but I dont here from fellow soldiers of there mos giving them certifications during there training that are usable in the civilian world. Nor do most give training in 2 very in demand job fields.

      Jeffrey Swift Jr. do you know where military welders get deployed at

    • @Jeffrey-gl2mb
      @Jeffrey-gl2mb Před 6 lety

      Mark Garcia a few of my battles from ait ended up in Korea, 3 went to Germany and 1 in Kuwait. We can really be used anywhere but primarily I notice we stay state side.
