    We just ordered this for my hubs. He has MS and is a stroke survivor. He walks with a rolling walker or a cane, due to left leg weakness. My degree is in OT, and I am thrilled we are able to get this!
    Hubs and I are so hopeful it will help him continue to be mobile and hopefully even improve his mobility.

      We just had the initial onboarding appointment yesterday (11/3).
      Honestly, if I hadn't seen it myself, I might not have believed it. With just the calf muscle portion activated he could walk better than he has in over 6 yrs. With the entire sleeve activated his walking was amazing. He said it felt like going from trying to lift concrete to not even having to think about walking. I cried watching him walk with it.
      Of course we're early in the process, but so far..so great!

    Hello, so grateful for this informative interview. I am about to begin my Cionic journey and this video confirmed it is the way to go. Given it about a year old is there any chance you would update the progress of users and further development of the sleeve. So excited ❤

    Do we know if it will be covered under insurance and if not do we know what the price of this device is

    • @DoctorGretchenHawley
      @DoctorGretchenHawley  Před rokem +1

      Great question! I'm assuming it won't be covered by insurance since other electrical stimulation devices typically aren't, but there may be organizations that will offer grants to purchase products like this (like the MS Society, MSAA, MS Foundation, etc.). As for the price, at this time, I believe it's around $3k.

    I hate the way electrical stimulation feels.
    Does it fire in the muscles of it’s not needed
    Ie maybe I only need hamstring and anterior tibialis help
    I don’t think I could handle it, does it hurt?
