I finally hit that stair goal two years after TM/MS diagnosis. I can do a couple sets and then my legs get fatigued. Pretty early on I was inspired by Victoria Arlen's story. I believed if she could do it, maybe I could too. I was not paralized, but numb on complete left side and from the waist down on both sides (bowel and bladder function affected). 40+ PT sessions and home exercise that included things to work on that brain to feet connection. To think that I used to have to think out each part of every step and the balance/strength to take it and now walking pretty good with the mobility device of the day. You have encouraged me on the way. Thank you!

That's amazing! Great job staying consistent and putting the work it takes to see improvements! I'm so glad that my channel has been helpful in anyway for you along the way!

I am hoping that your exercises will help my friend who has brain cancer - and had a stroke during her most recent operation. Your exercises have changed my life (I have MS) and I'm pretty confident that they will help her :)

While these exercises and strategies are geared toward those who have MS, they can also be beneficial for those with other neurological diagnoses such as stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, and Parkinsons 🙌🏻

I've lived my life with the saying ' the product of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over , and expecting a different result .
Now I'm hearing that repeating the same movements / exercises can lead to different results !

Absolutely! I agree that is typically the case, but not when it comes to neuroplasticity!! ☺️

Thank you for this very clear description of neuroplasticity

Oh my goodness that’s exactly what I wanted to know. The neurologist ruled out MS but I fall a lot, have ataxia, vertigo, muscle weakness and nerve damage from unknown cause.

Hi, do you think some of your exercises would help with FND?
    Thank you for this video.

Hi there! While the exercises was designed for those with MS in mind, the information discussed can also be applied for those with diagnoses who have similar symptoms to those with MS such as rheumatiod arthritis, stroke, and Parkinson's.

Neurotransmission/Synapse, this is what happens when our neurons are communicating right? So if when this happens at an alarming rate, which is what causes a seizure, what is my brain trying to do on its own that I can't handle? I have Epilepsy.

Unfortunately, since my specialty is in MS and not epilepsy I am not sure of the answer to your question.

What does it means if i feel improvement immediately after the exercise at the same day for example, is this done because of good neuroplasticity and neural pathway or nothing important about this point?
I diagnosed with ms 10 years ago

Great question - Definitely check out my podcast episode (which I will link below) where I discuss how neuroplasticity works in MS! I think that it will best answer this question for you. However, generally speaking, when you feel immediate improvement you're waking up neural pathways that have just been asleep for a while and haven't been working.
