Have you ever paid as much for a funnel cake as you would a nice steak dinner? Have you ever smelled a freshly paved parking lot and thought of the 1800s? No? You're not alone. If you have, it's likely you've visited Silver Dollar City at least once. Now, why say all of that? Because this gin is supposed to harken back scent memories for James' of rain falling on hot pavement in Regent's Park. We could absolutely get that... if we had ever been to Regent's Park. Thus, our closest comparison is our somewhat local 1800's time travel theme park, Silver Dollar City. But really, we can get behind it. This gin, like its brothers and sisters, is incredibly unique and special. The beetroot on the nose is almost too much, and honestly probably is if you don't like beets. For us though, it brings an earthy garden freshness to it that thankfully doesn't carry forward too much to the taste. We do, after all love our funnel cakes so too many veggies bring us down. Snag this bottle if you see it, buddies! Cheers!

You can call us Taste Buds or the Two Guys behind the counter, it doesn't matter to us. We are two guys from Missouri doing a Craft Beer Review and a Whiskey Review (or Whisky Review depending where you are from) with a drive to always Try Something New. We won't drive you crazy with snobby tasting notes that no one else will understand, just a general idea of what the beer or food tastes like. We want YOU to join us in trying exciting new things to open our minds, and pallets, to something different. So join Chris Horn and Lyal Strickland as we foray into some suds and grains and stumble all over ourselves trying to sound smarter than they really are. Some of the things we love to try are Scotch, Bourbon, Rum, Tequila, wine, and craft beer of all kinds. We argue between Stouts and Porters, IPA and Sour, Farmhouse and Lager. I'm sure there isn't anything we won't disagree about except that we like to try new stuff.
If you have a favorite brewery or Distillery or anything else, be sure to send us a message so we can try it at Thosetastebudguys@gmail.com

This was an awful deep conversation to have for a glass of gin. But very worth it.

"Tastes smart"...... that's new to me.
