Note, all this will sound really bad if the output select is not set to ‘Line out/headphones’ (or you could use an impulse response (IR) after the main out such as a Mooer Radar, or in your DAW on the computer). Without the line out/headphones selected the speaker simulator and mic won’t work. This is a most excellent video. Thank you sooooooo much for posting!!
Yes whenever you choose small amp or combo amp its the worst sound and terrible

You gan get great sounds out of GT-8, but usually quite differently than in this vid. For crunch sounds, with my guitar pickups, the gain, treble and presence should be under 50. Otherwise it sounds artificial and wrong.
Preamp set to middle works for great clean and crunch sounds. No OD pedal needed; just the preamp, cabinet set to original and on mic, with center and postion 1.
This results as crisp and lively tone. If your pickups are hot, turn dial down upper eq.
Use compressor or advanced compressor to get more singing and longer sustain lead tone; but dial parameters as down as possible, to get rid of that artificial, too tight tone.
Thumb rule is to check all the million settings, that they are as low as possible. If you have set 99 settings right, one maxed out setting can ruin the sound completely.

We use this one too and it is amazingly complete excelent sounds and you never stop tweaking is like a drug hahaha do you know if this have a detuner? I just want to not have to tune down half tone my guitar... If has that I can't find it anywhere... thanks
It does have s bender effect associated to the expression pedal. You could set it up there but I think the overall sound quality will suffer.

sin duda las pedaleras multiefectos estan hechas para usarse en linea directa a la mix, en ampli se puede pero por el metodo de 4 cables :)

(send , retunr ) para effectos externos ! Algun pedal q te guste como distortion lo puede poner en ese loop
Hi, if it doesn't loop, why is there a dedicated button labeled 'loop?' Anyway, just got one of these cheap, and am more or less completely lost, lol.
Loop is not a looper but a loop fx. It works as send and return for external effects.
Ah, thanks. I realized that as soon as I opened the manual. DOH! Just finished programming some simple patches. One of the things I don't like about Roland/BOSS gear is how menu intensive it is, and how many buttons you have to push, or rotate, or whatever, to find out everything it can do.
