- Yes! I found a 2000 Honda S2000 with only 34 original miles on the odometer. This the lowest mileage 2000 S2000 in the world ! It is an amazing time capsule located in Cocoa beach Florida. I think it belongs in a museum. Why are the miles so low? Watch the video for the whole story.
Here is an in depth video look at the car inside and out along with a little history on the S2k Honda S2000. #Honda #HondaS2000 #HondaLove #Hondas2k
I wouldn't be surprised if Honda makes her a handsome offer for that gem of a car, and then puts it in a Honda museum.
JL B you think Honda would ?
JL B they probably already have one with lower miles on it
Crazycade19 I bet they have a few
She could probably get $50,000 or more at an auction for that.
Look up Gene Kim
Don’t rev a mint car at cold start you damn noob
Totally agree! Didnt spect that...😖
I chinged so hard... i wont drive the s2k till it sits running for 3 mins and has three bars on the coolant meter. I wouldnt have let him drop the top either.
Daniel Bettke usually it’s like 10 minutes or so even then Chris fix thermal tests says it wasn’t at ideal temp but as long as you don’t rev higher than 3k you’ll be good just wait till you’re idling 700 I’d say before you run the car anywhere especially when it’s cold outside
the only revving that is acceptable on cold start is like an extra 500rpm to get the juices going, maybe more on rotaries and high revers.
I like his videos but not really his personality, I remember how disrespectful he was to the cameraman on another episode...
My heart at minute 11:57 when he revs the car when he barely turned it on 💔
Probably ran the engine for a bit when they took it out prior to filming
Just hit VTEC for the first time
@@mpa1931 nah it's cold
@@mpa1931 Temperature gauge shows cold AF. And that motor hasn't had oil run thru it in years. Lady probably wanted to kill him.
No worries....its a Honda.
Wondering how dry the top engine internals are. The condition might not as good as regularly driven one
I imagine it's started regularly to keep the oil moving around the engine
@@LouisSubearth Starting the car only circulates the oil so much - A car needs to be driven to proficiently lube the internals. I can't imagine the hoses are in good shape or even the internals with it sitting like that. It's impressive but not for a car that she may sell for someone to drive it lol - I wouldn't buy a car that been sitting for 20 years and not driven if I want to drive it! This belongs in a museum now!
@@LouisSubearth i dont think so, how many refuelling this car has within its life with its ultra low milleage to pump statiion to maintain warm up periodically
@@mikenormandy9250 Depends on how good you storage the car aswel
You're right it's not as good as a regularly driven on. Its better.
The Ferrari 458 was the car that took over the most hp/liter record from the S2000
Actually any 1000cc sport bike would have more hp per Liter.
Bruce Illest That’s a stupid and irrelevant thing to say
D onttrip how and why is it stupid irrelevant? Also, why did you take that so personal?
Bruce Illest Well because you’re comparing a bike with a car of course so I’m sure you can agree it’s irrelevant and silly. But no I’m not super serious, I’m just saying
@@donttrip4228 Ah I see. But if you are comparing 4 stroke gasoline powered engines. The Motorcycle would fall into that category. The Yamaha YZF R1m can produce 200 N/A hp with 0.998 Liters of displacement.
Oh no they took out of the garage? Man there goes more mileage.
jason should drive it in reverse to rollback the milleage yesh?
mileage? you mean feet. christ.. that thing kept the same mile amount after it was taken out and put back in lmao.
@@DjStiv3 it's a joke lol
Lol the Driveway wasn't miles away it was like 6 feet from the garage
@@ibrahimqureshi2420 it was joke. You missed the humour.. 😂
I know a guy in Scottsdale Arizona with one that has just delivery miles. 7 miles on it and it was delivered straight to his house. Hasnt moved since.
Martin Valencia yeah right lol
@@brianenzorojas6292 don't care what you think 🤷♂️
Martin Valencia you’re right idc cause it ain’t True lol
Ask him what was the point of that lol
@E W there’s no s2k in the world with only delivery miles lol you must be gullible
Center cap logos still perfectly in line with the valve stems! Just like from the factory!
I have a 2001 with 28,000 miles. Absolutely love it. Also, I’m pretty sure it was Ferrari that beat it, not Lambo.
2003 bought it at 19k miles 7 months ago. Now at 22k miles
MSRP was $32,000 in 1999. $32,000 invested in a fund mirroring the S&P 500 would be just over $100,000 today.
I put 50K down on a 5 family multiunit in 2002 with purchase price of $440K. I never put any additional money out of my pocket and entire mortgage, upgrades, repair etc were done with the rental income. I always paid more toward principal with additional rent money and now only owe 33K on mortgage. The property was appraised at $1.2 (I wouldn't sell anyway but eager brokers looking for commission). The property will forever continue to spit out money and with market value rents nearly 2.5 times more then originally in 2002 I will probably never sell. My pension. In retrospect I bought a brand new (at the time) 2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum when all said and done was $58K,I'll be lucky if I get 30K now and she has 44K miles on it.
Anyone else notice the scratches on the front bumper @9:07 ?
ouch...man that sucks. That garage looks unsafe and tight I bet it happened there. Something maybe fell on it.
I’ve still got my Imolo Orange 15 years from new with only 38K miles and 73 years old and still love it!
She should buy 2020 TypeR keep it for another 20yrs.
Years: 2040 honda pro Jason going to video her TypeR... haha
Something about Florida and low mileage Hondas. I got a 02 RSX Type S with 72K on the odometer last year.
@11:53 that triggered the hell out of me 1 its cold 2 its only got 34 miles and 3 the engine top end is probably dry af
She needs to go ahead and get a new arm rest while she still is able to find one
Repair the original...anything replaced has to be documented and can cause lost of value
@@3v4761 Would anyone even know if you swapped out the arm rest?
@@taylorc2542 it has to be documented...anyone who knows anything about classics or sales can tell you everything counts
@@3v4761 Naw, I mean that if in 30 years this car goes to Barret-Jackson for $500,000k, is some S2000 expert gonna go over the car with a magnifying glass, pop of the arm rest, find some casting number on the plastic and say "ha, this came off a different 2001 S2000"! Point being, no one would know if she replaced it.
@@taylorc2542 I'm not sure if there's a number there....but again...if you seen barret jackson ...all changes are documented to be a NUMBERS MATCHING CAR...
revving the car while it’s cold ... 🤨
you hate to see it
That’s crazy there’s a scratch on the bumper at 9:07 😢
Look how poorly she has it stored.
YES... SAW THAT. EASY FIX
Still for a car that's sitting for 20 years its till crazy
i wouldnt show it to viewers if i am an youtuber, nor just throw the owners stuff on the ground...
Wow thanks for the video Jason. Incredible.
She really needs to put the car on axcel stands to take the weight of suspension/tyres . And change oil every year.
Could of sworn this guy had a honda emblem tat on back neck.
Royal Highness same guy but different video
the problem is this car never come back 💔
Would the rubber seals and bushings, etc have to be replaced?
Not if that garage is 65-70 degrees all year
Is in Florida, it don't look like that garage had ac, I live in Florida and in summer my garage goes up to 90°
I would totally do what she did: buy one of my favorite cars, then buy a second one in case something happens to the other.
This reminds me of my 2002 S2000. I also owned a 2006 as well. I loved the 2002's engine with the higher rpm limits and the 2006's upgraded styling. Those were the days!
@Chris Kingston Honestly I don’t remember. I wish I hadn’t.
Is this the pre-BaT auction video?
I have a red 2007 Honda S2000 with 500 miles on it. I bought it at Moss Brother Honda in Moreno valley, Calif. It's my baby
I have a 2K S2K silver with 60K miles. Originally bought it in Loma Linda and paid 5K over asking. In mint condition.
I want to buy another one.
wow, if she really bought the extra S2K on a whim then good on her...an AP2 with less than 100 miles sold for $70 K on BAT so I can only imagine what a first model year AP1 with even less would go for O.O
Watertown? Yeah... too much snow. I am glad I got out of there.
Mine has 100k and it's absolutely perfect. No oil consumption , no noises , no scratches. And i never tested the soft top also. Because it's GT with OEM hardtop. Never cared about convertible option.
Interesting. I hardly ever test my soft top because for me, top-down has always been the way to go whenever possible. Thank goodness that Honda felt the same way.
@@VirtualGuth here it"s way too much dust, way too many thieves i had no place to put the hardtop and car it's imported as RHD. And most people are looking here like you have COVID19 if you drive RHD :)
@@justanothertroll9205 That's a shame, but understood. RHD is cool though. Enjoy!
@@VirtualGuth thanks. Same for you
These cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. Keep the low mileage ones for museums and such.
yeah thats the thing about enthusiast.. not really reasonable but im sure u want this car at this present condition right?
@@adriangx2657 not for the price, no
thats why she has two
If she didn't do this, there wouldn't be any like-new s2000's left. I salute people that keep cars low mileage. I wish someone had done the same with the Acura Legend, and many others. Unfortunately many cars can't be found like this anymore. That being said, I have two 2004 S2000s... 3400 and 5100 miles on them. 😁
Very first car with push button start? I hope you mean for Honda and not in general.
FYI: The redline is actually 8,800 RPM (look at the tachometer). The quoted 9,000 RPM is when the rev limiter/fuel cutoff kicks in.
That is a pretty clean S2000. Would love it to cruise in
Some of the s2ks that are in alright condition already go for like 10000 so I can only imagine how much this can go for
I would say 50k or more
🤑🤑
I have a 2000 S2K in Berlina black. I am the 2nd owner, however, I have actually driven my car and it now has 68k original miles, which isn’t bad. Everything else is all original though. I decided I am going to be doing some mods to it though like the suspension air intake/exhaust. In fact my Tomei Expreme Ti just arrived a couple days ago... yay
Love to see them bring back the S2000
Wow. I just test drove a 2005 S2000 w/30k miles today. I think I'm going to buy it. It was amazing!!!!
Cars should be emotional and FUN! Awesome Honda S2000- maybe Honda should consider buying it for a museum?
Man , Jason, u know what ? I’m hoping that Honda is gona give us a S2020 by the middle of this year with a high potential for tunings.
Love the vid. I am UK based with a year 2000 S2K with 19k miles.. people keep saying it is a good investment?
we need a 2000-2002 honda accord euro r/cl1 review on the channel 😁
McLaren F1 in 1993 had push button start FYI. But mass produced, yes, first with push button start.
It was Ferrari that beat it not the Lambo
3v4761 yep the Ferrari 458
Didn’t Porsche’s GT3 RS also beat it? 4.0L @520hp = 130hp/L. Lamborghini didn’t beat it until the Huracan Performante came out with 630ho from 5.2L at 121hp/L.
There’s one for sale next to where I live with a little under 20k miles
grabit
for how much?
thanks for this great video, im late for work now but still watching every second of it. mind blownnn
Why would you rev the engine cold? And the car engine hasn't even been broken into
There was a “new” ap1 s2000 sold in Australia in 2016 from the Honda dealer who wouldn’t sell in until then. The funny thing is, it was listed in industry new car sales charts, VFACTS, that a solitary Honda s2000 was sold in 2016
In the year 2028, the *S2000* will more than double in price, just like the previous *NSX!* 😁
9:08 small scuff on the bumper ! Damn man handle that car with care ! Sheesh
Looks like there's also a little scrape on the left front bumper you can see it clearly when he looks at the tires
This is my favorite sports car.. So lucky, and glad I was able to see a beautiful car..
Today I saw a 1971 VW Thing with only 750 original miles. A garage find in 2015 from the original owner. Insane.
Buy a super low mileage car and you don’t know what problems are lurking all over the vehicle. Cars are meant to be driven and used to keep the fluids fresh
34 miles on a AP1 🤘🏾Nice
Absolutely incredible! "WOW!!!"
Amazing video 😅... But engine which has s2000 concretly F20C2 is the engine which produce 250hp at 9000rpm... this engine has redline at 9000rpm and revlimiter 9200 rpm that means this engine can produce more than 250 hp... Btw this engine with his brother F22 which was the second motor which came with ap2 version were based on Ra engines that means these engines have dual overhead cams with roller guides. Ladder frame main bearing reinforcement...VTEC system that was used on both intake and exhaust camshafts and FRM fiber reinforced cylinder liners.
One of the coolest cars ever !
Shame about the scrape on the bumper at 9.13
My 02 s2k is stock and mint. Over 108k miles. Mileage doesn’t matter. It’s how you take care of your car 😉
Mileage does matter lol ALOT if its a collector thing
Released in 99 not 2000
Such a beauty i wonder how much that one would go for now days, maybe more than 40k
actually here in germany they go for over 30000 euros with 20000 miles
A 6000 mile ap1 just sold for $36,000 a few weeks ago. This would probably be at least twice that.
30,000 Euro is $32,838 current exchange rate
@@dawicked2k8 yes so imagine what this would cost with 20 miles on the odometer
@@Dethred1 more like 100000 dollar i think.....
I'm glad he didn't do a Ferris Bueller's Day Off Mileage Myth or did He? 🤣
This S2 will sell for at least $40k or more. Wish this was a CR S2 with 34 miles. It’ll sell for $80-90k haha.
tigerbiterhater true true
At 40k, it is worth less than new.
Most sold at premiums back then 35k+
Will be worth more than it cost new now. Due to being the only practically brand new one in existence. Not sure if Honda Japan has one in Museum tho.
One sold at auction last year for 49K. 1400 miles. I heard a 2009 CR sold for 70+ but can't verify.
In January 2018, Meccum Auction in Kissimmee sold a 2003 with 885 miles for $71.5K. The one in the video being an original 2000 model year should fetch out ~$80K easy.
Lol.. we know what the S2000 is, we have seen them before! Thanks for the walk through of how to operate it 😂
How neat so cool and rare S2000 in 2000 never seen one they are getting hard to find
Mileage spelled wrong
Cars that aren’t driven is a sad sight to see, even tho it is cool to have a low mileage car, I hope she starts it every so often.
Notice the scraped bumper at 9:05
is anybody cringing that fact he is sitting in the driver seat? those seats are super rare being in excellent condition
That engine hasn't even been broken in!
Jason you have to get on to Honda to make a new version of the S2000 they don't have to do much do it just modernize it, was the ultimate Roadster and it needs to come back and be king again
Have you seen the new 20th anniversary accessories that Honda Japan released? it is not a new car but lots of cool upgrades/updates
@@HondaProJason yes thanks I have seen it looks lovely but unfortunately I don't think we'll get anything like that and UK or Europe they need to bring out a mass production one, maybe hybrid it, cheaper version of an NSX...👍
I want it badly But I better stand in line with all the other potential buyers. Precious S2K.
Convertible top comes down for the first time in twenty years, and we see by how high it sits that it needs the roof elastic straps replaced...
Delran New Jersey has a baby blue s2k w full blue interior at 24k miles nice as hell
Since the average cost in 2000 was 35k (adjusted markup), this would have to sell for 52k today.
Adding 20 years of registration and insurance, this could be a big loss.
52k would buy a much newer and superior low mileage Boxster S that would actually depreciate less if equally driven.
He’s sort of rude about it like not his car he starts revving it and stuff she didn’t even want him to put the top down
That engine sound ❤️😭
Why he had to rev it like that🤣
Interestingly enough, the Honda Museum in Japan doesn't have an S2000 on display. I couldn't even find any mention of it. This car would do well there. Oh by the way, that lady is cool as hell.
it's a bold assumption to say this *is* the highest mileage on the planet, it doesn't sound like he did much research on that. It's entirely possible someone's got one stowed away with 26 miles instead of 34 miles. Other people do collect cars like this.
wow this is a once in a lifetime experience caught on video, this cars condition is like they just bought it from a dealership
We got the S2K in 1999 over here in Europe, it was created / launched for Honda's 50th anniversary. Did the US only get them as of the year 2000?
They were released in 1999 as a 2000 model in the U.S.
Damn. And I thought my 05 with 16800 was low mileage. Lol
I will have this car in the UK. Always loved the 2000.
'All the original VIN tags are still on it.'
Well I hope so if it's only got 35 miles on it.
Hope she remembered to put the fuel stabilizer in it.
And keep it on a trickle charger as well!
That stabiliser only lasts 12 months. Tank would then need draining.
Honda should do something special for her...
Things had more car washes than miles driven
Thanks for sharing. It's unbelievable
MB NORTH HOUSTON HAS A 2001 S2K WITH 3,600 MILES .
Just bought a Silverstone S2000 for my CZcams Channel. I thought i had the lowest miles at 6,500 miles. Im dead😵
Dreamjdm 6k isn’t too low. Many cars here in NY and CT are under 3k that belong to older people
@ 11:51 the odometers says trip b? Shouldn’t it be on trip a if it’s original?
8:59 it’s scratched on the bumper....
I need one in my life 🚗 🚘
Jason, there is one s2000 owned by a collector in South Africa that has 27 miles (45km) on it.. Factory original condition.
In even better condition than this and ceramic coated.
Damn I need to see that
I miss my ‘01 SSM S2K probably my biggest regret selling and my fd 😭
Thats the best looking ap1 plastic window top I have ever seen. Those thing are rare.. I got 146k on mine
Awesome! I own one with 11K miles. High mileage compared to hers, but almost perfect.
It's amazing!! Is the engine looks great inside? 1st s2000 that never hit VTEC after the factory till 20 years. 😂
Wow Watertown?! I went to school in Oswego, NY
Impossible
Everyone’s ignoring the fact that she found that in watertown new york... definitely not the town you expect to find a car that’s hard to get.
