Absolutely brilliant, moving, and unique Grand Canyon hiking video. Wow.
Hard to imagine the many hours of filming and editing you put into this video, all I have to say is thanks and very well done. I was at south rim last year for my birthday about one week prior and there wasn’t any snow!

Wow!!!! You never cease to amaze me! This is an excellent video, and Johan is the luckiest man in the world to have gone rim to rim with you. The footage of the Calif. Condor was amazing. Lol I love the info of your glamping job. Great job! (except the Black Widow ugh) I will def have to watch this one several more times. Lol and when you start talking rock layers that crazy song goes through my mind. I did actually sing it to someone on the rim trail at El Tovar a couple years ago. I do think you should have turned around at Ooh Aah in that snow and wind. It was a nail biter. No doubt you are a life saver, you are an expert at that canyon. Money means nothing, it is how you use your very short time on the planet that matters. Excellent video!

Grainger, Steve and I (Wayne) had just finished hiking to the North Rim a couple of days before your hike. The Facilities were preparing to shut down for the season due to the bad weather on the horizon. We got out of there in the nick of time.

Thank you! Glad you guys got that Rim 2 Rim in. I forget if we had spikes. I think we had them, yet the snow was so powdery, that we didn't need them.

Great vid man, so informative. I've hiked from both rims several times since 1992, always in mid September. Cannot get enough of this place. Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire who did his last hike in 2012.

I always carry about three cameras. I use my iPhone, a Gopro, and a Panasonic lumix for the zooming shots. iPhone for when i need to access really quick, Gopro for just having it strapped to me when I need two hands.
