Holy shit, is this seriously how people feel about Might Delete Later??? I don’t share these opinions at all, and no mention of Sticks and Stones, Pi, Crocodile Tears? There are some songs on here that I know aren’t for everybody but no fucking way in hell is it a 2?!?!?!?! I also don’t think it’s boring at all but I can understand that, he absolutely sounded “hungry” here. The production as well was great, none were like mind blowing, but I loved Pi’s beat for sure, but many others were great or solid!
NWTS so underrated. Take Care is a classic, but NWTS is his BEST imo

I didn't realize this was a small creator but the video is really good. The fact that 4-6 of Kendrick's albums came in top 10. Section 80 being 11 and if it was right at 10 that would mean that Kendrick has one of the most consistent discogs of the last 2 or 3 decades. Even the 4 MAIN albums that he's known for at top 6 definitely makes him the Top in the game right now. Cole can say what he want about not getting a grammy but Kendrick got 17 soooooo

going by this and this alone, drake had about 7 albums in the bottom 10, Cole played the middle and all by i think 1 Kenny album was in the top 10... the exact order that I like them in.
No fr, the data actually did a pretty good job. There’s only a couple things i’d change for my own personal preferences
Your description of FHD might be the best explanation I’ve ever heard on that album. There’s just a thing about it. I was listening to No Role Modelz after 10 years and just thinking what the hell are these lyrics… honestly, it’s a terrible song but somehow that’s what makes it a great song at the same time. IDK how to explain it, he just struck a chord. Also agree with the Note to Self analysis. Unnecessarily long and obv copying Kanye’s Last Call but far less interesting. Only thing on Cole is I think The Off-Season should be much much higher. Peace ✌️

Honestly Cole world: Sideline Story is an excellent album. The more you listen to it, the better it gets lyrically and beat wise. For me it’s my favourite J.Cole album just ruined by the Drake feature on In the Morning. 4/5 for me.

I’ll never understand the love people have for TPAB. It’s full of some decent highs and a lot of lows for Kendrick IMO. As someone listening since O.D. I have S.80 and DAMN. above it easily. GKMC is also overrated. Idk, it just seems like those 2 albums were forced classics. DAMN. is the most well put together album I’ve heard in decades and the concept is perfectly placed. Not too preachy, not trying to be overly deep, but just thought provoking with instrumentation, lyrics, and artwork that compliment everything perfectly.

Good idea! I think that projects like Friday Night Lights or Overly Dedicated would probably get way underrated though. Maybe if I do a video similar to this with artists’ that are closer, I’d implement those. Thanks for the idea!

I think thats why it doesn’t get that much love. It’s contemporary but it doesn’t really do too much with those sounds. I’d rather listen to him flow on a ROTD track

There was more soul sonically on that album. I think the most underrated part about KOD though that I don't hear talked about much is that it's his deepest album in terms of the message of the album.
More of those soulful sounds to counter some of the other sounds on the album probably would've put it over the top.

I personally like 4yeo more than all the other albums, not saying I think that Kendrick is bad or anything, I mean the glazers aren’t lying. I just think the whole story going on with the albums makes it the best
Obviously Kendrick’s the goat but I’m such a fan of Cole as well and Off-Season got snubbed so hard being his best album and all. Easily in 4th after Kendrick’s 3 album run. Born Sinner and 2014 FHD were a little underrated in my opinion. Also So Far Gone is one of Drakes best projects hot take, just so much more interesting than anything he dropped after 2016.

While Kendrick is by far the rapper I most bop out of the big 3, and both thematically and stylistically he is one of my favorite artists ever, I do think people tend to overrate his catalogue, more specifically Mr. Morale, Section .80 and UU. I mean, come on, UU isn’t better than every J. Cole project, and Section .80 isn’t better than every project J.Cole project except FNL. I understand Kendrick is the internet’s chosen glaze receiver, but one should also try to be fair. At some point the constant overrating and copium of his fanbase will make him the Eminem of this era.
I like this take. I agree that pretty much everything Kenny does get rated high just for existing, but there’s no denying his consistency. UU and S80 definitely should have been a bit lower here tho
Section 80 was so hot when it dropped, and it stills holds up for me.
Most of it is fake praise. He’s critic bait, drakes career and legacy is going to age a lot better than his. Kendrick’s steam is already fading and he hasn’t even retired

GKMC and TPaB are going to be talked about for years and years, and the only ones who think otherwise are Cole and Drake stans. Drake is a certified hit maker, while also being a very prolific rapper, no one should ever take that away from him, but kendrick made two of the most important records ever.
