Tip: Your palm doesn’t even need to be perfect if you distract your audience well enough, and you can practice just the load and spread with dirty cards (don’t stick them in your mouth please)100k!

7:30 - While the corner approach is better from the perspective of hiding the trick, I think the hand-down-throat approach used by Paul Rudd looks better (i.e., looks better artistically, not magically). The problem with the corner approach is that the cards seem to teleport into existence when the hands are removed. This is fine from a magical perspective, but from a story perspective, the cards should be coming out of the throat rather than the hand. With Paul Rudd's approach, it feels more like the cards actually came from the mouth. If anything, the obviousness helps with visualizing the story.
Really, no version of this trick is going to fool anyone except children, since the intended effect is a blatant violation of the too perfect principle. This is a great trick, but it's more to add a bit of surprise and humor to a performance than to actually fool the audience. And the humor works a bit better if the cards feel like they came out of the throat/mouth rather than being teleported into the person's hand.

I got a really cool trick I do where I seem to be choking and a rose pops out into my hands. You hold your throat and hand the rose in the right place in between your hands and throat. Works every time lol
