I am trying to do the ribbon spread, would a cheap $5-7 long mouse pad work as a surface?

Would have paid more for a hard plastic cover instead of a flimsy plastic 😭
One can dream! Consider that the majority of deck of cards come with absolutely nothing other than the tuck box in terms of packaging. This was meant to mimic a sushi take out box, which serves exactly its purpose. A hard cover would significantly increase the cost making it inaccessible for the majority. 🤷🏻♂️
No other decks don’t come with anything other than the box. Most of those cost a lot less however. I do own several with hard cases though that also cost less. Those are mass produced though and I understand how they can make it so cheap. These decks are custom however, so a few more dollars for a hard shell would have been nice for something custom/bespoke etc. Plz no one take this as me cutting down this creation. More just a wishlist from someone tired of flimsy stuff that’s not built to last very long these days.
