He`s been such a sweet person, like a close friend of everybody's, see? Although he was a little controversial. He has spirituaized songs, some really romantic ones (he was not very lucky with love), too, and great party songs, in which the lyrics don`t matter much, but the rythm and his melodic voice. He`s a Brazilian love.

His nephew Ed Motta is quite talented in his own right. He does a cover of another Brazilian 70s soul legend, Ed Cassiano. Check out the live version of "Do you have other love?". He did his AOR album in both English and Portuguese, on separate albums. "Dondi" is in English, and American guitar player David T. Walker played on it. Tim Maia, quintessential 70s Brazilian soul.
