Playing a standard Waylon Jennings tune in downtown Nashville . Using my signature Lucky Dog guitar w Xotic RC boost and MXR eq pedal, slight delay . Lollar A3 bridge pickup .
Mr. Lee - I stumbled into a honkytonk a few weeks ago while visiting briefly from Chicago on the way to Clarksville. I think it was The Stage, but I can't remember. All I can say is that you blew my socks off. I told the guys I was with, "This guy has the softest and smoothest touch I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD IN MY LIFE. Your set was done about 4-5 songs after we got there but I sat there transfixed the whole time. To boot, I follow Lucky Dog on FB, and only b/c Matthew posted a clip of you today, and b/c I'd never forget your face and sound after that night, (or your guitar w/the TN emblem) did I end up "discovering" the man called Matthew Lee. Thank you for sharing your skills that night, you've got a new lifetime fan. I'm also ashamed for not realizing you were playing a Lucky Dog, lol. I was off to the side so couldn't get a clear shot of the headstock :)
I stood about 5' from Waylon at an after concert party in Flagstaff, AZ about 1982. I didn't try to speak to him. I was drunker than Cooter's aunt and he had a bunch of people competing for his attention. He died in 2002 and I'm still around but not drinking anymore.
@@MatthewAlanLeeMusictic tock isn’t for people interested in learning or appreciating those who have mastered a skill. I’m going to get ahold of you soon about playing on a couple of songs on out next record. Me and my band watching these few videos all the time. More of them would be greatly appreciated and watched over and over bud. I’ll be getting your courses this week. You’re the best. 🙏🏼🤝
That is some fantastic picking.
Improvisation and presence at the same time. What a great place to be.
Guitar on fire!

That's really very nice. If you posted daily videos I'm sure we'd watch all of them
Thanks ! I’m trying to post more on CZcams as I’m just not a fan of TikTok and all other platforms are slowly dying.
if i am planning a Nashville trip how can i get a schedule of where you’ll be playing?
Email me at matthewalanlee1976@gmail.com
And I’ll let you know
It changes from week to week
Nice picking there, but who put that Stratocaster neck on that Telecaster?
It’s a Tele neck made by the same company . Chunky Tele neck .
