How come this restoration is almost perfect compared to some of the others I've seen? I mean the quality and colorization is so good that it looks like it was filmed with a modern camera.

Just about everything from that time was shot using film. Which allows for better enhancements as long as the original film is still preserved. This one was clearly done with software but that is the reason why they're able to continuously re-release the old Star Trek movies from the 60s because they were all shot with film and it had been perfectly preserved. So anytime we gain higher resolution, any movie shot on film can be upgraded to that new quality since it's not on a magnetic tape and we just use the better technology to enhance the clean film

Best restoration i've ever seen. What program did you use to do it?
Thank you, but there is no magic software for that! I cut the video in JPG sequences with a first cleaning at 133,3% then a second pass at 100% with another method for a face recovery and finally a third pass at 200% to refine the whole, then I put back on the timeline to adjust the colors, the saturation the luminosity and the contrast, plus a re-synchronization audio. It's very long and not easy... I use up to 7 different software sometimes for the same video🙏🙏🙏🙏

the original is probably 35mm film
If you scan that one, the original, you can even have 8k,
then a bit color correction and you are done.
I understand you only had the 1920x814 copy which was bad to begin with..

The Girl Can't Help It is in Cinemascope 35mm at the base, Format 2,35:1 - 4-Track Stereo ... When I write "original size" I'm actually talking about the file I have... and on which I start my work... A lot of films from that time can be found today on DVD or Blu-ray with unfortunately sometimes digitization of average quality ! far from the resolutions of the films of that time...
