We are in Turkey’s busiest city, Istanbul. Separated by the Bosporus strait, this is the only city in the world to spread over two continents, Europe and Asia. And with over 15 million people living here, it’s a place we’ve always wanted to visit. For our first full day here in Türkiye, we want to see what we can get for only a budget of 100 US dollars for the both of us for 24hrs. We will show you what we eat and where we’re staying and also take you around the European and Asian parts of Istanbul.

I went to Istanbul for 12 days in April to celebrate my 40th birthday together with my mother. It was amazing. You guys really should visit Kadiköy on the Asian Side. In my opinion it's more a chill vibe, cheaper, food and snack galore and a big pedestrian area. Go by boat or Metro! Keep up the good work you 2! Always love your video's =)

    • @MILANOMAAN

Ahhh okay haha wrote my earlier message above before seeing the video. So you did went to the Asian side, and went to Moda area to eat the last cheese/fruit platter. But did you wonder through Kadiköy as well? Are you guys still in Istanbul??? I really do have some recommendations to visit some palace! Beylerbeyi palace and Dolmabahce palace are so worth to visit. And the neighbourhood of Bakirkoy as well!

I'm so excited because for the first time, I recognized a bunch of the places you went! The Grand Bazaar was amazing; I would have spent longer there, but couldn't buy anything because I only had my little carry-on suitcase. (I especially would like some of the beautiful, colorful lights at 19:58.) I loved seeing the cats all through Turkey and Greece and the islands, they seemed well cared-for and not aggressive like some of the dogs in Thailand.

Menengiç kahvesi and dibek kahvesi are another kinds of Turkish coffees. Way tastier in my opinion. The one you tried is maraş battered ice-cream, we also have another kinds of ice-creams with chocolate sauce on top of that. Local shops mostly prepare and sell these. You can check out "Sim Dondurma" as an example for Turkish ice-creams.

Short Info : Coffee came to Europe from Turkey. Time of Ottoman Empire.. An Austrian found a few sacks of coffee beans what belongs an Ottoman soldier. And he had visited İstanbul. He use what he found (coffee beans) to make a coffee but he misunderstood how make a coffee. Because of this while he make coffee ,he put milk inside it too. And he opened the first cafe in Europe (coffee saloon) at Austria/ Vienna.. After than, Coffee was so popular at Europe and after than America. Nowadays Austrian coffee is so popular.. But origin of coffee belongs to Ottoman Empire (Turkey) for Europe 😇🧡🧡

Just 4 years ago, 100 USD was 371 TL ☹️ Salaries haven’t gone up that much, so life has become MUCH more expensive for Turkish people - and foreigners working there and being paid in lira…

Turkey proves everyone is part Asian even both of you. Thanks to the SAMI tribe for the lady.
I am sooo happy you did a video, ZOT went there but filmed nothing except the ice cream shop.
Fun fact: the first church was built in Turkey. The word Adam means man the, word Ev'e means to return home. To return home you go inside your heart inside your one rib cage. God is in our heart. This is my take away.
I have seen on Mark Wiens I think that when you drink tea you place a cube of sugar between your teeth as you sip.
Beautiful video. Thank you! Turks say Merhaba when they greet each other. I think they are saying Merkaba with an accent and don't even know it.
My ex-boyfriend was Turkish. This is why I taught myself Turkish.

Hey guys I think it was too expensive for turkey you hardly eat anything you just drink coffee and tea and have a dessert in United States for $100 you Will have a beautiful breakfast in the morning eggs orange juice coffee and toast for $18 for lunch you will have couple burgers with cheese and French fries and a drink for $20 . And for dinner you will have chicken with vegetables soup couple beers and still have money for dessert for $62. But Turkey it’s a nice country to visit. I would love to go to Antalya in turkey.😊😊
