Top 10 Performances on Film
Vložit
- čas přidán 7. 06. 2024
- With so many different types of performances on screen, so many iconic portrayals that exist up and down the spectrum of emotion, it's impossible to actually rank them. So we're looking at them categorically, comedy next to drama, big next to small, classic next to method.
Because sometimes the best way to study a topic is to find it's boundaries.
Comedic (Steve Martin in The Jerk) - Dramatic (Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice)
Heightened (Fences) - Understated (Manchester by the Sea)
Script Focused (Elizabeth Taylor in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) - Improvisational (Brenda Blethyn in Secrets and Lies)
Single Moment (Ellen Burstyn in Requeim for a Dream) - Dynamic Change (Robert DeNiro in Raging Bull)
Classical (Laurence Olivier in Richard III) - Method (Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire)

Man, Laurence Olivier looks so much like Lord Farquaad.
Pretty sure that he Richard III inspired that character lmao
dallashood67 apparently not as according to this video Richard the third came out in 2011...
I saw Shrek when it first came out, and it took me 15 years until this random comment on a random video to notice the pun in Farquaad's name
whats the pun lol
Farquaad = fuckwad
best delivered line of all time:
"I did naht hit her, I did naht. oh hi, Mark"
nigga
and The Disaster Artist's STELLLAAAAAAAAA!!!
U AR TEARING ME APART LISA
😂😂😂😂
He hit his mark in the most polite way ever seen in film
Cate Blanchett is absolutely brilliant. Hard to pick a favorite film of hers because she so fully becomes every character she plays. From her overt gesturing and booming voice in Elizabeth: The Golden Years to her mysteriously seductive, impervious yet fragile, infinitesimally subtle portrayal of Carol, to her delusional narcissist in Blue Jasmine, the woman is one of the most gifted and sincere performers of our generation.
agreed...👏👏 She's great!!
Jennifer Sutton The Aviator
I agree she should be at least mentioned !
Looove her
Agreed. One of my top three favorite actresses of all time.
I actually burst out laughing when Leto's Joker showed up instead of Heath's
Please let it not even to get mentioned for that is hilarious
They were kinda mocking Jeto though if I'm not mistaken

"My dear boy, why don't you just try acting." OH SHIT!
EthalaRide
"Olivier was wrong"
- Daniel Day Lewis
No ne does burns like a classically schooled Enlishman (or -woman). :D
VB MUTT, I can tell you for certain that neither one of them were wrong. The only that both of them are wrong about is that they think their style is superior. Neither is superior to the other. Just different ways of getting the same stellar result.
George Daugherty IDC who is wrong or who is right, just stating what DDL said of Olivier..
George Daugherty actually DDL though his style was superior but Olivier? No
Laurence Olivier was regarded as one of the most kind hearted figures in the industry. He didn't mean to insult Hoffman in anyway, even Hoffman said so himself.
"I would never try to seduce his wife, Laurence was such a damn nice guy"
- Marlon Brando
I'm still not over Ellen Burstyn not getting the Oscar for her performance in Requiem For A Dream
Dave Macdonald You're not the only one.. Her performance was just PERFECT..
yeah, that was really clean steal
Absolutely. Also, in my humble opinion, her performance as the desperate, distraught mother in The Exorcist was stellar. The subject matter tended to overshadow it a bit but she is my favorite in that film.
For me it's Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler
Agreed. I also felt that Marlon Wayans was incredible in that movie as well, especially coming from a strictly comedy background at the time. Pretty much everyone in that movie nailed their roles.
Meryl thought she was screaming in “the choice” scene but really no sound was coming out which proves how she was actually living in the role

"Objective top tens are the patently absurd lie we've built our whole show on..."
That tickled me...
Telegram Productions Agreed! I loved the self-depreciation!

Requiem for a Dream is the best movie I'll never watch again
same goes for the book. It was amazing and perfect and it broke me inside so I'll never read it ever again.
Also Dancer in the Dark.
For me, is Amour... That movie broke me
well.... thats gotta be in the top five profoundly accurate youtube comments i've ever read. I would put The Grey Zone in the same category. Glad i saw it, but i wouldn't be able to watch it again.
That and 12 Years a Slave come a close race in that category.
I could do that entire list with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Daniel Day Lewis
Pedro Soares...underrated comment 👍
Not DDL. He's my 4th favourite actor, but he's been in very few movies, so it would be more of a technicality. You could actually fill it up with PSH's smaller roles(that big lebowski role was amazing even though it wasn't much).
awesome420ication DDL is my 4th favourite as well..
Pedro Soares DDL is my favorite actor of all time not because of the quantity of his work, but the quality, If you were to average out every actor's quality in each of theie performances I have bo doubt in my mind that DDL would be on top. Although I believe he is the best at acting, it is hard to say he is the best actor because of people like Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro and Philip Seymour Hoffman who are nearly as great and in plenty more movies. I love both of them to death, easily my 2 favorite modern actors and definitely both in my top 10
Maybe not just these two (because too many female actors must be there), but DDL in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" or PSH in (well, anythng he did) but especially "Magnolia" are both chart-toppers.
Brando performance is still raw, fresh and outstanding, ever after 60 years! This is what I call great acting. It's never gets old.
Hey there, if you like great movie performances please check my video of my favorite 100 movie female performances, it would help my channel grow, it would mean a lot to me! thank you😊 czcams.com/video/Gnq9TZ3HqYY/video.html
Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood is bar none one of the most mesmerizing acting performances I've ever seen. You can't even fathom it's the same person when you see him in real life.
An 8 hour CineFix video? Yes please.
The director's cut!

The Jerk and Sophie's Choice side by side. Only Cinefix.
And yet somehow it legit actually makes sense.
@Stephen Murphy You sir are the epitome of pretentious.you're boorish and a bit silly....UNDERSTAND?
@Stephen Murphy not
@Stephen Murphy you are so wrong, it's laughable. Don't worry they have various creams for your condition.
(sleep on your side)✌
Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose - absolutely brilliant
I would do anything she say
Better than that -- her performance is perfect! The best I've ever seen.
Thank you !
YAS
Yessssss
Surprised that D.D. Lewis got only honorable mention, but this is god damn great list, just as always. Keep it up, guys.
I thought the exact same thing, i could have bet a couple of Bitcoins that DD Lewis was going to be on the official list
yeah I thought that was easily his best performance and one of the greats
Hey there, if you like great movie performances please check my video of my favorite 100 movie female performances, it would help my channel grow, it would mean a lot to me! thank you😊 czcams.com/video/Gnq9TZ3HqYY/video.html
God Marlon Brando was sexy
Sidney Adelaar For real.
yeee, no homo
he was pure sex tbh
It's always nice to be reminded just how sexy young Brando was. just sheer animal magnetism!
That's the sexy part!
I like how all the honorable mentions are better than the actual picks..
HrTjernobyl Not all of them. He did mention Jared Leto in there...
Falconetti in The Passion of Joan of Arc remains untouchable.
@@brettczarnecki9489 Leto is a great actor though
@@amjiva Exactly!

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter is Phenomenal. One of the best performances in my opinion
Best testament to this 21 mins screen time seems like 90.
Agreed!
I was searching for this comment tbh.
Hopkins is great but also a shout out for Ted Levine. Minimal screen time but how chilling was he?
See my comment about him in Remains Of The Day
Paul Thomas Anderson has brought three of the Best Performances of all time:
DDL in There will be Blood
Tom Cruise in Magnolia
Joaquin Phoenix in The Master...
And basically all of PSH’s performances in PTA’s films..
'Richard III' is 1955 not 2011
Daniel Phillips..lol I noticed it too
Came here to say this, I was pretty sure Olivier was well dead by then.
He was citing the 2011 re-release.
Mason Lishka yeah certainly because that digital remaster bumped it three spots up the list
That's how good an actor Olivier is. It takes a tremendous talent to pull off a role like that after being dead for 22 years.
*Ellen Burstyn* performance in *Requiem for a Dream* was so good it's crazy!
Buck...same goes for Gena Rowlands in A Woman Under the Influence...can't believe she wasn't even a mention..
Buck ABSOLUTELY well deserved!!!!
Yes, and so much better than the gal who beat her for the Oscar that year, Julia Roberts and her one-note (sassy) performance in "Erin Brokovich." So basically a push-up bra beat Ellen Burstyn! What a travesty! But, realistically, the Oscar went to Roberts because Burstyn had already won Best Actress years before for "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore."
I thought she was better than Julia Roberts. Yeah.
Vachan Gena’s terrific!!
"Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Has some of the best dialogue I've ever seen and heard
Filiberto Turell yes great savage dialogue
Try Sunset Boulevard. FABULOUS!!
Nevertheless it didn't receive the Pulitzer. Theater of the Absurd is all about language which Albee wielded like a scalpel and a paint brush. Dramatic Poet.
Joaquin phoenix in Her is drastically under valued as a performance.
One of my new favorites!
Joaquin Phoenix is a vastly under valued actor. He is fantastic in pretty much very movie he's in.
It’s probably his 3rd best performance
People know him for Joker now, but Her is my favorite Phoenix film
1) The Master
2) Joker
3) Her
Great list, as usual. How about a TOP 10 MOVIES (ARGUABLY) BETTER THAN THE BOOK.
I can name one, Oldboy, I know it's based on a Manga but still
The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by Me... Wait.
That is a great idea !
That's a bloodbath waiting to happen...
NOT REALLY ! A BIG NO - AGAIN . DID NOT MAKE IT RIGHT
Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver. Also, Sigourney Weaver in Aliens and Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon.
James Coppolino To be honest Rob Deniro has a lot of material to work from.... you could list dozens of movies that he killed
Charlize Theron in 'Monster'.
That was real actor shit
Mary-Jane Watson Charlize Theron in anything
I thought it was brave of Theron to show her real face on screen like that.
@@interestedbystander196 Dumb.
@@garyglaser4998 Thank God you were there to put your stamp of approval on it. Without your endorsement of things humorous, where would the world be?
"Improvisational jazz compared to a classical concerto." Nailed it.
Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape was insane. One of the most believable performances in my book
Agree
Definitely yes
Glad you finally addressed the way you pick Top 10's. Nobody would shut up about it.
I'm so glad Ellen Burstyn's performance in Requiem for a Dream got a spot. That is my personal favourite performance in history.
Ellen Burstyn was incomparable in Requiem For a Dream. A disturbing, heartcrushing performance which will haunt you for the rest of your life.
One can never go wrong with hailing Sir Laurence Olivier and Marlon Brando as masters of their craft. ❤
Amen to that! 💜💜
CineFix's lists are bae.
Well done CineFix. Great list , i'm glad to see Steve Martin's performance in The Jerk included. Personally i would pick :
1- Peter Sellers - Dr. Strangelove
2- Daniel Day Lewis - There Will Be Blood
3- Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix - The Master
4- Al Pacino - Dog Day Afternoon
5- Humphrey Bogart - The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre
6- Viggo Mortensen - Eastern Promises
7- Marlon Brando - On The Waterfront
8- Robert De niro - Taxi Driver
9- Liv Ullmann and Bibi Anderson - Persona
10 - David Thewlis - Naked
Thank you so for Viggo! That was such an amazing role.....And so was Captan Fantastic, my God!
Deniro in Raging Bull trumps Deniro in Taxi Driver.
Vivien Leigh VS Marlon Brando BOTH in Streetcar offer a perfect example of the best in their contrasting acting styles.
I really wish Maria Falconetti had a place here instead of just a mention. I mean, she kind of showed the world for the first time that acting on film can also be an art form as opposed to theater.
Sub Roy what about Gena Rowlands in A Woman Under the Influence??
Shocked to see she wasn't even a mention :(
Of course. Her too. I am very happy with the Holly Hunter shoutout for The Piano, an absolute knockout performance that is often left out.
Not a fan of the two by two system, but just my opinion.
agreed
I like it. Juxtaposing subjects is good way to spot things that may otherwise be overlooked.
I know what the point of this compasiron is, but i don´t like it either. Just stupid
wotcanary me too
No one cares what we dont like. Life is extremely small and pointless. Try to move on.
"Philip Seymour Hoffman in basically everything." ...still doesn't make the list?
I mean, Daniel Day Lewis didn't. But they tried to go for the obscure or lost to time performances.
PSH and DDL will be remembered like Olivier is - masters of their craft.
Traver Koehler I think them saying that was a good enough endorsement
still a better compliment than actually making in the list with one performance
That's really why they didn't get picked, they try to go with performances that are arguably just as great but not quite as obvious. You could have put a several different Daniel Day-Lewis and Philip Seymour Hoffman performances in every single entry on the list but that would have been too easy.
Sophie's Choice alone can overshadow this decades best actresses.
Kyle Manicat Not J Law please
Mert Amasyalı That depends on how you see it
Absolutely! The scene where she makes her choice is one of the most horrible yet incredible things I've ever seen in a movie. And the fact that Meryl managed to learn two new languages for the role makes her even more unbelievable.
Julianne Moore is as good as Meryl
Apart from the scene that the title refers her acting seems fake and artificial
I love your list Cinefix, can you do top 10 flirting scenes and also top 10 documentaries
Diego M-A Why not just go ahead and just straight up do top 10 sex scenes? lol.. but seriously I think your idea would be interesting.
Sam guy no no just flirting, like Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers or in the movie 'Life is Beautiful' by Roberto Benigni
It's already kinda covered, type in "Top 10 sex scenes Cinefix" in to the search bar and enjoy fapping 😏😏😏
Flirting does not mean sex 😕
I think they already did top 10 sex scenes
Meryl Streep's performance in Sophies choice was the first time I realized what great acting is. I remember being 8 or 9 years old, watching those merciless long close ups of her face, feeling her terror and her pain wrenching my heart. I think I've watched that movie a million times since, but it never fails to tear me up!
It's amazing how you guys make these lists! Instead of doing an ordinary list from 10 to 1, you actually categorize them in order not to be repetitive.
MERYL ALL DAY EVERYDAY 4EVA!!!
I'm so glad Manchester by the Sea was included. That film was amazing, and the acting was brilliant. Love it.
Last time I was this early, La La Land won the Oscar.
PivotShorts *best picture oscar
Well it did win 6
This joke is fucking old already. This is the fifth time I've seen it today.
Last time I was this early, I only heard this joke once.
funny. and, original.
10:23 - I don’t think “Richard III” came out in 2011 when Olivier died in 1989.
That's the re-constructed hd version that came out in 2011.
@@8sins236
OK, that makes more sense, thank you!
Marlon brando as "Terry Malloy" on the waterfront was a masterpiece.
This was, as you admit, an impossible task. Yet you pull it off beautifully. Obviously (and as the comments show) there are literally thousands of other contenders one might choose. What I like about your approach is it stimulates us to think about them all, including your picks. Have to say you guys have the best "10 Best in Cinema" features for the the very reason that you clearly have given encyclopedic thought to your choices. And that goads us to think that way about cinema as a whole. And how can that be a bad thing?
I love that my phone notifies me when CineFix posts a top 10.
"Moon Pie... what a time to be alive".
You're damn right Casey Affleck in Manchester by Sea is worthy. No Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote though.
BenG kind of. They mentioned PSH in everything he was in.
YES to Bette Davis in All About Eve. And Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice deserves to be higher
I don’t really think this was a LIST list, more, like he said, a different way for them to get people interested into different films if you get me
Or Bette Davis in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? She did amazing.
Shirley Booth in Comeback little Sheba, just pure natural emotions not a false step, like you were there with the Delaney's witinessing there everyday sameness, great character study.
I've seen thousands of films, including the classics, yet no performance will ever seem to strike and amaze me as two, which are Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice, and the astonishing Marion Cotillard in La Vie En Rose. I truly believe those two are landmarks in cinema history when it comes to colossal performances.
The scene where Randi and Lee finally bump into eachother and talk in Manchester by the Sea is immense. Michelle Williams couldn’t have made me feel like I knew her and her pain any better than she did. It felt like I was part of their lives.
Thanks for the nod for Jessica Chastain in Zero Dark Thirty. A vastly underrated masterpiece of cinematic acting.
Renée Jeanne Falconetti in The Passion of Joan of Arc is one of the most exquisitely heartbreaking profoundly beautiful, thought-provoking performances ever committed to film and all without a single sound.
You got the Brando and DeNiro picks right. I was 17 years old when I saw Streetcar and to this day, I've never seen anyone come close to that performance. DeNiro is awesome when he's not doing stupid comedies. Too many great performances and too many great actors. Kudos to putting Olivier and Brando as #1.
I honestly believe Casey Affleck in Manchester by the Sea is one of the best performances ever, despite his short comings.
Eoin Marx What shortcomings?
all the sexual assault allegations
Eoin Marx His performance in The assassination of Jessie James was just as good, if not better!
Harvey H definitely he's such an incredible actor. Gone Baby Gone is another fantastic film and performance
Yes. He was great. It's early but great.
"Top 10 quiet but powerfull acting of all times" with Rooney Mara in Carol and Ruth Negga in Loving. I love those performances.
Secrets & Lies is amazing, so well done. I can barely handle it, I love it =)
Thank you, CineFix, for the speech about what people think method acting is and what it's actually about; James Dean in "Rebel Without A Cause", Al Pacino in "The Godfather", Marlon Brando in "A Streetcar Named Desire", and Jack Nicholson in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" have way more in common with Lee Strasberg's theories around method acting than what it has become.
Some nitpick though; Dustin Hoffman didn't stay up for so many nights because he prepared for "Marathon Man", but because he had just gotten a divorce and started drinking away his sorrow for several nights. Olivier's comment was more like a humorous comment about the fact that Hoffman should maybe stick to his acting career rather than becoming an alcoholic
Waiting for a Top 10 Random Cameos by People playing Themselves
this isnt watch mojo
it isn't? oh darn
Khrispy Cream such a great comment 😂
Ooh, I like this! Got any good ones? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Dustin Hoffman in The Holiday for some reason
Like Al Pacino in the God awful 'Jack and Jill'.
Mary Tyler Moore in ordinary people just rips your heart out
I just found your channel and I love it! As someone who's studying to be an actress, I'm so glad that you defined the difference between actual method acting and what most people think it is. I also love that you mentioned Adler and Stanislavski! Your videos are really interesting and some of them are actually helping me learn new things! Thanks for doing this!
I couldn't agree more with your top pick Marlon Brando and his performance in Streetcare named desire. No one can top him in my book.
Nice to finally see requiem get some love!
F. Murray Abraham in Amadeus
As an actor myself, I can't agree more about your definitions on "method acting". All method acting truly is is using a method of acting, and you bringing up Stanislavsky and Adler proves to me that you all know your stuff (not that I ever doubted it)
I still say that one of the best acting performances I have seen was Audrey Hepburn as Susy Hendrix in Wait Until Dark. While Richard Crenna and Alan Arkin are likewise brilliant, Hepburn's portrayal of a blind woman being terrorised by drug smugglers is one of the best I have seen.
Meryl Streep’s performance in “Sophie’s Choice” was the announcement of the newest arrival of the greatest actress of all time. Jaw dropping.
Superb performance. Too bad nothing past that film really interest me - of Streep's work. The Hours, but, that's not her film.
*3 Greatest Performances Of All Time*
(in my opinion)
1) Daniel Day-Lewis as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood
2) Robert De Niro as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull
3) Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather
In addition, I thought this was probably Cinefix's best top 10. Terrific work. Well done.
Harrison Clark wow, is close to my own picks except I got deniro first, then Brando.
osvie01 its very subjective
Harrison Clark WOW very original list
mateo reggi i'm not trying to be original - just honest
Harrison Clark fair point. Most of my faves are cliches but theyre cliches for a reason
The 4th wall break of ur channel is the most authentic thing on this platform
To me, the most amazing subtle performance I've ever seen on film was Anthony Hopkins in "Remains Of The Day". Not for everyone as Sir Anthony thrilled me with his subtext while my ex fell asleep. A character who is deeply, madly in love with his co-worker when no lines nor actions ever say that. Masterful!
Joaquin Phoenix in The Master!
Heath Ledger's joker without a doubt.
its good but nowhere near the best
(Trying to prevent myself from making Watchmojo joke)
MitchCyanFilms...2008 will always be remembered for Heath Ledger's Iconic and Powerful potrayal of Joker in TDK but an equally powerful yet sadly underrated performance by Tom Hardy in Bronson will be shunned in the history books :(
No.
nice to see some love for Bronson! great performance and direction made for an overall great movie!
Firstly, glad Olivier and his style was recognised. Secondly, spot on with picking Richard III. Olivier’s best display of his stage acting abilities whereby he uses his whole body to convey the character, which is less common in film due to the camera cutting off a lot of the body. It’s also incredible how he was able to take this character as a cartoon villain-esque character and make him so compelling.
"overly-publicized and underly-hobbied" best line in CineFix history.
I know she was shown in the opening but Falconetti as Joan of Arc should have been on this list.
See it or Flick it....what about Gena Rowlands in A Woman Under the Influence??
Shocked to see she wasn't even a mention :(
Y’all can name everyone you want. Nothing beats Meryl Streep on Sophie’s choice. Nothing.
This film killed me
Amazing list as always.
And that explanation of how your lists work is just absolute love.
Making youtube lists to counter the concept of youtube lists. Pure genius and very much keeping up with the ethos of a true cinephile.
I only discovered CineFix recently, but have done a bit of catching up. Quite a bit. I really enjoy your shows, however, this is my favorite so far. Surely, this was prepared by serious students of film - and presented by professionals in the language and speech departments! It was so interesting and enjoyable. My favorite thing about your presentations is that they teach me something or make me thing in a way I had not previously thought. Thank you for sharing what is certainly hard work tempered by love of subject.
I've always believed Maximilian Schell In Judgement at Nuremberg was one of the finest I've still ever seen.
Yep, absolutely stole the movie from Spencer Tracy
You left out Gregory Peck from To Kill a Miockingbird(1962)!
The Awesome Lego Lover also Henry Fonda in Twelve Angry Men
Here's my top 10 favorite performances:
10. Crispin Glover - River's Edge (1986)
9. Michael Gambon - The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover (1989)
8. Bette Davis - What Ever Happened To Baby Jane (1962)
7. Simon Pegg - The World's End (2013)
6. Owen Wilson - Bottle Rocket (1996)
5. Greta Gerwig - Frances Ha (2012)
4. Aaron Eckhart - In The Company of Men (1997)
3. Charles Grodin - The Heartbreak Kid (1972)
2. Robert De Niro - The King of Comedy (1983)
1. Samuel L. Jackson - Unbreakable (2000)
This is the best conversation starter I've seen in years! Everyone here is just STAGGERING in what they've done.
Brie Larson in Room and Short Term 12 is one of the finest performances in cinematic History
siddharth nagar I sorely disagree...Larson plays parts well enough but no better than any other actress could.
She did not deserve an Oscar.
Sure, it was a good performance.
One that could have been played by any other decent actress in Hollywood today...
There Will Be Blood!!
Watched it, and came away wondering why anyone bothered to make it. One of the least impressive films I've seen.
Requiem for a dream will forever be my favorite film. It's so incredibly raw and heartbreaking, but so visually unique at the same time. And the soundtrack is so chilling. If you're reading this and you haven't seen it, PLEASE do!!!
I love how honest you guys are about your videos, like at 4:15. That's why you have the best top 10 lists out there.
I love the part where you get salty about Top 10 list purists. You guys are the best.
Two of my favorites that weren't mentioned (or maybe I missed): John Hurt in the Elephant Man and Peter O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia.
I'm happy you listed Secrets & Lies, so many people don't even know that classic great film.
I'm sure pretty much everyone else will disagree with me, but one of my favorite performances in as far as how genuine it felt was Jackie Earle Haley's performance in Breaking Away.
List idea: Top 10 Psychedelic Films
Quail Tail Pictures plsss
Hell yes! Easy Rider abd Performance come to mind
I don't get what you guys are doing with the whole two picks thing.
I get the idea, but I agree that some of the categories chosen seem kind of arbitrary and forced, selected only to showcase particular performances. Comedy vs. drama or improv vs. scripted do unquestionably demand very different things and are therefore worth contrasting. But I'm not sold on the same thing applying to, for example, the scope of a character study.
Sophie Choice makes you wonder how Meryl Steep got that Accent down pat. How??? She is a acting miracle. ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️
I can't imagine how actors did great work before the method. I would have to use that technique. Btw: i think there's only 2 kinds of acting: like Steve Martin in the Jerk (acting like he felt emotions) and actors really feeling emotions (aka all Meryl Streep films)
You should do top 10 movie soundtracks (or best music supervision)!!
"Otherwise this video would've been 8 hours long!"
... yes please?
I just love Cinefix, thanks so much!
This is why your lists are the best. Shake things up indeed.
