    He's 110% right about the Ben Simmons rule. Player power is at an all time high. They have it the best they will probably ever have it. Paul George already screwed it up when he signed a max extension then demanded a trade. Now we have Simmons who demands a trade and STILL doesn't play!

    I genuinely agree with this take. I still think players need to be contractually protected and get paid during injury, but Simmons is seemingly exploiting the situation. However, it’s also buyer beware for the Nets 🤷‍♂️. If Simmons wants 20 mill without playing, then he’s gotta take the major ridicule that comes with it and the optics he’s creating (whether he realizes how disingenuous he comes across or not)

      The grievance against the Sixers is likely to be ruled in Philly's favor, from what has been reported on that saga, Simmons' camp did not give updates to the Sixers about the treatment plan to get Simmons back on the court.

    When I think of back injuries in the playoffs, Scottie Pippen vs the Jazz in the 96’ Finals comes to mind… dragging himself up and down the floor like there was a knife sticking out of his back… contributing and giving to his team…. That’s the heart that Ben Simmons isn’t showing.

    Stephen A is right, CBA needs to be fixed, and this time, it's the owners who are crying foul and rightfully so. We saw Simmons, Zion, and John Wall all put up 0 min of play and Kyrie almost 0 min at home, I cannot remember another season anywhere remotely like this. Something's gotta change.

    I agree 💯 percent with SAS on this one. Ben Simmons is an insult to every player who have agreed to a paycut just to keep their team together, who have spent countless hours practicing to improve their skills, and those who have played through injuries and gave their all each and every game.
    Ben, just take your money and go. You can miss all the games and shots you like, but we will certainly not miss you.

      But how did he get a back injury if he hasn't played one second all season? He had to pass a physical for the trade to go through. I work with guys pulling the same thing as Simmons, they want to get paid but they don't bother showing up for work. Whether a guy is making millions of dollars a year or thousands, it's the same mentality.

      Just seeing the pain that Jay Williams was in seeing an athlete in PEAK condition actively REFUSE to play because his feelings were hurt was enough to make me angry. Jay had his career taken from him before it really even began. He couldn’t play at all even when he wanted to. Simmons can play but chooses not to because of his ego. Horrible to see.

    Stephen A. is truly great at what he does...being a highly skilled & amazingly verbose provocateur, in the tradition of Howard Cosell...I'd be lying if I said this anti-Simmons vitriol wasn't delicious ear candy..JamesHarden on the decline is still a Hall of Fame playmaker & a joy (mostly) to watch.     Simmons coaches commented that when he was playing in Australia he was “selfish” “impossible to coach” “ little to no work ethic” “puts himself before anyone else” “relies on natural physical skills rather then earning them” looks like all of these comments carried over to the nba
