    This lace originated through Paratroopers. The lace puts your heel in the back of the boot which allowed paratroopers who landed inside enemy lines to immediately start running to cover when they landed. It’s very secure and if you ever go into a Air Force with paratroopers their boots will most likely be like this lol

    • @ProfShoelace

    Should start over the top on the bottom- The benefit of a ladder lace is if you break your ankle on a jump or you get a lower leg injury or any other injury requiring wound discovery/treatment and removal of clothes it is easier and quicker for surgical scissors to cut up one side and remove boot. It really isn't done all that much except by salty dog wannabes. Certainly isn't done on teams.

    • @ProfShoelace
      @ProfShoelace  Před 2 lety

      I disagree with the “start over the top on the bottom”. This would mean the laces would feed *into* the bottom eyelets, then run vertically on the *inside* and the next row then couldn't tuck under those inner verticals.
