An excellent technique for roller skates, works well for wide feet & helps stop toe cramps while skating. Thank you

I really like how you go step by step. Most others rush through and it's hard to pause in just the right spot. I am of a older generation but I am young at heart and am around kids a lot so I have started lacing my shoes in different ways with different colors and sizes of shoe strings and the kids and most adults love it ..Have even been stopped on the street by kids asking how to lace them that way ..and I give them your CZcams channel !!! Thanks for making it easy for a old lady 😂❤

U can't do this on paratrooper jump boots using Paracord bc the holes aren't large enough. Any suggestions ?

Yes, you should lace them Paratrooper/Ladder style.
In all serious I suspect they used this altered method either for aethstetics since regular shoes don't have to worry about hard laces boots usually use which wouldn't fit through a grommet twice, or because they saw a diagram or heard a description and misunderstood how it's done, as the "Real" Paratrooper/Ladder Lacing technique doesn't reuse any of the grommets or holes twice.
The way you do a Paratrooper lace is run the lace out from both bottom grommets so it's in the "under" position and both laces are coming out of and not into the holes, then lace each up into the hole directly above it. Then here's where they altered it, you never reuse a grommet, you Instead pull it tight and lace directly across and under the "rung" of the ladder you just made when you laced directly up at the start, then lace up into the grommet above it. And that's all there is to it, you should never have to lace across into another grommet except when starting out from both bottom ones. Only lace up in the grommets from the outside, and across threaded under the lace "rung" you just made, then directly up into the outside of the grommet directly above it, across and under the rung you just made, rinse, repeat.
If at any point after you began and laced out from both bottom grommets you lace diagonally or you lace out from the inside of a grommet, you've done it wrong, the ONLY time your lace travels vertically is when you've threaded directly across and under the lace rung you just made on the opposite side, then up into the grommet directly above it. You're making vertical bars on the outside grommet to grommet, and horizontal bars coming out from a grommet going across and under each vertical bar you just made previously, then up into the above grommet, across under the opposite vertical bar, up into the above grommet, and so on.
You'll need a long enough lace to use this style as you're somewhat but not really lacing twice per grommet. You'll also want to tighten the lace as you go along otherwise it's a pain since you have to go rung by rung starting all the way at the beginning first one, and you've pull across hard, pin it with your fingers, then pull hard on the rung above it to tighten uo the slack you just made, over and over till you're at the top and you've tightened any slack out from your entire lace; and pulling boot lace/thin para-cord real hard over and over to tighten it really starts to hurt after a while.
And all this is because you can't just "pull the ends of the lace hard and it's all tightened up". All the lace on lace creates a lot of friction, which is good and why this lacing technique is used, it gives more support than standard lacing; it'll also keep your laces tight longer, and slow any slack/loosening as well since for any to occur its gotta fight and pull against that friction. But that all still applies when it DOES eventually get a little slack and you've gotta tighten it all the way back up grommet by grommet.

Yeah, do it the right way. The laces go through the vertical loop, not back through the same eyelet hole.
