    We go into a bit more depth on our experiences with the PW-X2 motor from Yamaha. Its an 80 Nm 250w 25kph motor that has a huge market share on The Giant and Haibike brands at the moment.
    We highly recommend trying it.

    Yamaha has the BEST Power to Km Ratio! The Motor ist very efficient, much! better than Bosch, and the Brose is DOUBLE the Consumption!! Has been tested.
    I love Yamaha.

    I'm not sure about the blue on the chain and seat stay, looks a bit odd. Besides that it looks like a great bike

    Hi mate,great video. Question for you .Would you buy a demo ebike and what do I need to know if I buy one .Its a haibike ,same one in your video .I'm 54 and new to all this stuff.

      Its a great bike, a demo bike should have a warranty just like any other bike out of a shop. With this bike just make sure its got new brake pads, software is up to date and suspension has been serviced if it has been ridden. Also make sure spoke tensions are correct. If its got 1500km on it get them to replace the chain.

    Ok, looks and sounds great, but how do you install one of these? Are there specific bikes it fits on? What kind of batteries and controllers do you need? Need more info in these videos, like lots more.
    And the specs sound very weak.

    So is that a "Test," bike that Haibike gives to reviewers, for positive marketing? Not a scratch-on-it. If that's the case then your review is unworthy. I been operating the PW-X2, for over a year, on a hardtail. Impressive but it has it's weaknesses and flaws. For most of 2022, it's been in the basement, due to Yamaha, failing on the warranty & dealing with customer service giving me a stroke. Putting the miniscule pet-peeves aside of the competition, the Shimano EP-8, has been through two Winter storms, 60 percent submerged in a creek, convenient recharge time, and it still gets me to work & back home. One day, one week, three months, is just not enough for a reliable review. And for some unknown reason, no one posts a video review of the long-term problems of these e-motors.

      @alexbiketester  Před 2 lety

      I have motors with 3000 km on them from Shimano and also a motor with 9000 km. Specialized I have 3000 km on one of the problem motors that never broke, I also have 1000's of km on Bosch etc.
      When companies send test bikes, often im in the first wave, where I get sent a brand new bike, then it goes back to the company they repair it, then send it out again. Repairs means more like servicing etc. I am limited to how many bikes I can actually ride at any one time, ive noticed if I have four on rotation and ride four times a week for a few months then I get to find most issues. However its not easy to test bikes like this.... not enough time.
      I have direct contact wit many of the top engineering teams at companies and everyone is pretty transparent, and also busy. So if I have a query it can be answered.
      in general the bike shop ( a hood one) is your first port of call. if they are useless then you need to speak to the distributor, if they are also annoying then sometimes direct action can help. I know people at yamaha, but it doesnt mean they can fix it just like that. They all have systems in place to analysis and sort problems. they all differ. So far i would say all the motor companies have been good.
      There is no perfect service, but now over all I would say its clear some companies are better than others. however before one goes pointing it out on videos I have to have enough data points and examples to back up what im saying. Anyway good luck. I have longterm reviews coming ahead at some point.

      Actually I hope they have upgraded the rear hub as that's its weakest point, mine blew out 30 k from home, long walk through the lovely forests of NZ 😂
