Had one of these do a low pass at an airshow when I was about 8. Whistled past, followed moments later by a roar that knocked me over. What a beast!
I'm to young to have seen these beasts flying but I bet!

Thank you. Sadly none of the jets you will see in this series of epic videos are air worthy, financial, fatigue and CAA restrictions all effect the collection of 30 potentially air worthy machines! But regardless its bloomin epic seeing them run, no where else in the world like it!

Is that high up stand you were on for the run normally open to the public?
I was on the mound not the cherry picker. The grass mound is open for public access however you will get better shots side on.

Fortunately Lightning T5 flies in South Africa 👍but maintenance have a cost😨
Since the lighting crashed due to lack of MX work, they have ceased flying I think.
