  • Today, 23rd May 2024, sees the release of my latest novel, HILL 112 - A novel of D-Day and Normandy. So in this video I talk a bit about the novel and what I hope it does.
More widely we think about D-Day, 6th June 1944 and the Normandy landings in terms of what they meant in the Second World War and what they have come to symbolise in popular memory.
So hopefully there's something of interest even for those not so keen on fiction.

The greatest generation passing into legend, Im glad we have videos of them sharing their stories but it will be a sad day when the last one passes.

Was the siege of Carthage and beach head landings realistic as portrayed in Rome Total War 2 ?

Although we have some superb British films on the Second World War. They are rather dated and had a purpose. Should there be one about how the brits went from Egypt to Austria. You only hear about American exploits. Possibly similar to band of brothers due to the length of topic. For an industry so set in producing sequels they seemed to have missed one here.
