I remember this online concert very well. We were all sitting in our holes in Isolation. But we were bound together through the music of Aurora and her presence. That was beautiful and highly appreciated....
She did a LOT of cool stuff during the pandemic come to think of it...
This Bergen show, the Live from Somewhere Else Festival, the Exist for Love Sessions...where she played host and let both her humanity and dry humor shine! And of course...the 5 livestreams she did at her bedroom piano to coincide with her Spotify playlists. Honestly, the pandemic was a great time to be an Aurora fan. As a massive introvert, I feel like she kinda thrived under those conditions. She also did a ton of random livestreams, zoom interviews, and podcasts. One of my favorite was the roughly 45 minute podcast of just her and Sondre Lerche hanging out and talking as only old friends can do. During the same time, The Mixtape Memoirs podcast and the Lifekeys Talks interview are also among the best long interviews she's ever done.
I look back on 2020/2021 with a strange sense of fondness and nostalgia...and a lot of that is thanks to Aurora and the little communal online world she created for us cooped up introverts around the world. :)

Soulless Creatures and Animal Soul are two of my favorite Aurora songs. Soulless Creatures is one of the songs that most reminds me of Bjork. Especially the line "listening to the deep magnetic sound". Even more so with an orchestra. It doesn't matter how many times I hear Aurora's earth chants. I always get goosebumps.
And the last chord reminds me of the beginning or ending of one of the songs from Selmasongs, if you know the movie/soundtrack.
That's fine, I still can't find my favorite song by Aurora.
They are all breathtaking
Again she gives all of herself in a performance. Total emotional commitment, so we get the benefit. Amazing woman.

This concert for me was the most emotional I’ve ever seen Aurora,her performance of The River where she completely changed the tempo of the song to fit this moment in time when so many of us were locked away, not being able to mix with each other is why for me she’s more than special,at the end of the song you can visibly see Aurora with tears in her eyes and trust me my river was flowing. In all the 7 years of following Aurora this one performance of The River sums up for me why she’s the best live performer I’ve ever seen,please everyone go watch that performance trust me your tears will flow like a river.❤️
thank you so much for listening to this song. this and her livestream (you need to watch it, it's called 'music for the fellow witches out there'. 26 minutes) are the only live renditions. this song should be played at the cop28 every 4 hours.
Easily my favorite song from this concert. Not only because of how great the performance is, but also because it's such a rare live performance. The orchestra is a perfect fit for this song. I love those belts near the end. She doesn't do it often, so when she does, it really stands out. You're like, this little girl has some power too! 💪😍🤟

This is one of those songs that you don't know what to think of it when you hear it because it's beautiful but it doesn't feel like it follows any structure. It's almost stream-of-consciousness. But this performance of it - and this entire orchestral concert including her speaking parts - has been my go-to during moments of extreme anxiety. the warm strings and her soothing voice just wrap you in comfort!
I seem to recall someone asking Aurora if should ever entertain the idea of doing a musical. She seemed interested in the idea. I think she should do one, whether a musical written by someone else, or a musical of her own making. This song is much like a musical number.
Can you please end Aurora Tuesdays saying "See you next Tuesday"! You can't miss the opportunity to be tongue in cheek

Wow. I absolutely love this performance. And yes, it is on album but it sounds a little different. Both are beautiful but I prefer live version (live version is also very rare as she does not do this song live for some reason ;) ). The cover for Teardrop is also amazing (original is already great, but her cover for me is even better). For sure waiting for it :).
Ps. Soulless creatures is written from the perspective of Mother Nature, with this assumption it is much easier to interpret :).
I really love your reactions to Aurora and really appreciated that you watched the Massive Attack version before Aurora's outstanding interpretation, I love it so much! I just saw your reaction to that and then this one. She is such an exquisite being...her soul comes through her movements and voice and always gives me goosebumps. I must now check out this concert in it's entirety! My favourite performance so far of hers is at Nidarosdomen especially through the eyes of a child, gave me chills, goosebumps and made me cry. There is no one that compares to Aurora!

For fans of "Artemis", there's a gem of an audience recording with an orchestra (killer violinist) in "Aurora - Live At Stavanger Concert Hall".

It was truly magical. The first violinist is Emily Davis and she made everyone float away. And yes u can see Fredrik giving her a nod and a smile after that solo. It said more then words 🥰

Hi ashlena 😀, I like to see your reactions. I love different versions of the same Aurora song, each one is different . It never ceases to amaze me. She knows exactly what she wants to do regarding the circumstances and atmosphere of a specific performance. She literally plays with the strings of our hearts and is perfect at it. I just wish that as many people as possible could hear not only her beautiful voice, but especially her lyrics... In my country, it should be compulsory to teach young people.

Great reaction Ash! I like this performance too. Regarding the orchestra - it is Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (BFO), one of two national philharmonic orchestras of Norway. It can track it's roots back to year 1765 which makes it one of the oldest in the world.

Thanks for this trip down memory lane❤. Such a fascinating song. I remember this concert was performed during the pandemic, without a live audience. Aurora wanted to work with the orchestra, so a fairly modest fee was agreed upon for her (she's very uninterested in money anyway). Someone in the orchestra's administration messed with the broadcast date announcement, and her manager threatened to cancel. They asked what they could do to repair the problem. He burst out angrily: It would take $100,000. To his surprise, the money was immediately transferred 😅

Heads up, The Massive Attack video you just put up has been copywritten by the Australian -somethin' somethin'- which means the original version is what got you stricken, not Aurora's version.
Nope the original was fine they just said I couldn’t monetize it. It was the aurora version that was blocked unfortunately

It's not Auroras folks that blocks. It is probably copyright owned by the Australian radiostation were it was performed
