Britney Murphy's performance was so underrated!! That last scene where shes allowing them to stay overnight and shes walking up the stairs before she commits suicide was *INTENSE* R.I.P

Brittany Murphy's performance is just heartbreaking. So much talent in one movie
everything about Britany Murphy is heartbreaking. How she literally tortured and killed herself to get cast as"the pretty girl" after this role and the other one she did with alicia silverstone? or one of the Nickelodeon has-beens of the early 00's no one remembers. Really sad Britany killed herself to "compete" for roles with them. They literally have NO relevance anymore and she based her whole self worth on out doing them. Truly a sad f#$%ked up situation that Hollyweird totally fostered and engineered
Winona did an amazing job, not only as an actress but also as a producer. Angelina, Brittany and Whoopi were equally amazing. One of my favorite movies.

Unpopular opinion: Brittany Murphay’s performance was the best in the entire movie and I actually think if the movie focus was on her it would’ve been something else because she was going through the most and I’m sad that they didn’t explore that. RIP💔

true, but since the movie is based on a real memoir it would have been tricky to have a movie all about Daisy
I think they didn’t explore this because the film was about Susanna and the internal pain she was going through. Looking through Susanna’s eyes she, due to her illness, would have found the true horror of Daisy’s life too difficult to process. That’s why her and the film chooses to skim the surface. Everything is implied and in that, where your mind has to reach for what happened to her is maybe worse than the film visually portraying it. IMO.

Winona Ryder is the most beautiful actress, inside and out. She really has something special about her, the way she speaks, the way she acts. Everyone did a great job with this movie, it's one of my favorite movies of all time (it was released the year I was born ^^). I will always love it!

I wonder why did Lisa hated Daisy so much what was it about Daisy that Lisa hated? If you see how Lisa is looking at Daisy.
I think there are a few reasons. 1. is that Daisy was one of the few that stood up to Lisa and didn't fall for her charm unlike the other patients. You never see any other girl except Susanna stand up to Lisa and then you see Lisa then turn on Susanna too. 2. Daisy was living a lie and Lisa was about honesty and truth. She didn't hide her illness where Daisy did. 3. Daisy was handed everything, gets her own room and as sick as it is, 'love' from her parents while Lisa was abandoned by her family. It makes her hate Daisy even more that she is living on the outside and pretending to be normal when her life was no better than before. People liked Lisa superficially, but No one cared for Lisa or had left her, and in the end she was alone.
In the book it was very different, in the book none of them were there when Daisy killed herself, and Lisa was the only one who truly understood why she did it. The film does it in such a different way but then the book isn’t a coherent story it’s the diary of a broken girl so I can see why they changed parts.
