Toys back then weren't just a rushed cash grab like toys today. You really bonded with your toys back then. Now, it's just on to the next trendy thing.
so many things have to be sourced from small artists these days...not the worst, but for kids that's sad. Lego is a company that's always kinda kept spirit imo, but even they have flexed on certain franchises/fandoms.

This one is my fav Polly pocket ever. I still have my original that I bought in 96’ at 6 yrs old with $9 my parents gave me. I’m missing the doll and the horse and the top. She’s a classic 🤩🔮💖💅🏼
So many memories unlocked! I'm really grateful for whoever allowed this piece to be in my childhood. My dream home? Something like this, the jeweled forest compact, and a little garden cottage w room for a few animals and plants.

I got this set not long ago, though without the stopper. So hard to find it with that piece! But this is such a gorgeous set! Pictures and videos really don’t do it justice. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was when I got it. 💕
Edited to add: I got two of the Polly dolls. One was missing her mouth and had some paint chipping. I managed to open her and replace her battery without a problem. The other doll was in great condition and when I tried to open her and replace her battery, I ended up breaking her arm. 😭 I gave up trying to replace her battery at that point.
And I’ve never watched Steven Universe, but this set reminds me of Mombi’s palace in Return to Oz 💕

my gran bought me this, along with a bunch of barbies from a carboot sale that I look back on so fondly. I just think toys made, even before I was born, were just so beautifully crafted with a lot of love of design.

I also had this set when I was 7. My parents got it for me from Italy. And I remember putting Princess Polly on the ice throne and closing it, so I could see her from the outside. Then pushing from above the throne I could light her up, it was pure magic, especially when it was darker. You should be able to push from above the frozen throne, maybe it will work!

The effect on the platform is called "Aurora borealis" (AB) and holographic. The pattern is similar to one called "gold spangles" in Crafter's Companion foils. Can be made using foiled stickers.

I had this one when I was a kid and it was my FAVORITE!!!!!! The other perfumes too, and especially the blue bubbles one. Btw you’re supposed to just wear the bottle topper as a necklace 😂 not the whole thing. I used to wear mine around lol.

I think I just bought something similar to this one..It doesn t have the cap tho..It should arrive monday..I hope to be from this collection cause it looks so good..later edit: it also missed the dolls and accesories but in Romania it's pretty hard to find someone to sell this kind of toys so I don t really mind to collect just the cases untill I find better ones

You might be able to apply some oil to it but just a very small amount.
