This song is a letter to his father. Joost lost both his parents when he was just 12/13 years old.
Joost was raised to have a broad vision of the world. His father told him that since humans invented borders, he could invent the world. His own world. And that's exactly what he did.
But where ever he went on his travels, he still carried the pain of losing them.

@@mmartijn78 I know. And that's true. Read what I am saying. I am talking about language and how the meaning of the word techno is different in other languages. Techno is a sub genre of EDM, however in many languages/ cultures the word is used as a synonym for EDM instead of a word for the sub genre.
Hardcore and such are sub genres of EDM, so it is not that wrong when in other languages they call it techno, since they use the word differently than we do in Dutch. It would be different if someone in Dutch would call it techno.
