Very helpful, I’m having a similar issue with Babywise so really appreciate your thoughts and this comparison!

this was a really succinct and useful comparison, thanks. I just finished reading the baby wise book and I was overall impressed by the practical and reasonable approach to the sample schedules and the flexibility it allowed while also emphasizing the importance of establishing the baby's metabolic memory and circadian rhythm with consistent daily routines.
But so far it's the only book I read, soI wanted to see what else there is so that I have something to compare it to. I've heard taking care of babies is somewhat expensive, i'm wondering how close her advice is to the general guidance in baby wise?
ps: keep up the youtube content. it's proven to be a nice gig for me and you're definitely one of the more articulate and personable women i've seen doing lifestyle content.

Our lactation consultant has advised us that taking care of babies is really bad advice. I really want to do 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks but can not get my wife on board.

interesting, what is it about TCB that she disagrees with? I wanted 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks to work but it was just too long between feeding windows and my son was losing weight. I continue to go back to TCB and my son is now a toddler and such an amazing sleeper still, evening thought vacations, starting preschool and moving houses.

True. I don't know a single IBCLC who recommends TCB or any sleep training program for that matter. Babies are falling off the growth charts!
