in my experience the game goes like this: - Builds decent factory - Introducing new element - spaghetti - rebuild decent factory - Introducing another new element - return of the spaghetti rinse and repeat
On my first game , its been a loot of spaghetti, and i have all 4 tear SE parts , and it cost me 200 hour . On my second game, i build a central belt, and have all 4 tear SE parts in 75 HOURS
I just rush conveyor floor holes, do whatever lazy cursed spaghetti I want in the subfloor then just route everything up to a clean factory floor with the machines.
I get 3 miners, hook them up to ore patches then get assemblers and mk2 belts and storage containers then wait for them to fill up. Once full then I can start my actual factory.
Even my fourth playthrough is a little pasta like. Everything is sectioned well I just need to use logistics floors to organize the cross dependencies.
I call that spaghetti and that is how my conveyors look in both factorio and satisfactory. It may not look the nicest or be the easiest to find everything but at least it works lol

My main base initially looked like the end of this short, then I decided it simply wasn’t good enough, it was too messy, too disorganized, not enough production and just renovating the whole thing would be too difficult, so I decided to start from scratch with a new main base just a couple blocks down the road. Much bigger, and much better……… Now Im trying to make a good Crystal Oscillator production, an entire floor’s worth of machines, but that simply wasn’t cutting it for me, so what did I do? Have it take up 2 or 3 more entire floors? I built this absolutely massive warehouse structure just for the oscillators, and suddenly, now I want to start a brand new bigger and more productive base from scratch again, starting with cleaning up my initial base and turning the whole place into a massive train station platform.
The first time I played I was the embodiment of “I don’t know, I didn’t think I would get this far”

@@wasdered1034 I started being organized and it takes some time to build stuff now but it looks good at least.
Every consecutive playthrough is nothing more than some measurable increase in time before everything inevitably descends once more into spaghetti.
fr, looking back on someone's first save file is like discovering some ancient art form.
This is making me not regret my decision to reorganize, it is actually manageable to walk around and go through now

same i have a "logistic floor", usually the bottom under the foundations that has most of my interconnecting conveyors lol
So, I've started building kinda like this, but when my factory got bigger, I didn't really want to rebuild the whole thing, so I left it like it is.
