I think Namjoon has some "tells" on how he's feeling: if he's surprised (both because of positive or negative things) he fake-laughs, and when he's tired he gets snarky.
There is this compilation of Suga being secretly being good in English. That is fun one to watch

I love hearing BTS speak English but since my first language is Spanish I get even more in my feels when I hear BTS speak Spanish, holy shiz their accents are so impressive
It's so adorable to me when they speak english. I grew up multilingual and it's always awesome to see and understand how different people and cultures construct reality through different perspectives/languages.
Landon if you were to interview them I would enjoy that so much because you're an awesome person!
I am very impressed with how their english has improved, it is so hard to learn another language (I know 3 languages heyyyyyyy :D )

The part from 16:21 to 16:28 (if anyone wants to know) is from an ad from 2016 called Talk! Talk! KOREA.
I’ll never forget it because it’s the ad that got me into the rabbit hole that is BTS (it interrupted a video I was watching on CZcams and once I saw the Fire choreo in it I was done for and looked up the Fire MV). Anyway, love your reaction as always Landon 💜
Ok but jokes aside can I say how proud I am of all the members to go to the U.S and still take the time to learn sentences and get themselves out there with a language they don't know answering interviews and all, my babies

their language skills have gotten so much better over the years. i honestly think yoongi and kookie are lowkey fluent.
btw the one think i don’t really like about the video is that it mocks their accents a bit. koreans have a habit of adding -eu to the of things just due pronunciation issues.
Flexing: I’m fluent in 3, and proficient in 4th at the level that BTS is in English. But we need to remember that they can understand and READ in English at a much higher level than they can spontaneously string a sentence together... that just takes sustained practice and immersion. Motivation and paying attention are key. Recently, Suga & JK have expressed so much motivation! Most importantly, we love that they can SING in English!!! Waiting for Dynamite!

You know when they mentioned BTS were comparable to The Beatles in 2017, and you said they'd probably surpass them well.... I don't recall the UK building a venue solely because the demand for The Beatles is so large that their home country felt bad they didn't have more places to perform at, with more of their fans.😏 IMPACT! Also, universities across the world are adding Korean to their curriculum and, I can't remember the country, but they're said to be adding Korean as an option for Language in its highschools. GLOBAL IMPACT!!!

Jungkook has been taking online English lessons too cuz he said that one day he'd like to help RM speak on interviews too. Jhope, Jin and Suga also speaks English well when they interact with people but not most of that is caught on Camera. Jhope explained himself well about their Becky G collaboration on the iHeart Radio interview. JK expressed himself well during the interview at the Subway in Manhattan with Jimmy F. And Jin showed his social skills with local folks in Malta talking freely in English. And you can't teach Suga bad words cuz he understand English but low key speaks it. I think they all do. And ARMY is so proud of them all! Happy Monday Landon! 💜💜💜💜

Being multi-lingual sounds good on paper, but forgetting your native language as well as random words in each language when you need to use them is just such a pain in the butt xD I'm currently learning Korean as my fourth language and if you want to start with Korean, go for it, honestly :D Even just as much as learning how to read hangul, it's pretty easy :D You can easily learn it in a few hours and it feels good when you know how to read stuff. it will also help you with correct pronounciation and you will better understand why Koreans pronounce some English words the way they do and why they have problems with some

Random but!!! Oof I wish I could’ve made a friend like you while I lived in LA! I remember in a past video you mentioned working in Beverly Hills (yes dude it was probably them who visited your store) and for years I too worked at a salon one street over from you on Camden (and I even saw Hobi posing for a photo on Wilshire when they were in town for the speak yourself tour last year! He was taller than he looks on camera btw I was not prepared since he is ~*babie*~ in my mind lmao) Anyway, Idk if I just had bad luck making genuine friendships while I lived in LA...but it brings a smile to my face knowing that there were sweet funny people like you so close by. Gives me hope to keep my heart open to the prospect of meeting good people. Your videos bring me so much laughter/comfort and I am so thankful!!!

The "Turn up" moment is from when BTS went to America (show called American Hustle Life) many moons back. I watched it once and wont watch again tbh. The way some of those ppl treated BTS was horrible. That guy you saw was Coolio the rapper. He was SO horrible especially to Tae.
They also "kidnapped" them all in the back of car and you can see BTS knew nothing about it and were TERRIFIED. That was really horrible to watch :( There are some lovely moments in it too but.......
Yeah AHL can be hard to watch at times.
Coolio was harsh but at least he wasn't truly malicious to them and I believe most of it was for the cameras (especially as he's much nicer to them in the behind the scenes clips). His teaching method was the hard-knock kind (I prefer Iris and Warren G's styles, myself tho) and he ended up acknowledging them. Well, at least, he actually taught them something and didn't just mess with them to mess with them. And I did appreciate that he didn't treat them like little kids coming to play.
I agree that plenty of the beginning of AHL was just unnecessarily cringey, but there is a whole bunch of great and precious moments that make me still recommend the series.
I'd have to say that Dante was the only one truly horrible to them (and maybe the owner of that airplane cleaning place, but that's his business, so who knows). Idk what Dante's problem was, but he was just mean, even the other mentors had no clue what was going on with him when they talked about it.
@@em5522 I thought he was extremely rude, full of himself and dismissive especially to Tae who was trying really hard to please. Nope, can't watch those parts. Horrible man.
