People has forgotten the Knicks had a major piece missing half of the season and that's Julius Randle giving 25ppg, 10 rebs, 5 assists per. Julius and Jalen combo was working really well before the injury! With Julius out, it gave Donte the chance to step up and blossom.

Listen to RJ back pedal and find away to give Brunson his credit after Brunson absolutely embarrassed him for his shiity take.
Then some weirdo is calling Brunson a less appealing Harden is insane considering Jalen actually carries the team in the playoffs. Brunson is 5 inches shorter too and nobody can stay in front of him.
The more appropriate comparison whether anyone likes it or not is a shorter Luka.

I'm a Knicks fan but isn't the high usage rate PG the type of player/offense Kobe warned wouldn't win a title? Knicks need a wing who can create his own shot. Channing and JJ's take are 100% spot on. Jalen really doesn't make the players around him better. They actual defer so he can be better by playing exceptional defense, offense rebounding, and unselfish play. They are built for Thibs.

Jalen is playing this way based on the players they have. He's really the only one that can create his own offense consistently. He wouldn't play like this if he had another great scoring wings. I've seen so many instances when he gives up the ball to his teammates when trapped and they just look lost. But he definitely passes the ball when he's double teamed. That's why he's still averaging double digit assists.

No, that style of play Kobe was referring to was James Harden’s run in houston. JB is the best shot creator on the team and he’s looking to find the edge between scoring and play-making, whichever the defense is giving up. Harden set out to win mvps and scoring titles it’s not the same.

Yes but remember that Harden became a shell of himself in the postseason as the guy. Too many no show appearances. Harden refuses to play defense and is/was very much a finesse player. I fail to see the similarities between them beyond the fact they’re PGs. Brunson can and will still dominate games without getting 15 free throws a game. He is also much more under control and dictates to the defense what they’re going to do as opposed to harden just flat out foul hunting. Idk. Maybe I’m a homer but I don’t see the similarities.
I said on another comment, IMO Brunson is more of a Luka style player than most want to admit except Luka is 6’7 and Brunson is 6’1 or 6’2.

Jalen has been dishing assists as well, he is a great playmaker and his gravity alone makes his teammates better because less attention is placed on them, Kobe was talking about James Harden who is a famous playoff choker and his Houston era style definitely doesn't translate to the playoffs as well as Jalen Brunson's, plus even if this did apply, Kobe was a great player and really passionate about basketball but he could also be wrong as well.

Terrible take, your not a Knicks fan because if you were you would know the ussage rate only went up that high once randle got hurt and the idea that these players are having career years and Brunson isn’t making them better is a joke
