  • Carrying a good handgun for everyday use or self-defense is always a plus. I like owning a snub nose revolver because it's more concealable and compact than pistols. You can quickly draw it from your pocket whenever the need arises.
Snub nose revolvers have been around since the 19th century, and now they are produced in various calibers, including .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .44 Special or .44 Magnum. Today, we will discuss the best snub nose revolvers in a .38 caliber.

9mm can be had in a revolver, and Liberty Arms 50 gr 2000 fps, 450 ft lbs solid copper hp, from a 2" barrel, is a LOT more effective than plus P 158 gr lhp;s from a .38 snub, or for that matter, from the .38, cause it's only got 1500 fps 270 ft lbs, due to the wussy-loading of the .38 ammo in the US. at such low velocity, the copper hp will probably not expand in flesh, resulting in less blood loss, less shock/pain, and therefore less likelihood that the hit will stop your attacker. Animal tests prove this, and you can repeat them yourself.
