    I operate a hooklift truck for my local municipality hauling dried sludge from our wastewater plant to the landfill for land-app use, and the past 2 years I’ve been wanting start my own business for extra income. In the past couple months, I acquired a used hooklift truck, 2-40 yard containers, 2-20 yard containers, and 2-10 yard containers. Just got my PUC and got my tipping account at my local landfill last week, and I’ve already got my 40 yard containers and a 20 yard container out on jobs. Videos like these is what pushed me to take the leap. Thanks for all the information you’ve provided for guys who are trying to start out.

      Go to Google, read every dumpster companies reviews, but not the 5-Star reviews... read the 1-Star reviews. Find our what other companies won't do or can't do, or are unwilling to do .... that's where you'll find the niche in your market. Circle back with me and let me know how it works out for you. Best of luck.

  • @junkremovalquadcities2277

    I'm a fan of your videos after just watching a hand full of them. Although I don't agree with everything you say-I learn something from every one of your opinion/fact filled presentations. Let me ask you a trick question: You say your one day rental ($250.00) is the most popular with your customers, but is the three day rental($375.00)a better profit opportunity for you? Careful how you answer; )

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  Před rokem +1

      $250.00 for the 24 hour rental is the most profitable all the way around. The only exception to that is if someone rents for (3) days and request a pickup after 24 hours.

    • @junkremovalquadcities2277
      @junkremovalquadcities2277 Před rokem +1

      @@samedaydumpster Now I told you it was a trick question.....So you're getting $63/day rent on a $5000 asset that will last a couple of decades(if you keep it away from idiots on excavators). Your valued customers are literally buying you a new dumpster every two and a half months.
      Now there are haulers in the "turn and burn" camp who say they can haul a container so many times on daily rentals that you don't want it to sit, but I'm saying that hauling that container doesn't provide the ROI that such an amazing daily rental ($63/day)provides.
      Anyway that's why we communicate-To share ideas and possibly learn from one another. Keep the videos coming.

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  Před rokem +2

      @@junkremovalquadcities2277 $63/ day…. No… I’m getting $250/ day. With 90% rental efficiency. To keep it simple…. That’s 6 days a week. Or $1500.00 / week or $6,000 / month per can. That means my ROI is 100% in less the 3.5 weeks. That means my friend I pay for that can in full in less than a month. Not sure where the trick question is…. No games… just profit.

    • @junkremovalquadcities2277
      @junkremovalquadcities2277 Před rokem +1

      @@samedaydumpster If i write a $5000 dumpster off over 10 years/120 months (which is actually too quickly), I get $42/month in depreciation, plus $3 for general liability (i pay $3000/year for 100 dumpsters), and maintenance of say $15/month(which is plenty generous given were writing it off over a quick 10 years so major repairs shouldn't be an issue) . So the rent at $63/day would be about $1900/month revenue, minus the $60 cost, is a profit of $1840/month.
      Whats your profit on the $6000 revenue for hauling/disposing the box 24 times? We might both have valid points- I can't tell what your profit is without knowing your costs.

    Guys aren't running 15/20 yard cans there for concrete? Our market there's still tipping fees for clean fill and concrete, can be as much as 185 as certain places. The market can get overwhelmed with material, so they charge.

  • @FabricioBatista000

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  Před rokem +1

      It doesn’t go to the landfill. Our goes to either a concrete plant or asphalt plant. They crush it and reuse it back in as new concrete or new asphalt. They take the material for free - no charge.
