UPDATE: Scanning any amiibo Card will prompt the Nintendo Fan to say, "I didn't realize you could even get amiibo like this! I've only ever seen the figure kind before. Hey. If you find an amiibo figure, would you show it to me?"

I’m going to take a few points of your Huge Nintendo Fan title. Just a few points off.
The idea that a evil villain took over a world in which Amiibo Jason never saw an amiibo makes so much since it would be the darkest timeline.
I hope they make more amiibo costumes. Maybe in an update?
If they did, it would be only Nintendo-owned characters since characters like Sonic and Mega Man would require Nintendo to go to the companies who own said characters (i.e. Sega and Capcom) and get their okay to put said third party characters in as amiibo outfits.
But it would be cool, especially to see if they put outfits based on Marth, Ike, Chrom, Shulk, and other Nintendo characters who would fit in.
@@jeremyriley1238 I don’t know if thats how it works considering nintendo already have the rights to make the amibos I’m sure there allowed to use the products in any of their games considering Mega Man and Sonic Amibos already exist

4:46 shall I give you a fun fact about the splatoon amiibo. In the Dutch translation of miitiopia the female and male amiibo names of the splatoons are switched on accident and there's has been no patch for that yet
There’s one more conversation you’re missing. If you scan an animal crossing card (or Mario cereal Amiibo, thanks Killian the gamer for telling me), they’ll say they thought you can only get figures and ask to be shown one.

I tried it with my Mario Cereal Box Amiibo, and the same thing happened
it's also worth nothing that while all of these amiibo are also compatible in the 3DS version of the game, the colors for the Yoshi Clothing and the Toad Clothing were _slightly_ changed in the Switch version! the difference isn't crazy, which makes the decision to change them in the first place all the more confusing...

I'am very disapointed they did not add new costumes even though many new amiibos were created between 3DS and Switch version. I though at least Pearl and Marine would get added as costumes.
Same with Lucas, Pokemon Trainer, and Ridley.

the splatoon 2 amiibos give the old outfit with them as well. I have the inkling boy with the different hairstyle and it gave me the old one, they just werent shown on the screen in the video
It seems all of the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards are pretty much worthless for this (along with the Mario Sports Superstars cards).
If you scan one in, the Nintendo fan says that they've heard about cards but are only interested in Amiibo figurines.
It also seems to know the difference between cards that have corresponding figures (at least it did for me with my Resetti card and statue/figure) 😩

@@mialovespink2937 All figures work fine, but only certain ones will give you outfits (as outlined in the video).

Yeah! But you have to make sure they're set to amiibo. There's a little switch on the bottom to swap between Skylanders & amiibo. Thank you, btw.

Friendly reminder! All amiibo costumes present here are also available in the Miitopia for 3ds game. Avalibility doesn't differ between versions either.
A New Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL, 3DS LL, 2DS XL, or 2DS LL is capable of reading amiibo without required assistance.
To scan an amiibo on older 3DS hardware, turn on your Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer and tap an amiibo to its base with the IFR pointing towards the system's IFR scanner.
On Nintendo Switch, amiibo may be scanned through the right joycon or through a Nitne Switch Pro Controller. Some Controllers may not be compatible with this feature.

I have a little update for the inkling boy and girl clothing. If you scan the inkling boy and girl from splatoon 2 they’ll give you the same costume! I’ve would’ve liked to see a whole different costume but hey, at least it gives you something!

What if the *Loftwing & Zelda* amiibo doesn't give the Zelda mii costume…
…the amiibo isn't even out yet (at the time of this comment), so I'd like to know the source of the information that the Loftwing & Zelda amiibo will be treated like a Zelda amiibo in games that support Zelda amiibo.
After all, the Isabelle, Tom Noom, and Resetti amiibo cards don't work, as none of the amiibo cards reward anything. Niether does the Mario Cereal amiibo. There's just dialogue about the Nintendo fan having only seen figures before, then the game returns to trying to scan again.
If the Loftwing & Zelda isn't treated like just another Zelda, then it won't give the Zelda costume, even if you don't have it. Oh, yeah, should also mention that if you already have the costume you can scan a different version of the character to get game tickets.
And it's not like you included every amiibo of the other mii custume characters, as modern 8-Bit anniversy Mario and Silver Mario are missing.
As well as Mounted\Riding Link and Wolf Link. I don't know if these Links will give the link costumes, but if they don't, it's a good sign the L&Z amiibo also won't, since both the aforementioned Links have other characters on the figures; Mounted\Riding Link includes a horse, and Wolf Link includes Midna, and they aren't even named in the amiibo names, where Loftwing is in the L&Z amiibo's name.
If you didn't just include the L&Z ammibo in the video because it was recently announce and will bring in views, please link the source for where you got the compatibility information in description.
If some people don't have any Zelda amiibo and buy the L&Z amiibo after it comes out solely for the mii costume, because your video said it gives the costume and the L&Z amiibo will be easier\cheaper to get then the other amiibo featuring Zelda, only to find out that it doesn't work; this video will be dislike bombed.
Not saying your wrong, I don't have any sources saying it won't be giving a zelda costume. But I haven't seen any sources saying it will… except this video… but I remember many times that misinformation spread like wildfire because of a single post that wasn't fact checked.
So I would like to see some official source.
I checked the official Nintendo amiibo compatibility page, and it was way out of date, saying Wedding Mario's function in compatible games is "To Be Announced"; and the L&Z amiibo can't even be searched.
Thanks for your detailed comment. I don’t know if the Zelda and Loftwing Amiibo will provide the Zelda outfit. That’s why I included a question mark next to the figure on the screen. I didn’t include silver Mario or dark hammer slam Bowser because the screen was already crowded and I did specifically state that any Mario or Bowser would work. I haven’t actually tested rider link, but I can confirm that wolf link does not give you links outfit. Hope this clears up any confusion.

I hadn't noticed the '?' next to the L&Z amiibo; which is why I made my comment. I apologize, but I'd still like to point out I hadn't seen the '?', so my comment is at least somewhat called for.

I tried the princess Peach costume on my Peach Avatar and it's like having the the actual character in the game ,it is Awesome. 😸
You forgot to put the dark hammerslam bowser skylander up in the bowser section.
Be warned folks, scanning Animal Crossing card will not get you the retrospective outfit, I have a Isabelle card, and it just says I never seen an amiibo like this before.

If I may step in, there's something I feel that should be noted.
It's only amiibo *figures* that can be scanned in to get rewards. Cards, the Super Nintendo World bands that function as amiibo, and I would assume the Super Mario Cereal amiibo do not give you any reward in the game. No costume, or game tickets. If I had to assume, this is done mainly so you can't completely cheese the game and get 18 game tickets per pack of Animal Crossing amiibo cards you get.

@@MiiTJChannel I think it was a GameXplain video where I found out about the Nintendo World bands. Though I could be misremembering. As for amiibo cards I have tested them myself to see if I could cheese the game and get a ton of game tickets, to which I learned first hand that you can not. As for the Super Mario Cereal amiibo, I can’t test it myself sadly out of not having a box of it, and I’ve yet to see a test of it. That said considering how the amiibo functions in most games, I can only assume it wouldn’t function like the others I mentioned.

And back to Miitopia... Mario and Luigi got amiibo support, but why no Wario? I mean, we can all say he's got the most unique overalls (SM64DS was my childhood) not to mention his Biker outfit from Wario Ware...
Another thing I hope they update/add would be more colors. Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach (and maybe even Daisy and Rosalina) should have fire flower and ice flower color options. Isabelle outfit could have various textures since her outfits change based on season, event, etc in Animal Crossing NL/NH.
Or maybe the oufits could change shape, like Mario, Luigi, and Toad's outfits could have the cape from SMW/SMM2, and Toad could be swapped to Toadette for female miis? I know it might be a bit much to add the Cat Suit, or Tanooki/Kitsune suit from SM3DL+W but maybe they could add the ears and tail onto the default color like they did in NSMB2? Or the princesses biker suits from MKWII/MK8?
They have a Kirby costume but they don’t have a meta knight costume. My only amiibo character.
So sad that Pokemon is not there :(
Pokemon isn't owned by Nintendo. All the Amiibo outfits you can get are only of Nintendo characters.

Yeah. If you would've scanned Dr Mario first, he would have given you the amiibo costume and Mario would have given you the game tickets. Every different Mario you scan from here on out will give you game tickets :)
