  • Travel writer Pól Ó Conghaile continues his walk in Ireland’s sunny southeast.
Pol’s route takes him onto the beaches of Rosslare and after a few kilometres along the shoreline, he meets Georgina Driver, her little girls and mother Maureen. Georgina loves hiking and when she had her children she made sure that they came along with her. She now has a large instagram following ( Our Little Hiker) where she posts photos of her family on their hikes.
Leaving Our Little Hiker behind, Pól continues on the beach before he turns inland at Ballytrent for a stretch of quiet roads, before meeting some cyclists for a chat at our Lady’s Island. Lady’s Island is a peninsula with a 2km loop with views across nature reserves and the ocean. Pól meets Lorraine O’Dwyer who has some colourful stories to tell. Pól finishes his walk and the series at Lady’s Island…in the sunshine, of course.
