Ireland has some of the Best Quality Food in the World.
On the contrary, appart from the quality fish and excellent beef Irelands restaurants are really very basic.

St Brigid is the saint of Kildare, not Derry. Not the point of this video I know, but I felt the need to make that correction. Truth be told, I'd never heard of Boxty until I started watching tourists videos of their visits to Ireland. Its entirely possible to be a common dish eaten on St Brigid's Day but I'd wager its more of a local tradition in certain counties. In Kildare there's no real traditional food that's eaten on the day that I'm aware of, we mainly go to mass and then weave St Brigid's crosses out of reeds afterwards. Other than that, this was a fun video. I do hope you enjoyed your trip.
Im a 70's (Dublin) kid, never heard of Boxty until a place opened in the late 80's in Temple Bar.
I liked your response, before watching the video, as it was informative and polite. Then I watched the video and noticed that she said "Dairy". Which after a quick google search, I found St Bridget is the patron saint of dairy. 😂 Happy St Paddy's day all 🇮🇪☘️
Very nice summary of Irish food, which is often overlooked. It’s really simple and delicious! Good quality ingredients are the key. Hope you had a nice time
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Wow, you are very knowledgeable on all irish cuisine. Delighted that you enjoyed our food products.
Irish Farmer
I love soda bread and make it almost every day. Great vlog, enjoyed it.
Thank you 😊
Girl you nailed it , looks like you really got to know Her "Èire" very well 😅😅, you can have your passport anytime. Fair dues to ye. 🤝🇮🇪
Absolutely loved watching this video of Irish people experiencing the wonders of Indian cuisine for the very first time. The genuine reactions and expressions of surprise, delight, and curiosity. If you wanna try more Indian food then you can also visit Indian Vibe restaurant in Navan, Ireland.
So glad to hear that you didn't go hungry in Ireland - P.S. Great video 👍 - You've managed to make me feel very hungry all of a sudden! 😉
Very good video and that's coming from an Irish person. I would have given tayto crisps a mention and maybe a chicken fillet roll👍🇮🇪
Theyre not chavs hanging around outside spar 😂
@@Neckoya She was in a shop and mentioned crisps but didn't give tayto a mention! Also since when is curry an Irish dish? We're better known for our chicken fillet roll than a curry. Also there are more spice bags eaten in Ireland on a weekend than there is cuddle eaten in a month.
@@jay-lm4we a chicken fillet role is a dish now 🤣
@@Neckoya "20 must try irish foods" is icecream a dish🤣
Very nice country...peace and beautyfull....😍🥰😊👍👍👍♥️
Just back from two weeks circling the Republic and Northern Ireland….omg, just omg! And thanks to you, I had the same meal at Boxty House in Dublin!
Awesome! We love to hear that Shep!
I have just watched your video and am now absolutely starving
I tasted the most delicious Guinness and beef pie in Dublin. Also tried a heavenly seafood soup in Galway.
Sounds delicious!
I would love to have one of those long pieces of fried fish for dinner tonight. With thick steak fries. Mmm!
If you go down the street further from Murphy's (in Dingle), you'll find this fish and chips shop called Reel Dingle Fish. I would argue that it's the BEST fish and chips you'll find on the island.
Argue away…plenty of great Fish n’ Chips in Kerry …and I’m a ‘connoisseur’. Lived there for 3yrs and had the best in Mad Monk, Killarney.
Nice Video
Thanks!
Corned beef and cabbage and for breakfast scrambled eggs with smoke salmon. yum. I found every small town had a trained chef with their own little restaurant....ate some of the best food in Ireland, just ask the locals where to find the best food.
What a fantastic list & best I’ve ever seen!👍
enjoyed~ breathtaking !godspeed,
👍🏼
Fantastic video! I have been to Ireland twice and wish I had seen this food guide before! Looks like I have to go back! Thank you! Great couple, great country and the food looks amazing! Thank you!☘️
Coddle was originally a breakfast dish. Hence sausages and rashers of bacon. Its what i made for dinner today. Coddle and irish stew all taste better on day 2 Irish batch bread or brennans fresh white bread with kerrygold butter and crisps (optional sliced ham) make a great sandwich.
Coddle was not originally a breakfast didh
@@muri134well in the tenements of the liberties it was. Its been a staple dish for 5 generations albeit a dinner dish for at least 3
Delicious food, I recommend!❤
She's a baby doll
Sticky toffee pudding is a Scottish dish.

Love the video. Keep up the good work. But, if it's the last soda you drink, make it a Cidona!!
i love irelan im irish and love there food and beer
Boxty is not something you'd find on most menus. Mainly for the tourists. Other than that, nice video and thanks for promoting Ireland!
Bon apetit:)
I'm Irish and you've made me so hungry 😢
My heritage is Irish. 2 Murphys and pigs foot. Blood pudding on the side maybe 🤔
Sounds pretty Irish!
I'm English but my mother was born and raised in Dublin. I remember when we were little tots, my brother and I on Saturday mornings sitting on the kitchen step with a boiled pigs trotter each. Would take ages to get through it.
I went to the grocery store with my mother, I was older than you. At the butcher counter I realized 😳 blood pudding is not pudding. Don't get me started on head cheese , although I love that too.
Tikka masala is from UK
Wheres the Bacon, cabbage and Spuds.......i grew up on that due to my Irish Mother.
Shepherds Pie or Cottage Pie is not just Irish' its eaten all over Ireland and Britain
ay
nothing more paddish
dan bacon and cabage
put hairs on yer chest
@seamusdelahunty1615 and Guinness, I love me Dark stuff.....the best reason for going back to the Motherland' Co.Galway!
White pudding is far more an Irish thing than black pudding, but barely got a mention!
St brigid is kildare not derry v good video❤
If you’re in Cork try Murphy’s or Beamish stout👌
You forgot Guinness…. It’s way better and creamier than the Guinness in the states. You also forgot Cadbury chocolate. Ireland has the best Cadbury chocolate, especially Cadbury Crunchies, Cadbury Twirls and Cadbury Flakes.
Guinness most definitely does taste better in Ireland. If you are not sure then compare it with the Guinness in England.
A good number of these dishes are found in Britain too!
Ireland England Scotland Wales all.have a take on a cooked breakfast and i love black and white pudding on mine, no hash browns ( thats an American cock up)
The farmers in both countries produce almost the same food, thats why it is nearly always the same.
Hey all❤ I am from India and I will be moving to Ireland in 2024 to pursue my masters.. since I would like to cut down my cost I was looking for locally produced food that I can have on a daily basis .
Can you all suggest some few local and cheap option that I can rely on daily ?
if you are shopping to cook yourself the cheapest stores are lidl and aldi both German but they stock Irish food, if you are eating out it really depends where you are but there are many options once your eating out nothing is really cheap but there are all you can eat buffets so you can eat till you are full and then some kc peaches in Dublin is a good place not all you can eat but you can pile your plate high and they have a good mix of food good price. word of warning if you haven't already try to sort accommodation asap as very expensive and hard to find.
You forgot "spice bag"
Next time!
Did you try a spice bag or chicken fillet roll!!!!
Nope, next time!
You really missed the 2 most popular foods in Ireland!!@@AdamandMadalyn
Im in irland but im American
By law Irish whiskey must be distilled 3 times.
Actually that is not the case. The majority of Irish whiskey is triple distilled but it is not legally required. Slainte :)
wait till they try a spice bag
Stew, any way potatoes are cooked
I would add to this fine listing Seafood Chowder - the best on the planet!
May fvaret india chekan tika
Many things here are not Irish ! You get them all over ? Since when is Shepherds pie and Cottage pie Irish ???
All that looked great but that Pizza look sad AF.
its col cannon
not
kol cannon
Shepherd's pie is English.... delicious but English.
Irish stew is made with lamb or mutton. Guinness stew is not Irish stew!
no its beef and guinness stew
@@seamusdelahunty1615 and it's delicious!
most of this food looks blend and uninspiring.. Not saying it's bad.. it's just... uninspiring.
Shepherds pie and cottage pie are not traditionally Irish 🙄
Sorry, but none of the meals featured looked traditional, more the kind you get in poncy tourist trap restaurants. If it's lamb it's shepherds, if it's beef it's cottage pie. One of the things we love about Ireland is the food.
Ireland was ruled by the UK n that's why you find British cuisine😂😂😂😂
Curry is NOT Irish & never will be!
Otherwise thanks for the great video ❤
Neither are you.
Ireland is the only country in Europe where the native language is not spoken widely.
You can't even sing a single line of your National Anthem.
Anyone who can't speak their mother tongue has no

Curry is available due to Indian immigrants😅😅
Se ve horrible
A survey done nation wide, voted Thai green curry as the favorite choice.
Even the national carrier, Aer Lingus serves thai green curry on their Atlantic flights.
The top most favoured food amongst the natives of Ireland is Domino Pizzas.
In the whole world, Ireland's Domino Pizza branch in Tallaght is the biggest seller.
You'd expect it to be America, that's a shocker.
You pronouncing most things incorrectly

Good god curry isn’t an Irish food 🙄
Chicken tikka masala is not a traditional Indian food invented in Glasgow Scotland
Jesus get over yourself, you are such a pedant!
