I think the archons are so laid back now because they probably want to no longer relive their pasts and now prefer to be more unassuming and see how mortals live. Best example is how well Zhongli has adjusted to the life of an average Liyue citizen. He looks happy, better to be happy and keeping a silent eye over his people than living his days murdering and waging war. Plus the arrival of the Traveller would have also given them the hope that someone far stronger could protect Teyvat has arrived
Yeah. I mean they all hold the guilt of what happened during the cataclysm and lost friends during the archon war. Certainly a bitter memory. And who knows since now we are left with new archons that wasn't involved in the archon war we might get something different.

Expected Kusanali: Little goofy child, who doesn't really take things seriously, is like a Carbon copy of Klee. Reality Nahida: Is actually the most competent Archon so far, not being too strict, while also not being loose. (List gets updated if a new Archon comes)
Don't want to meet the Archons during the Archons War... Don't like the Idea getting hit by an Anemo Attack that blow away most a huge mountain or getting pierce by those Geo Spears.
I love characters that are actually powerful as all hell but lack basic things like common sense, logic and even the ability to live on their lonesome. Lol. I never get tired of the concept.
I wonder if and how the archons will „evolve“. Maybe Venti knowing how to make wine, Raiden / Ei knowing how to cook and Zhongli as a taster of their creations, sounds nice to me.
They are a mess by the standards of a mortal. But remember whatever flaws you know they have, they very likely have a completely different outlook on life and definitely different priorities from someone with a limited lifespan.
