  • A rather useful device. Connect a mic, keyboard and maybe guitar and your voice can be joined by 4 additional voices - so you can instantly become a 5 piece! The unit generates it's own harmonies, or will take another input, such as keyboards or guitar and uses the chords being played to generate the harmonies. All the usual chords - Major, minor, different varieties of 7ths, 6ths and other clever chords can work.
This video is VERY long - so feel free to skip through, but it looks at the useful, less useful and totally pointless presets the unit has. It needed to be long to covere everything the presets can do - you have the option to create presets for your own songs, so it's rather clever - and most presets do work - as long as you can pitch properly. If your singing is er, less good. They're not really very good things to spend your money on.

It's a weird device - but what it does well is perfect for some songs!

@@pauljohnson4590 - Have you tried the “Digitech vocalist Live Pro.” Curious if it sounds better? Thanks again for your great demonstration. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks my man, I just bought one but I haven't hooked it up yet.. can't wait.. do you know if you can add pitch correct to any presets?? Well presets where it doesn't go through the keyboard..

The thing is it does need you to sing accurately - as everything is tied to that. It means it has to identify every pitch, so if you sing F, it looks at the settings - kind of a look up table, and creates whatever kind of harmony you have set, from that note. So the consequences of getting a pitch correct of your 'master' sound wrong, would be multiplied up - so if it thought your F was F sharp, then the harmonies generated could be kind of scary!

@pauljohnson4590 I can halfway carry a tune, and I bought this used without a manual. I'm sure I can download one. But I didn't know if pitch correct was just for your voice by itself or would it work using a harmony.. I'm a keyboardist so that's gonna be fun..

Hello, very good video. If I connect my guitar by the line in (jack) the voices will follow my key? thanks a lot for your help

YEP! as long as you play chords, it will work out the key and adjust your vocals to fit into that key, or provide harmony versions of your voice.

How do you use it, in what way? Have you programmed it, or out of the box presets? And also, can you use it in recordings and separate the harmonies from the originally voice?

The harmonies are tuned, but NOT your original voice, so not designed for normal autotuning - sorry
