Here we have almost 120,000 views and a couple dozen are mine. I recently upgraded from the Voicelive first edition to Voicelive 3, but the reason for so many views of this video is that I love to hear Laura sing. This song is so compelling in it's imagery. Thanks Laura. VL3 is incredibly complicated. It has to be and I'd like to thank TC Helicon for not dumbing this down and giving us full control. That being said we do need a dammit button. The dammit button reverses mistakes that occur when I'm deep down in a menu making changes in places I'll never remember and can't reverse cause I forgot where they were. I've only had VL3 for about six weeks and I've used it in three shows. I'm still in the learning curve so please ignore the noob rant.

This demo is the finest exhibition of the features and quality of the TC Helicon VoiceLive processor. Finally, someone put together amazing pristine vocals (kudos Laura) and professional complimentary guitar accompaniment (and demo of the guitar effects section - awesome Mitch on all styles of play!). I know a lot of work went in to the prep of this demo and the back up tracks - but it certainly sells the unit for solo singer/player guitarists. Thanks for leaving no doubt what the equipment can do if you are already a gifted musician and singer.
Only downside for this type of unit (I own an older generation Digitech 4) is that if you do not hit the notes as purely as Laura does, there is only so much that the technology can do (check out any number of other less perfect demos available on CZcams). I play around with my vocal harmonizer all the time - it's tons of fun. If you do not sing right on pitch, the harmonies are "wobbly" and less pleasing than what Laura executes here - even with pitch correction on main vocal. Still, I love this technology for when I am playing on my own...
The first 3:50 of this vid seems to have garnered a lot of attention. Deservedly so. My hope is that Laura lands it big! Come on you record execs, a treasure is right here! Keep singing like an angel Laura, I am sold.

Probably the best demo song I've heard spotlighting the VL3. The harmonies sound particularly great on this demo. I'm the proud owner of a VL2 and a VL3 Extreme.
I think it's great that you started this with such a lovely demo song. It well demonstrates both subtle application of the VoiceLive tech and the more obvious harmony use. OMGoodness!!! Thank you so very much for doing the guitar effects and distortion demo! It is time for me to upgrade from my TC helicon acoustic play which has served me very well. whereas before I was putting all my backing tracks on my iPad, Bluetoothing it to my amp, now practically everything can be done through this device. Now I can leave my iPad just for the lyrics.

Wish I could trade my Voicelive 2 in for a fair trade for the 3. I currently have the 2 in a pedalboard with boss delay and chorus, eq for boost as well as digitech jam man stereo looper... Would love to eliminate everything with just Voicelive 3. The harmonies that TC are unmatched. My band mates get compliments on their harmonies...:)

The older I get the more compact I want my rig. Amp tone is great in my studio, but in a band mix a large percentage of that "Holy Grail" tone goes right out the door. The VL settings for guitar sit well in a mix and I use an Atomic Active CLR if I want additional stage presence and monitoring. My pedal board gives me more versatility, obviously, but I will be interested to see the effects versatility on this unit. If all else fails, I will still run through the VL3 and out to my guitar rig. Even in that scenario I may use some of the onboard guitar fx as they have made this unit with a dedicated fx signal path. A lot of versatility. A small gig, I can still throw this in my gig bag and be setup in 5 minutes. My only tip is dial back the mix on the harmonies a little. These Helicon demos have them equally present for demonstration purposes, but a little goes a long way.

It's kind of there for vocalists, but like someone commented below, the harmonizer and double layer "tones", just doesn't quite cut it for me; it still has an artificial impact. You only need to record two individual harmonizing voices and compare it to the device. IMO

Am I right in concluding that (apart from holding the delay button for 2 seconds etc) there is no way to just tap tempo without an external switch? To me that is a basic essential feature to any delay for live use, especially for someone also playing an instrument and singing. It has to be quick and easy and part of the main unit; we don't want extra tagged-on bits, and we don't want to wait 2 seconds +
The delay button becomes the tap tempo when you hold it 2 secs. Works fine.
I have the Voiceworks that I use in the studio and its nice to see the evolution of the technology here.. however I think quote "midi, if you want to go back several generations" is a telling comment.
This is perfect unit for the solo singer/guitarist, or acoustic duo playing live...but does not support midi sync of the delay or looper.
So, if you use a drum maschine, sampler, sequencer, synth with arpeggiator or any electronic music, or use in the studio use with a DAW, or are (like many) a cover bands that sequence tracks, the ability to sync the delays and looper to midi is critical.. buying this, then the midi sync'd flashback x4 for delays and then a separate midi sync'd looper is just not economic.
I've listened to about 7 different demoes and reviews of the voicelive 3 and I just ordered one yesterday, will NOT use it for my guitar sound, problem with all the demoes is they feature the harmonies and effects way too loud in the mix, and dwell on cheezey features like "talk box" or synth voice/ vocorder, subtlety is the key to using this box (I have original Voice Live fromyears ago) and none of the demos are subtle
Please make one of these focused on the bassist/vocalist.
I feel you man!!!! But I’ll tell you right now, they probably won’t. The market just isn’t enough for it so I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for them to do it. Better off getting a pedal for your bass, and using this for vocals.

First time I to like the job this woman...fantastic performance...unfortunately live 3 is expensive for me...I will buy acoustic play.
It seems like TC really did their homework and laid things out in a very sensible way. I wish the demo went into the looper, because from all I've read they've quietly slipped the best looper on the market into a product many guitarists will overlook as a specialized vocal effect.
I never get past the first 3 or so minutes. Just feel like listening to her sing on a loop. :)

HELO . Question about the Hrmoniizr , what happens if the tone is not entirely deliberate, whether it gives an accurate third sound (whether the device is fixed on a precise adjustment) or get along with forgery of sound and gives third sound remains intentional ?

I'm so glad my music hobby makes me money... that's why I can definitely say I'm getting this! I love TC-Helicon's gear, though I may end up selling my VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Play GTX since having the VoiceLive 3 will make both of those unnecessary.

Is there a box that doesn't have anything to do with guitars, just a voice processor with tuning, equalization, compression, chorus, delay, harmonization and reverb?
I just got a VL3, and my pre-settings don't seem to match yours.
I wanted to start with your warm preset and build from there, but it doesn't match your setting number? Any help would be appreciated!
Like I was..You are probably stuck in a certain "genre"..so all the presets are not showing..Push genre button and choose different genres and you'll see more presets..Best while you're in genre scroll to "ALL" and all the presets will come up..

Can I go out from midi on this to kaoss pad and it would become the slave to the kp3? Also, can I add an external tap to this so I can tap the tempo of the song in and then that bpm gets sent to voicelive and kaoss pad?
I ve had this new TC voice live Extreme 3 and have nothing but trouble with it. I cant get any out put from it now. I have already sent this back to the company once. They gave me a new cord.
Rod Miller firmware update? I had the problem with my VLplay static a fuzz galore. But make sure your gain is first set to a good signal in the unit first. Cause the preamp in there is where the gain should be directed. What ever you output to should barley need to be turned up.
very nice indeed. I loved that song. I'm a little worried about all the looking down at feet and fiddling while trying to sing to an audience. Is this something we can get used to doing almost in autopilot / without thinking with enough rehearsal at home? I'm guessing it must be.. Don't want to turn into a shoe-gazer by mistake ha ha!
