Notavo che i giovani fan della boxe ripetono che Marvin sia arrivato al match mondiale dopo tanti match. Giusto, ma era la norma. Benvenuti, Monzon, Valdez, Corro e Antuofermo tutti avevano combattuto minimo 45 match prima di diventare campioni. Quelli erano altri tempi.

Perfettamente d'accordo. Per non parlare poi di quelli che pensano che Monzon abbia troppi pareggi che ne intaccano il valore. Oggi solo i pugili latini possono permettersi carriere di quel tipo tra messicani ed argentini.

@@LaGrandeBoxe la storia dei pareggi va spiegata. In Argentina per tutti gli anni settanta e più i giudici davano il pari se non c'era una predominanza netto di uno dei due pugili. Ovvero, Monzon vince di due punti=pari. Questo è quello che accadeva.

Colbert seemed to be a good sport and congratulated Hagler after the fight. Later Colberts manager complained about some type of foul commitmented by Hagler.
